- hopeg2470 contributionsGo raibh maith agatWe loved this trip with Patrick and Paweł despite the torrential rain! Patrick is very knowledgeable and is clearly passionate about Irish history and his hometown. We loved his voice and think he should start a podcast. We highly recommend this tour, even in the fall or winter. You can’t can’t control the Irish weather, but you can control who you see it with. And props to Paweł for his expert driving on the narrow roads.Written 29 November 2024
- Madison M0 contributionsWonderful tour with Paddy and Pawel!I had a wonderful time on this trip! Paddy was a fantastic guide and Pawel was an excellent driver. We got very lucky to have such a clear day. There were plenty of great stops both on the way to and from the Cliffs, and the Cliffs themselves were amazing. I would highly recommend this excursion!Written 18 November 2024
- 803kathleenn0 contributionsIf you're in Galway, Must See: Connemara and Kylemore AbbeyThis day trip was the highlight of my visit to Ireland. The driver and guide, Mike, was a local farmer who was earning extra income to enlighten visitors about his home in the Galway/Connemara area. The tour bus was smaller so there were no more than 15 people. People either chose to visit Connemara National Park or Kylemore Abbey. The tour begins in the morning at 9:30 from downtown Galway and ends at about 6:00 p.m. at the same point. There are several photo stops before the first debarkation in Clifden. Mike enlightened us about the history of Connemara, its towns, and shared folklore. It is almost 2 hours to the first stop in Clifden, where restroom facilities, coffee, etc. are available. Then on to more photo stops and Connemara National Park. We arrived there around noon, and passengers visiting the park left. They had 3 hours to explore. It was another 10-15 minutes to Kylemore Abbey where the remaining passengers got off. I chose Kylemore Abbey and am so glad I did. We had 3 hours to tour the estate. Mike suggested how we could make the most of our time. He suggested starting with the Victorian walled gardens by using the shuttle bus. Because of the vastness of the estate, you could easily lose track of time and not see everything within the 3 hours. When you arrive at the gardens, you see the Connemara ponies and the cafe/restaurant. Darwyn was very kind to talk about their history and current uses on the estate. From there, you can go directly to the walled Victorian gardens or meander through the woodland path to enter them or just continue on the path and return. I visited in 1997 before the Victorian walled gardens were restored. They are a site to behold! Incredible effort to honor the design of the Henrys, while providing vegetables, fruits, herbs for the kitchen and their cooking. There is a greenhouse/conservatory, a fern woodland walk, and so much more. Then, I took the shuttle bus (which comes every 10-15 minutes) back to the entrance. It is a short walk to the abbey. The downstairs is open to visitors with a film introducing the history of the estate. They cleverly have guests traveling one way throughout the building to avoid bottlenecks. Upstairs, is for the Benedictine nuns and not available for visitation. The abbey is decorated in the period that it would have been during the Henry's time in the mid 19th century complete with full dinner service. When you're finished viewing the abbey, you're rewarded with gorgeous views of the lake. From there, you can visit the gothic church. It was being restored and I chose not to visit, instead going to the cafe and gift shop. I had just enough time to browse, have a cup of tea, and return to the assembly point by 4:00. We arrived back at 5:45 p.m. in Galway. It was a memorable day made all the more special by our guide Mike. Thank you!Written 15 November 2024
- Dreamer462281674630 contributionsA must do trip!We had a great trip with Mike as our tour guide for cliffs of Moher! When we made it up to the cliffs of Moher it was fairly dense fog so we missed the view from the top of the cliff but we still had a great time with the beautiful views we did see and Mike was a very fun and informational tour guide!Written 14 November 2024
- Passenger218883720150 contributionsLots of historyWe were underwhelmed by the Aran island that we visited but the Cliffs of Moher more than made up for it. Our driver Alan was amazing. He shared lots of history and stories. Thoroughly enjoyed our day.Written 12 November 2024
- joannesN8949JS0 contributionsExcellent TourWonderful experience. Michael, our guide, was knowledgeable with respect to history as well as the natural beauty of the area. The 3 hour stop at Kylemore was perfect, as was the lunch! All this, and a reasonable price, made this a memorable part of our trip to Ireland.Written 12 November 2024
- sallyrV2296PD0 contributionsGreat value, fun, and informationalThe value for this tour is amazing!! Our guide Paddy was information and very fun. I would absolutely take this same tour again!Written 6 November 2024
- arielg3620 contributionsExcellent Tour, Perfectly Timed Day TripI had such a fantastic time on this tour - Alan was an excellent tour guide, providing a lot of history and context to not only the sights, but the region in general. He had an excellent sense of humor, and all the stops we made were incredibly interesting (especially the chocolate factory, where I spent an ungodly amount of money). I really liked that the tour was so focused on local businesses and their importance to preserving their culture. The weather was a bit cloudy, but the castle and cliffs were still absolutely beautiful, and it was timed to make sure that everyone had time to really explore. I've recommended it to several other people traveling soon, and I definitely plan on doing another tour with them when I'm in the area next!Written 5 November 2024
- gregsoncraig0 contributionsPaddy and Pavel’s 5 Star Tour. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Paddy, our Tour Guide had an encyclopedic knowledge of Ireland. From Irish language and mythology to the history and geography of the Emerald Isle, no stone was left unturned. Our Driver Pavel, was safe and courteous throughout our comprehensive tour. Thank you both so much for the memories!Written 4 November 2024
- cloee9760 contributionsLovely speed run of connemaraThe trip was amazing though left with a hard choice between the abbey and the national park, we were very happy with our day at the park. Our guide/driver, Mike, was amazing and funny. He made the trip memorable. The only thing I wish was different was the amount of information on the day to help us decide which would be the better option.Written 3 November 2024
- cloee9760 contributionsBest Tour West IrelandBest guided tour I’ve been on in Europe thus far! Our guide, Paddy, and our driver, Pawel, made it so we had the most perfect tour. Paddy was a brilliant history buff and made the bus rides very entertaining. I learned so much more today than I thought I would ever learn about during my short time in beautiful Ireland. And the tour felt so personable with many stops and opportunities to see the most we could on our route.Written 1 November 2024
- Trip577692373390 contributionsGreat family trip!We went as group of 9 people and always stay together, the organisers make sure we sit together in the bus, on a ferry and hourse cart . Gerry , the bus driver / tour guide was very helpful and friendly. If you have any questions, he is happy to help you out. The tour itself is very informative, you will enjoy beautiful views of Burren landscape and Conemare., will meet nice and friendly people of Inisheer, warm and tasty lunch at Inisheer hotel top up with Irish coffee. We were blessed with the weather, no rain or wind in October month. Overall experience was excellent. We all enjoyed it and next year definitely will go back to explore other islands.Written 30 October 2024
- maissarab20220 contributionsAwesome day in Inisheer and the Cliffs of Moher with Jerry !We did the Cliffs of Moher + Aran Islands Day Tour with Jerry on October 29th 2024. Even though the weather wasn't great (very foggy and misty), we had a really nice time in Jerry’s company. He's a very sweet person, giving us tips and bits of information every step of the way, interspersed with jokes and a capella singing. Really nice to see the Cliffs of Moher from the ocean and then again from the top. Our 2 hours in Inisheer were also really great. The island is beautiful to visit whether by cycling, pony & trap or walking (which we did). Thank you Jerrry and Wild Atlantic Way Day Tours !Written 30 October 2024

