Indulge in the cultivated goodness of fine whisky on a 3-day small-group tour of Speyside. Wind through scenic Cairngorm National Park in Scotland’s main whisky-producing region to visit at least four renowned distilleries including Glenlivet and Dalwinnie. Enjoy tastings and travel by day, and comfortable B & B accommodation in Grantown by night.
What to Expect
Your 3-day adventure begins in Edinburgh, where you’ll meet your guide and small group of fellow whisky-lovers. You’ll set off in the morning by luxury van into the region of Speyside – home to more than 40 distilleries! Enjoy spectacular views as you travel along the River Spey through the Cairngorms National Park. See falls rushing through craggy ravines, stunning forests and picturesque lochs as you make your way to Grantown on Spey.

Situated along the 70-mile long Speyside malt whisky trail, the quaint highland village of Grantown will be your home base for the next two days. Your B&B accommodation is located in town, easy walking distance to restaurants, cafes and pubs for evening entertainment.

Over the next days, you’ll visit at least four renowned whisky distilleries including Dalwhinnie, Benromach, Cardhu and Glenlivet. Enjoy generous samples of choice whiskies and take optional tours of the historic warehouses stocked with aged casks. If time and group interest permit, your guide will happily make additional stops at some of the areas other distilleries. You’ll have the chance to purchase some of your favorite malts to take home at Gordon and MacPhail’s famous whisky shop in Elgin.

At the end of your trip, enjoy stunning views of the Cairngorm Mountains, Balmoral Castle and the village of Braemar as you head back to Edinburgh.
