Loch Ness, Glencoe, and the Highlands Small Group Day Trip from Glasgow
From USD 57.47
Take advantage of Glasgow’s close proximity to the Scottish Highlands on a hassle-free day trip to Loch Ness and the Cairngorms National Park. Ideal for history buffs and nature lovers, this guided tour transports you to historic battle sites and ancient castles, as well as reveals gorgeous natural landscapes. Plus, ample free time for optional tours and boat cruises allows you to tailor your itinerary according to personal preference.
What to Expect

This guided tour begins in central Glasgow. Board a coach destined for the Scottish Highlands, a land steeped in legend and beauty. Observe the banks of Loch Lomond, one of Scotland’s largest lochs, on the way to your first stop in Glencoe.

In Glencoe, take a scenic stroll and learn about the brutal massacre that occurred there in 1692. Continue your journey to Loch Ness via the Great Glen and Fort William.

On arrival at Loch Ness, enjoy free time to either wander the banks or take a cruise (own expense). After sufficient admiration, travel through Cairngorms National Parks and spend more leisure time in Pitlochry, a pretty Victorian town.

During the return journey to Glasgow, stop for photos of Stirling Castle and learn about the endeavors of William Wallace, whom the film Braveheart was based on.

Your tour concludes with drop-off at your original departure point in Glasgow.

Best way to see the Highlands in a day!

The driver was very knowledgeable and plays highland music, which adds to the experience. It's a very long time on the bus, but it's worth it if you have a limited time in Scotland and wish to visit the highlands. Travels as far north as...More

Hey, the whole tour is a day long, pickup from 8 and return to glasgow at about 8, in the begining you get a few stops, like after an hour or so. It's not straight from glasgow to lochness, there are 2 or 3 stops in between

we did stop at the Wallace monument and Sterling Castle, but did arrive very late in the day to the Castle so just made the car park as the castle doors were closed.