Our group of five friends had a very pleasurable day traveling from the port of Galway to the beautiful Cliffs of Moher and several scenic stops in the county Clare Burren to view the rocky landscape with lovely natural flowers. Our driver tour guide Tony was a pleasure to travel with. He was informative and entertaining with a delightful sense of humor. Tony even went out of his way to deliver a bag accidently left in his vehicle back to the Galway port and gave it to the cruise line staff so it could be returned to the cruise ship before it departed. This was above and beyond expectations! I highly recommend Wild Atlantic Way Day Tours and tour driver guide Tony.

June 2024 • Friends
We were a group of five friends on a girls trip and chose to splurge on a private tour. Spoiler: so worth the money! Tom was a GREAT guide and Mother Nature was also on our side ☀️, though Tom mentioned he always has a back up plan for challenging weather days. We had terrific views of the countryside and we leisurely pulled over at all the key sites (he even entertained our one friend who insisted on getting out to interact with a roadside donkey :). Topped it off with the Cliffs of Moher - was a wonderful day.

We are a family of 5 (3 young adult children) staying in Galway. We had such a pleasant experience with Tom Walsh on the day that he took us to Cliffs of Mohr that we talked him into taking us on a second (unplanned) day trip to Connemara. It was a great decision. Tom has so much knowledge and behind the scenes information to share. Tom related well to both generations. We would highly recommend this tour group.

Great driver and guide, thanks Tom for a lovely private tour of Connemara, highly recommend it. Tom did his best to show us as many as possible, did not worry about driving on the narrow roads and just enjoyed the view.

Thank you Petra, for taking the time to review Toms tour. This was Toms first time on tour since lockdown and I knew he was just mad to get out there and show it all off.

Hello, what is considered a Class B vehicle? A sedan or van? Also, does the tour have to be 8 hours?
