A Great Tour with Our Amazing Guide, Daragh
We spent a little over 2 hours today learning about the complicated history of Ireland. Our guide was Daragh and he was the best tour guide I have ever had and I have taken many historical walking tours. The number of names and dates he had in his head was astounding. It was not only the amount of Irish history he knew but the way he organized it was very engaging. He definitely has a teacher's mind set yet I did not feel like I was in a classroom. He was also witty. Daragh also made sure he stopped to see if there were questions along the way. There were 4 in our group and we all agreed he was amazing. Thank you, Daragh, for teaching us so much about the history of your beautiful country.

    A must do!
Loved our guide - so much knowledge of the city, community & people. You will cover a lot of ground. Wear comfortable shoes & warm clothing if it’s winter. We had just finished another wonderful tour (fast track Book of Kells & Dublin Castle) & walked over at 3:00 to meet up w/our walking tour. This tour was convenient & easy to locate at Crown Alley. He answered all our questions & is a local. I think trip advisor had messed up my reservation- they had me on an earlier tour at 1:00, but my confirmation said 3:00 & he said ‘No problem, come along:)’ Always tip not expected but it’s greatly appreciated!

Fantastic tour, Darragh our tour guide was exceptional. A great balance between history and humour. Even as a local there was still a lot to learn, I would definitely recommend.

Out tour guide, COLM?, was informative and considerate in the face of bad weather and made the many years of conflicts in Ireland make sense.

Excellent two hour walking tour with a historic overview of Dublin.
This tour was recommended to us from one of the Rick Steves tour guides. She was booked, but she kindly recommended this to her. It did not disappoint. The tour guide was organized, interesting, and very friendly. We only had one touring day in Dublin, and this was a great start to our morning. We started at Trinity College it, and had a great overview of the history of beginning with the Vikings. Each building we stopped at had a moved the entire program along. Highly recommend this tour as a good overview of Dublin.

Owen (but I know I have the spelling wrong)- was incredibly knowledgeable and presented boatloads of history in an engaging and clear fashion. We enjoyed the tour immensely and learned so much. It really put so much of what we were seeing in context. Highly recommend

We received a full Irish history lesson that was told by our guide Daragh with such passion, that I would recommend this tour to anyone. He was both serious and funny with the information he shared and kept it all interesting. He also handled some over-served passerbyers very well were loudly trying to add to his commentary. He broadened my view of Ireland's history.

This was quite the best walking tour we’ve been on in a very long time. We always book a walking tour whilst visiting a city for the first time as it’s a great way to get your bearings, absorb many historical facts, see things that you might not necessarily notice with a guide book and get a bit of exercise too! Daragh (our guide) was just outstanding and his in-depth knowledge of the history of Ireland, and Dublin in particular, was quite remarkable. His passion and love for the city he grew up in was evident. He had a loud voice that projected well against the bustle of the city and his story telling was captivating - you hung on his every word. His pub recommendations were excellent too. Worth every penny.

This tour gave a fantastic overview of the history of Dublin from Vikings to the present day. If you want a way to be able to appreciate the city and begin to understand the complicated but interesting history then this is for you. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgable and was able to answer all our questions in detail, she was also really engaging and I could have listened all day - highly recommend!

Donal Fallon was an excellent tour guide and his presentation was so well done. He adapted beautifully to the wide variety of ages and walking abilities and his passion for the topic was immediately apparent. His quotations and anecdotes truly made the history come alive for all 11 of us (ages 16 to 73).

Sylvie did a phenomenal job teaching our group about the history of Dublin and Ireland while we maneuvered pedestrians and busy cars. Against the backdrop of historic landmarks, you’ll learn about how the Irish fought to become a republic, its relationship with England and the significance of the Gallic to the Irish people. Look no further for a informative tour interwoven with humor and personal anecdotes from a phenomenal guide.

We booked online and met our guide Daragh just across from the main gate at Trinity. He then conducted us on a tour spanning O'Connell Street, the GPO, Temple Bar, Dublin Castle and sights along the way.
Daragh was one of the best guides we've ever experienced, presenting a wealth of historical detail in a very clear and engaging delivery. We saw and learned much and greatly enjoyed the experience.
Highly recommended.

This tour was excellent. Eoin was very knowledgeable, very clear, and very energetic - qualities those don't always go together! He gave excellent explanations of a very complicated history - addressed to people who knew very little about Irish history, and people who knew a fair amount.

Honestly, I cannot think of a better walking tour I have ever been on. Eoin graciously stayed around after the tour to keep talking to some of us - about education, social issues, and Ukrainians in Ireland.

Our guide Eoin was just plain AWESOME. He had a talent for encapsulating over 1000 years of history of Ireland into 5 minutes of fascinating high points. His wry sense of humor mixed with historical facts caused two hours of time to fly by. We touched not only on the history of Dublin and Ireland, but geology, social norms, architecture, music, and a bit of biology ( bee keeping and flower planting)! We had limited time in Dublin and this tour laid the foundation for planning the remainder of our time. Highly recommend this tour ( and hope you always have an Eoin guide!).

We did this on our first day in Dublin, and it was a great way to get familiar with the city, both its layout and the history. Guide was very informative and knowledgeable. It was pouring rain during the tour, so be sure you've got wet-weather gear (and the guide could have done better about choose more shielded placed to stop and talk, but she's probably used to worse weather!) We would recommend this to anyone looking to learn a lot about Dublin in an engaging way!

It was an excellent tour and our guide Owen offered us an in depth insight of Irish and Dublin history. He was very eloquent and informative and answered all our questions. Moreover his intuitional charisma in storytelling made the more than two hours walk look very much shorter. We are very grateful and definitely recommend this activity thanks to Owen.
