If you’re coming to Bordeaux by train, don’t buy your city pass online.
Nov. 2021 • Friends
If you’re coming to Bordeaux by train, don’t buy your city pass online. We did, and when we wanted to exchange the voucher for the city pass, they told us we needed to do this from the city center. To get to the city centre, you need to pay for transport. Broken system.

Dear Pauline A, We thank you for your comment we regret. We are surprised anyway because on our website are mentionned the conditions for picking up the citypass bought on line. On the FAQ section, to prepare your trip at best, you can find the following question and answer: « After buying online, where do I collect my CityPass? You can pick up your CityPass at any of the Bordeaux Tourist Office welcome desks upon presentation of the voucher (12 cours du 30 juillet or 2 place de la Bourse) ». We would like to mention the price of 1,70€ for a single transport ticket valid for one hour, our both welcome desks located repectively at 12 and 10 minutes from the train station with a direct line C or D. We sincerely hope this won't stop you from making another trip to Bordeaux. Best regards,

Great 1st trip to Bordeaux
Good option if you want to maximise your first visit of Bordeaux. Main museums and bus tour, Cité du vin etc. are all included. Plus you can use all public transport- unlimited trips during the life of your city pass.

Amazing Trip with Friends
Sep. 2019 • Couples
We loved our four days in Bordeaux and hit the ground running to see as much of this beautiful city as we could. The Bordeaux City Pass is a MUST to get onto the busses and into so many venues without having to stand in a ticket line. We hope to return for another visit and the City Pass will be the first item we secure. The Tourism Office is a huge help on when and where to go..so much information and helpful tour agents!

WORTH HAVING BUT NOT CHEAP
Sep. 2019
The Bordeaux City Pass is worth having but it is not cheap and to get your money's worth have to use it sensibly and take care to visit various attractions when the pass is valid - some only accept it at certain times of the day. And if you are thinking of going to the Botanic Gardens do not bother unless you want a laugh - I have never seen so many weeds to the extent you really have to look for the flowers. The most attractive part is use of public transport - especially the trams - but you can get public transport passes from the transport office at Quinconches bus and tram terminus in the city centre - multi journey smart cards - which can be used for more than one person simply by tapping in twice or by however many people are travelling. If it is the public transport you want, go for the smart card bus/tram pass, particularly if you are only going to visit a handful of attractions. Take care also with the open top bus - it is NOT hop on/hop off - you have to go all the way round.

Reasonable value Pass
Sep. 2019
If you use this pass to travel regularly on the local tram/bus and utilise the various free entry options it can be good value. If buying online or through Trip Advisor the online ticket you receive is not your pass, you need to take it to the tourist information to redeem and receive your Pass..

worth it for us
Sep. 2019
we got the 72 hour pass and I think we got our moneys worth. Did the bus tour which was very good and interesting, we went in as many attractions as we could and used the trams non stop. We also took the boat taxi from Quinconces to the last stop up the river and had 45 minutes there to chill with a beer before returning, just like a river cruise. I

Down memory lane.
Apr. 2019 • Friends
Fantastic visit. First one made in 1961. I got my love of France by going on an exchange with my school. My headmistress now not with us anymore gave me the chance to make friends with a French family and I am still in touch with my friend today. 58 years later!! Brilliant stay in April with good central self catering apartment. Thank you.

Excellent Value
May 2019
I used a 48hr pass, which gives unlimited travel on local buses, Trams (which are excellent) and ferries. It also gives free or reduced price access to may attractions, such as the City du Vin - including wine tasting. The passes are available for 24, 48 and 72 hrs and well worth the price if you plan ahead and use them for attractions as well as transport. The passes are available on-line and delivered within a week of ordering and come with a guide book and map.
