Top notch Seine river dinner cruise
Yes, it's more expensive than other dinner cruises, but you really do get what you pay for. All tables are window seats, there are maybe 20 tables on the boat, the live music is a nice subtle touch, and the food is actual French cuisine that isn't prepared in microwave. If you want to splurge on a romantic evening in Paris, this is a great option with wonderful service.

Versailles Palace will take your breath away
Versailles Palace is a great place to visit on your first trip to France. Don’t leave it out of your itinerary. All the references given by our guide Nancy were fascinating. Make sure you visit the Hall of Mirrors and take a walk by its gardens.

      Highlight of our Paris tour.
Versailles is spectacular and perhaps the most extravagant residence we've ever seen. The magnificent, sprawling gardens hint at the decadence of the monarchy. Not to be missed.

      A must see
The bus was very modern and comfortable even though it was full. The journey of 4.5 hours was smooth with just one stop. The access to the site was easy and our tour guide Alex was amazing. She had fantastic knowledge of the history and architecture and moved at the perfect pace also leaving us time to explore after.

No response received to complaint made in October 2024!
I booked this tour on the 23rd of August and I wish to make a complaint about my overall dissatisfaction with the experience. Unfortunately I have been in hospital the past month so this is the first opportunity I’ve had to contact you. The show itself was great and the champagne was lovely so I’m happy to pay for those, I worked out the estimated cost to be about £112.00. But as for the £175.00 that I paid, this was to include a night lights tour, well of course I understand it’s not your company’s fault that the bus had to take a different route due to the preparation for Paralympics however that should have been made absolutely clear at point of sale. The bus tour was an absolute shambles! It pretty much went round and round the same couple of roads and I had to put up with customers arguing loudly with the tour rep and with the tour rep arguing loudly with them back! I can understand why so many customers were complaining as they were being told that plans for drop off had changed. So it wasn’t exactly relaxing or informative, it just went round and couple of streets and I had to listen to arguing the whole time which was quite unprofessional. However my main issue was that I specifically booked this tour because I’m a solo female traveller and so having this advertised as transport back to near my hotel in Montparnasse seemed ideal. On the night though, the tour rep informed me it wouldn’t be possible to drop me off near my hotel, I said please what am I supposed to do, it’s not safe for me to be left stranded. The tour rep then showed me on a map where it was possible to drop me off and it was about a 15 minute walk from my hotel which by his own admission, would not be safe for a female to walk around in at 2/3am in the morning! He said well it’s either that or you can take a Metro from Pigalle station… I’ve since read some horror stories online of how unsafe this Metro station can be and all I can say is I am so relieved that I didn’t end up doing this. I ended up ordering an Uber at the cost of £12.73 to myself, I’ve enclosed my card statement to show this. This is absolutely unacceptable that I had to do this, considering the tour was advertised as return transport included! I actually ended up spending the duration of the show feeling really worried as to how I was going to get back so it ruined my enjoyment of it, it was a very distressing experience. As you can see on my card statement I paid £175.80 for the tour. I’m not happy with this and I could have just claimed the full amount back from my credit card company but I wanted to give your company the opportunity to resolve my complaint. How do you propose to resolve this? At the very least, I would like you to pay me back £63.00 as I’ve worked out the different between the show and the so-called bus tour and transport. Additionally, please pay me £12.73 to cover the cost of the Uber I had to use.

Evening at the Moulin Rouge with champagne
I was very disappointed with our seat location. The views were restricted and for the cost of the tickets, I would have hoped for better seating. The show itself was amazing, the costumes were very colourful and the artists were incredible.

