Overview
Enjoy an 8-hour trip to get a flavor of the lush hills and glens in and around the world famous and mysterious Loch Ness. Experience tastes of this unique culture, history and landscape. The small-group tour will be in a comfortable, air-conditioned bus that seats up to 8 people. Relax with your professional, Scottish, kilted tour guide as they take you on a journey to Loch Ness, the Black Isle, Chanonry Point (Dolphins), Glen Ord Distillery, Culloden Battlefield and Clava Cairns.
Highlights
  • Discover the sweeping landscapes and scenic lochs of the Scottish Highlands
  • See Loch Ness, Culloden Battlefield, prehistoric monuments, and a distillery
  • Look for bottlenose dolphins at Chanonry Point
  • Make the most of your local guide on a tour with no more than eight people
What to Expect
Greet your kilt-clad guide and small group in central Inverness and hop aboard the climate-controlled minibus for the ride to Loch Ness. Here you just might catch sight of Scotland’s most famous resident—Nessie, the Loch Ness monster. Admire the medieval ruins of Urquhart Castle on the shores of the loch. Your next stop is the Glen Ord Distillery, where you might opt to sample some of the fine malt whisky crafted here. From here, head to Chanonry Point, where you’re likely to see some of the bottlenose dolphins that play in the Moray Firth. At Culloden Battlefield, a must for Outlander fans, learn the dark story of how the Jacobite rising ended. Then travel back in time to 4,000-year-old Clava Cairns, a Bronze Age cemetery. Your guide will drop you back where you began.

Our driver Billy was exceptional. Very knowledgeable in both history and that of Outlander which most members of the tour were interested in. Having been here for 15 days, this has been the most memorable day here in Scotland.

We don’t go into the visitor centre unless the weather is bad and no it’s not included in the price of the tour. Our guides give you a tour out on the battlefield. We don’t have time to do a full tour around the distillery... More

We can't guarantee the weather, but fog around Loch Ness and the places we visit on this tour is very rare. We only do the tour in daylight hours so you can still appreciate all the stops. We hope you book a tour with us
