What to expect
  • Your day trip from Strasbourg begins when you meet your guide aboard the awaiting minivan in the town center. Settle into air-conditioned comfort for the scenic drive. The first stop is the village of Colmar, where you’ll go on a walking tour with your guide. The town’s cobblestoned streets are lined with characteristic German-style half-timbered buildings, and you’ll even see some canals. See Colmar’s main sights, including Saint Martin’s Church and the 16th-century Pfister House, and wander historic neighborhoods like Little Venice. Your next stop is the picturesque town of Eguisheim, known for its Medieval buildings decorated with flowers, and then it’s on to Riquewihr. The charming town sits inside Medieval walls, and is a warren of meandering alleys and chocolate-box houses. Enjoy some time to explore the pretty town at your leisure, including time to have lunch (own expense). Continuing on your Alsace tour, the next point of interest is the 105-mile (170 km) Alsace Wine Route (Route des Vins d’Alsace). This scenic road curves gently through rolling hills and past acres of vineyards at the foot of the Vosges Mountains. Continue toward your final stop — Haut Koenigsbourg Castle (Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg). The castle dates from the 12th century, and you’ll have a chance to explore the inside — including where people once lived inside it — and find out how this powerful fortress used to control the salt, wheat and wine routes from northern and eastern Europe. Admire the excellent views from the castle’s hilltop vantage point before climbing back into the minivan for the drive back to Strasbourg at the starting point of the tour.

Great Customer Service!
Dec. 2020
Our initial tour was planned in May, for our Honeymoon, unfortunately this was cancelled due to corona virus. We rescheduled our trip to March 2021. We contacted Ophorus to re-arrange. Michelle was completely understanding and moved our booking, without any extra fees or hassle. She responded extremely quickly, for which we was most grateful. Unfortunately, our honeymoon was cancelled on us for a second time, so we reached out to Michelle again to ask for a refund. Once again, we received a very quick reply, which was great. I work for a small business so understand the importance of cash for small businesses, but once again there was no hassle, and our refund has been processed. I cannot be thankful enough. When the travel restrictions ease, we will certainly be re-booking with Ophorus, there customer service has been excellent. There has been no language barrier issues, the English has been excellent. I wish everyone who reads this review to book with Ophorus. Going by my experience so far they will not be disappointed. Many thanks to Ophorus from us during these difficult times. I wish you well.

Fantastic full day tour in Alsace
Dec. 2019
This day trip is entertaining, educational, and visually stunning. Every aspect of this experience was highly professional. Their staff is extremely responsive, helpful, respectful and courteous. Our tour guide, Arianne, arrived just before our scheduled pick up time, and her charm and knowledge were immediately apparent. She gave us a phenomenal tour, telling us not only about the beautiful villages of this picturesque region, but also about the culture, food, wine, and people of the area. She gave her commentary in flawless english. We absolutely loved her tour. The time allotted for the tour was appropriate, and we never once felt rushed, although we could easily have spent hours in each town, despite the December cold. Her recommendations for restaurant choices and use of free time were perfect. You'll be able to fill an entire album with the photos you take on this tour alone! The castle is a must-see, with stunning views of the countryside. Plan on a wonderful experience!

Great day out in Alsace
Nov. 2019
Florence was an amazing guide. She had a great pace of delivery in her interesting information (French and English), she never seemed to rush us anywhere, there was always time for photos and time built into the program for a coffee break and lunch. She really made the day very special. All three towns are amazing and so beautiful.

Excelente escolha
Oct. 2019
Recomendo!!

The tour itself is fantastic. You see beautiful landscapes and little towns that seems that came directly from fairy tales books. Better yet if you can choose Olivier as your guide.
He is not just a nice guy but also a very good story teller.
Better than all. He had worked as sommelier, so he can enlight you about not only the wine, but all spirits tipical of Alsace