Disappointing as overpriced and under delivered
We recently took the boat tour that promised "Cozy ambiance with our musical duo live" and spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower. While the views were indeed stunning, especially as the boat slowed by the sparkling Eiffel Tower, the overall experience fell short of what was promised, especially given the high cost. Confusing Boarding Information: The tour provided two different addresses for the boarding point, which led to some initial confusion. Upon arrival, the check-in process felt disorganized as passengers were assigned to one of four boats, not all of which were as pictured in the promotional photos. Misleading Advertisement on Entertainment: Instead of the live musical duo advertised, we were met with recorded music played over speakers. This was a far cry from the "cozy ambiance" we were expecting and felt like a case of false advertising. Uncomfortable Seating Arrangement: Despite paying extra for window seating, we found the tables crammed together, restricting the ability to sit comfortably opposite each other. This seemed unfair, particularly when other guests who paid less enjoyed better seating arrangements. Service and Amenities: The service was slow, with long waits for our champagne and water. Furthermore, the advertisement noted that window seating included "an extra glass of Champagne," which we never received. Quality of Food: While some dishes were fine, one of the main courses was bland and disappointing. Considering the price paid, every dish should have been exceptional. No live music: no live music, just tracks played through the speakers. The music was part of why we booked the trip rather than going with different companies. The atmosphere on board was clearly not what many had expected, as other couples complained and shuffled for better seats. This added to a feeling of general unhappiness among passengers. The misrepresentations in the service make it hard to justify the expense of £256.39. The tour did not deliver on several of its key advertised features, and we were left feeling misled.

Do not use Paris City Vision, unless you enjoy being ditched in a foreign city that you do not speak the language.
The worst experience ever. Here are the problems, one after another: 1. They made a mistake in our returning time. They put us on a 2:30pm return bus even though I booked extended day. They acknowledged the mistake , and said we are on the 5:50pm bus. It was confirmed in writing. 2. When we returned to the pick up points, at 5:45pm, I saw the bus just drove away from us. We were a bit concerned about making it in time as there were delays on our train back, which I asked of they could just for for us a bit. No guarantee was given but at least we made it back on time! 3. They refuse to make any alternative arrangement to take us home. Simply asked us to take a local train. Left us in the freezing cold outside the palace 4. I demanded a refund to at least cover a trip back with uber. But they only offered €15pp which I didn't accept. But they closed the case unilaterally, and I'm not allowed to leave any negative reviews on viator (the agent I booked through). I wasn't alone. There were 2 other couples being ditched as well. 6 of us in total. Both of them don't speak good English (one couple from Japan, another from Brazil) so they struggled to contact Paris City Vision. Many of us paid the money to join the tour is because we are not comfortable taking trains or busses in a foreign country that we do not speak the language. As a tour operator in the hospitality industry, is to ensure you look after your tourist. Not to mention we were on time, even if we were late, there needs to be some form of trying to contact us and wait for us, before you just took off. In this case, took off early without making sure everyone is accounted for. (Which I suspect the driver just wanted to go home and finish the day early. Very unprofessional and irresponsible). Be warned, do not join any tour operate by this company, unless you enjoy being left alone in the freezing cold outside Versailles Palace and take a train home. If Paris City Vision management is reading this, please respond and I'm open to your response regarding this matter. I have also attached the screenshots of the Whatsapp conversations with time indicated as proof that they clearly stated it was 5:50pm pick up, and we made it before 5:50pm, and their lack of attempt to get us home other them asking us to take a train

Eiffel Tower Access, Seine Dinner Cruise, and Moulin Rouge Show
The Eiffel Tower Access, Seine Dinner Cruise, and Moulin Rouge Show was an unforgettable, magical Parisian experience from start to finish. Skipping the lines at the Eiffel Tower allowed us to soak in breathtaking city views without the hassle. The Seine dinner cruise was pure enchantment—gliding past illuminated landmarks while enjoying exquisite French cuisine created the perfect romantic atmosphere. The grand finale at the Moulin Rouge was absolutely spectacular—dazzling costumes, incredible performances, and a vibrant energy that left us spellbound. Every detail was seamlessly coordinated, making the entire evening stress-free and utterly delightful. A must-do experience for anyone wanting to embrace the elegance and excitement of Paris in one unforgettable night!

Our tour guide Leila was outstanding. She was so knowledgeable about all of our stops and everything we saw on the way. It is a 3 hour ride from Paris, but definitely worth it. We loved it and would recommend the day trip to Normandy!

We were picked up from Paris and drove 3 hours to Normandy. There we saw Omaha beach, Juno beach, cemetery and ports.
Going to Normandy was a surreal experience. Almost 100 years later you can feel the weight of what occurred when there and the guide was extremely knowledgeable and explained things in English very well.

