Stop at a classified growth château. Depending on the day, you may stop at Ferrand, Côte de baleau, La Croizille, Balestard la Tonnelle.. Very satisfied with the service I chose with ‘À la Française’ to discover Saint-Emilion 🙂 The visit of the Château Balestard la Tonnelle very interesting (and very well commented) and the tasting of 3 Grand Cru wines (accompanied by a very nice tasting tray) perfect!
The visit to the beautiful little village of Saint-Emilion perfectly completed the package .. a big thank you to our very friendly THEO Guide for all his very lively and very interesting comments .. He was not stingy with his time to show us and explain as much as possible in the time allotted (he did not hesitate to extend beyond 👍👍). His passion for his region and for oenology made this afternoon of discovery really interesting and very pleasant 🤗
I would definitely recommend!

Excellent afternoon. Our tour guide, Theo, was very knowledgable about the region and also educated on wine production process. He clearly has a passion for the subject, studied it for years, but he did an excellent job of explaining the region and wine production to our group (we were all novices). We were able to visit 2 chateaus (one of the chateaus were visited was actually 2 smaller chateaus that were run by the same family), did 2 separate wine tastings, visited the town of St. Emilion before returning back to Bordeaux. Great experience and would recommend it to anyone interesting in learning about wine, the region with an excuse/ride from Bordeaux to visit the town of St. Emilion.

Daylight robbery, can’t explain how overpriced this is for what you get. We spent most of the time in the car. Got 4 tiny glasses of wine, didn’t even get to wine tasting for over 2.5 hours after travelling and then given a strict flying tour of St. Emilion (where we weren’t even allowed to stop to buy a bottle of water on a hot day). We were constantly rushed by the guide. The ‘snack’ is some cheese and bread that the guide brought with her in a backpack!!!! Totally outrageous. When looking at the costs of the Chateau tours and tastings directly with the Chateau it becomes clear this is scandalously overpriced with very very little value. Recommend doing yourself or booking with a more honest and reputable tour operator who isn’t just ripping you off.

We were really annoyed because on the website it didn’t allow you to pick which tour you wanted to go on (we wanted Saint emillion) and had paid nearly 90 pounds for this. However we got there on the day and the tour guide had assigned us to Medoc, we tried to explain that we had wanted the other area and weren’t allowed to pick online but they still said we had to go on the tour. Luckily the tour guide Remi was lovely and we ended up having a good time. But me and the people I was with were really upset and disheartened at not being able to view the region we had wanted to go. At the beginning it was really rushed and the guides seemed overwhelmed not that happy with the provider at all. We will try to get a refund or some kind of compensation for this incident.

We enjoyed a great trip to Sant Emilion with our friendly and knowledgeable guide, Fabian. The minibus was comfortable and thankfully air-conditioned. The wine-tasting at the chateau was entertaining and we learned a lot. We also enjoyed the walking tour around Saint Emilion.
Two minor suggestions for improvements: It would have been nice to relax on bar stools during the wine tasting rather than standing, as overall there was a lot of walking during the day. And an opportunity to buy wine at the chateau would have been appreciated too.
I'd recommend this trip to anybody interested in or even simply curious about wines. Although don't expect to be drinking a lot - the tasting includes four small glasses of wine.

mazing private tour (small group of 7 people) and a great wine tasting experience.
I took the Afternoon Saint Émilion WineTasting Trip (4.5 hours starting 2pm).
The tour guide Galaad was very informative and friendly, was genuinely nice and wanted to ensure everyone in the group is enjoying.
We started in the city centre and the guide took us in a van to Saint Émilion region with first stop at Château Côte de Baleau for some wine tasting with pairing cheese, sausage, and chocolate. Then we went for a walk around Saint Émilion town. Everything was lovely.

Our guide Kaio was great, but the tour did not match the description on the website. We did the half day tour at St-Emilion and went to a chateau and had the equivalent of 1 glass of wine. Afterwards we went to St-Emilion, walked around, and went to a wine cellar. Then the tour was over. The description said there would be another tasting, but we just went back to Bordeaux. In retrospect, it was disappointing - we should have purchased many many great bottles of wine and stayed at home.

We toured Medoc with Chloe, who we would highly recommend. She had a very good knowledge of the region's wines and provided lots of information. However we felt the tour overall was overpriced, we tasted a very small amount of wine and were give a very small amount of refreshments, given that the tour lasted for 5 hours. We thought the tour could have included more interactive activities, after seeing the existing reviews and the price, and a more immersive experience in the vineyards.

What’s the main difference between the two tours please?
Written 8 March 2025
We did the Margaux appellation and St Emilion.
The Margaux tour included 3 chateaus with wine tastings. Some had a charcuterie board some didn’t. The St Emilion tour included a trip into the town which I would highly recommend. Although we only went to 1 chateau for wine tasting it was an excellent experience. We learned how to “taste” wine in regards to the color, fragrance and notes that come out. It was very informative.
