  • Audio Guides are available for families and an audio descriptive tour for blind or partially-sighted visitors.
  • Eating and drinking aren't allowed inside the Palace, but refreshments are available in the Café at the Palace.
  • Toilets and baby-care facilities are located in the Mews Courtyard.
  • For safety reasons, pushchairs cannot be taken into the Palace. They need to be checked in at the entrance and collected at the end of your visit. Discover more tips for visiting with children.

Due to covid only advance bookings were taken but it meant there were no crowds and I had the place almost to myself. It is well worth a visit and there is a very good audio tour gadget which is included in the ticket price. There were guides in each room to who were on hand

The audio guide was very very interesting, informative and helpful. That paintings are absolutely stunning and so precious. This is a very good experience and one I would recommend to all other visitors to Edinburgh.

I really enjoyed my visit here and found it very interesting. I much preferred it over Edinburgh Castle. Social distancing measures were excellent and it was never crowded. An absolute must see when in Edinburgh.