We reserved "Fontainebleau & Vaux le Vicomte Day Trip from Paris" weeks ahead of time. We had a great day with Dominique as our tour guide and Maxine as our driver. The entire day went smoothly and there was exactly enough time to see everything and stay on schedule. First we went to Vaux le Vicomte, which had many beautifully decorated rooms, the servant's quarters, and a unique audio guide with dramatization of events in the owner's life. We had lunch there, which was a simple and good buffet style, then the afternoon was spent at Fontainebleau. We got the basic tour which had a bit of explanation during the ride, in both English and Spanish. Others paid for extra narration and they were provided with earphones and a tour around the grounds too, I think. Would most definitely recommend this tour to see in comfort and convenience, the dozens of lavishly decorated rooms of the chateaus of the royalty in France!

We did a lot of tours around Paris, and this was a favorite! A highlight of the tour was the surround-sound audioguide, which played out different scenes and conversations depicting the story of the chateau's owner and creator, who unfortunately for him, crossed Louis XIV. Our teenager even enjoyed it! Pros: not crowded, excellent audio tour, golf car rental on the grounds for exploring the expansive property (25 euros/hr), a bonus carriage museum, and did I mention not crowded? Cons: meeting point was far from central Paris, long bus ride. This tour did not have a in-person guide, just the audio guide. You are basically paying for the admission, audio tour, and bus transportation.

If you have your own car, parking is adjacent and easy.

After clearing the hurdles of finally getting the paperwork done and getting the tickets and finding out where the pickup point was… you get the idea (many phone calls) we had a lovely day. Vaux le Vicomte really well done. Not a whole lot of time to do everything at Fontainebleau so I would skip the train tour of the garden and spend more time inside.

I had a similar experience as reported by others. I booked a Paris Vision Tour in December, 2019, then had to cancel it in April, 2022. I was told that Paris City Vision could not process refund to credit cards. They apparently have no problem with bookings! After many emails, they refunded the money to my PayPal account. Note that I did not use PayPal for the original booking. The refund finally arrived in my PayPal account minus a 5% fee!? Go figure! At least I got 95% of my original booking charge refunded

DON’T BOOK THIS TOUR. First, the tour company failed to send me my ticket, so I didn’t have complete information about the departure, so I arrived just a few minutes after the scheduled time (due to traffic) and the bus left without me! I was only 4 minutes late and as I was turning the corner in the Uber I saw the bus depart. This means the tour guide did not even wait 3 minutes for me! The worst part is, when I called the tour company the French woman on the phone was extremely rude and unapologetic. She told me that everyone was advised to get to the departure point 30 minutes early — however, I never received that information because the tour company never sent the ticket!

I should receive a full refund. DON’T go on tours with Paris CityVision. They are rude and unprofessional. I recommend Blue Fox Travel. The customer service and care is so much better.

This is definitely the worst day trip I've ever been on. We didn't have a tour guide to tell us about the chateaux we were visiting, and it would've been nice to get a little backstory before arriving. We just got off the bus and then back on.

Our ride was not only late picking us up but we got back an hour later than anticipated because of traffic, which I anticipate happens every day. That makes sense but please tell us ahead of time when we're actually going to get back - I had plans I was late to because of this.

We arrived Paris City Vision on time at 9:10 a.m. on the day trip. There were a lot of people inside and outside the shop but there was no sign or directions for the Chateaux de Fontainebleau and Vaux le Vicomte Day Trip. There were about 40 people in line inside the shop but only a few people working. My husband lined up while my sick children and my parents sat down on a bench waiting to join the tour. At around 9:20 a.m., a lady came up to my husband to help. She then told my husband that the tour bus has left at 9:15am. We (6 of us signed up for the tour via Viator) were shocked because we arrived on time and HAD NOT cancelled the tour. We asked the lady for assistance and whether they could contact the tour guide or we could catch up with the group at the site by taking our own transportation to get to the Chateau. She went to seek advice from her manager Daniel Acosta. It was not until 10 minutes later that Daniel Acosta came to us, telling us bluntly that he could not do anything to help us out because that would jeopardize the tour. We explained to him that we could arrange a local mobile service to catch up with the tour guide. We were desperate and totally disappointed with Daniel. He showed impatience and annoyance in talking to us not to mention seeking to offer any advice or assistance for refund. When we asked for his name, he wrote it on a piece of tiny paper. My husband took a picture of it in case we would lose it. Daniel turned mad and said he would call the Security! At that moment, I felt that I needed to step up to protect my family from the hostility. I told him politely that it was beyond our comprehension that taking a picture of his name and seeking assistance from him would end up in a situation like this. Again he demanded us to leave his office immediately or he would call the Security. We felt that we had not been fairly treated from the very beginning and his reception to us was discriminatory. At that point, I felt the need to verify his name with what he wrote down on the tiny piece of paper as the badge he wore had flipped inside out showing the blank side of it. He hesitated but showed me in response to my further polite request. Having done so, he demanded us to leave his office again and repeated that we were not welcomed in his office in a rude manner. Our family members are well educated people. We had respect for the other tourists in the shop and did not want to make a scene, therefore we left quietly. We are frequent and experienced travelers. We managed to arrive at the Chateau before lunch time despite the unhappy situation.

Both my husband and I work in the medical field and have to take care of the need of patients with different background and ethnicity on a daily basis. Some are difficult; some have language barriers or disabilities. Yet we are able to overcome difficult situations and resolve problems for them as we believe, with kind intention and patience, we should be able to render a good service to our clients. We are, however, extremely disappointed in Paris City Vision’s poor management and customer service. Not only did they refused to refund the tour for our party of 6, they failed to provide assistance, they threatened and discriminatorily treated us like barbarians which we found unacceptable.

Dear Patty, We apologize for the inconvenience you and your family experimented. We are sorry to read that you couldn't attend to the tour you booked at time due to a lack of communication. We're confused that our agent Daniel lost patience. We can assure you that this incident doesn't reflect our manners to treat clients. Our goal number one is making our customers happy so be sure that this type of event will not happen again. If you are able to get in touch with our customers service team, we would love to discuss your experience in detail. Best regards, Christophe

We choose audio guide option, but was very disappointed, because on the bus ( big one , for 40 people) was mix of people who bought audio and personal guided tour, so on the way to Fontainebleau and Vaux-le-vicomte we could not experience any comments from our in bus guide , only people who bout not audio option. Could not hear her for almost two hours driving experience , which was not clear explanaed on the discrepancies about audio option, also in the description of that tour Viator company , which we perches from ,stated what group will be up to max 8 people group ( that was a reason why I picked that company tour) , was full 40 people bus, which not what it was promised on description of that tour
I am extremely disappointed with tour description listed on website. The description clearly stated that number of travelers will be limited to 8 person ( that was the ONLY reason I purchased this tour). However the tour was conducted on the large bus for 40 passengers .When I asked local tour operator in Paris about 8 persons tour which I booked, they stated that such small group tours are never provided.
for serious misrepresenting of this tour advertising.

Can't fault this trip at all. The location of the meeting point is beside the Tuileries jardin, or a five min walk from the Pyramides metro station - so fairly easy to locate. The actual coach was comfortable, air-conditioned and it wasn't packed with people, meaning I had the seat beside me free for some personal space which was a bonus. The driver was very good also, no speeding or whatnot.

I opted for the audio guide-only option and was very happy with this. You are given your tickets upon entering the coach, and the tour guide was very welcoming and gave a few wee notes over the microphone while driving to the chateaus.

The amount of time given for Vaux le Vicomte was quite sufficient - I am the sort of person who reads every single note, and listens to every bit of audio guide and I had plenty of time to take in every room, have a wee sit in the gardens and pop to the gift shop.

I feel the time for Fontainebleu was a little rushed - I didn't quite realise how immense the chateau was, and was rather rushed towards the end and had to skip a few rooms when I realised two and a half hours had passed and I still have ten rooms to go! I would therefore make people aware of that, if they choose the audio guide option - maybe skip the less important rooms to give yourself a little bit of time in the gardens before meeting back at the coach.

The cost covers entrance to the chateaus, audio guides and coach travel. It was well worth it - in my view. I was debating arranging the travel myself, but am extremely glad I opted for Viator as both chateaus were far out of Paris and fairly rural!

The only downside was some of the other passengers, I shan't get petty but please - when the tour guide starts speaking on the coach, be quiet and listen. She is giving instructions for what to do on the day, and is not making small talk. A few people were (loudly) confused about what to do, after speaking right through her talk. Be respectful and let the tour guide speak, before you talk to your fellow passengers. Basic courtesy.

Vaux le Vicomte was the absolute best audio your I've ever experienced. It's surround sound with more of a personal story about the people who lived there and their story. I strongly suggest renting a costume from the counter to wear during the tour.
Fountainbleu was gorgeous as well but all of the audio your was about the furniture and not the history of the chateau. Boring!!

*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
