- alanwI5785LJ0 contributionsAmazing museumAmazing museum and a must visit if you are interested in the titanic. With the history of the building of the mighty ship to the launch until the fateful night in April 1912. You are able to check names on their database who was on the Titanic.Written 12 January 2025
- A7470SVlynnm0 contributionsTitanic tripWe loved our visit to the museum. Lots of facts and stories to read through. Loved that it was interactive. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I realise we were there at a busy time. My only criticism is that it was so busy and very hard to get a chance to take in everything. So a second visit will be required.Written 12 January 2025
- Jshermanphoto0 contributionsHistoricVisiting the Titanic Belfast Museum was an unforgettable and deeply moving experience, earning a well-deserved five stars. This world-class museum is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Belfast, whether you’re a Titanic enthusiast, a history buff, or simply looking for a unique and captivating experience. From the moment you approach the museum, you are struck by its iconic architecture. The building itself is a masterpiece, designed to resemble the bow of the Titanic. Its sheer scale and modern elegance set the tone for what’s inside: a comprehensive and immersive journey through the story of the Titanic, from its conception to its tragic end. The museum’s exhibits are incredibly well-curated, offering a perfect blend of historical accuracy, emotional storytelling, and interactive elements. You start with the history of Belfast as a shipbuilding hub, learning about the city’s industrial heritage and the Harland & Wolff shipyard, where the Titanic was constructed. The attention to detail is incredible—you feel as though you’re stepping back in time to the early 20th century. One of the standout features is the ride through the shipyard, which gives you a sense of the monumental effort that went into building the Titanic. The life-size projections, sound effects, and narration bring this period to life in a way that’s both educational and engaging. As you progress through the museum, you encounter recreations of the ship’s luxurious interiors, including the First-Class cabins and the opulent Grand Staircase. These displays provide a vivid sense of what life was like aboard the Titanic, contrasting sharply with the stories of those who traveled in Third-Class. The section dedicated to the fateful voyage is incredibly poignant. Through personal stories, artifacts, and haunting audio recordings, the museum honors the passengers and crew in a respectful and moving way. The sinking is portrayed with a balance of sensitivity and historical accuracy that leaves a lasting impression. The final gallery is particularly striking. A massive floor-to-ceiling screen shows the Titanic lying on the ocean floor, accompanied by video footage from underwater expeditions. It’s both haunting and humbling, a reminder of the scale of the tragedy and the enduring fascination with the Titanic’s story. The museum also offers a range of interactive features, such as touch screens and virtual reality experiences, which make it accessible and engaging for visitors of all ages. Even the café and gift shop are thoughtfully designed, offering Titanic-themed items and delicious food in a serene setting. What truly sets the Titanic Belfast Museum apart is its ability to balance historical detail with emotional resonance. You leave with a deeper understanding of not just the ship, but also the human stories behind it—the triumphs, the heartbreak, and the enduring legacy. This museum is a true testament to Belfast’s history and the Titanic’s place in it. It’s a profoundly moving experience that I can’t recommend enough. Whether you have a full day to explore or just a few hours, the Titanic Belfast Museum is a landmark that deserves a spot on everyone’s itinerary.Written 8 January 2025
- awR8479AA0 contributionsAmazingWe went on the White Star Premium experience. At the beginning of the tour we had a guide called Peter and he was amazing. Funny, knew so much and made our experience memorable. I would definitely recommend it as a family outing. We will be back.Written 29 December 2024
- sallyaJ3061UL0 contributionsTruly unmissable experienceThere are not the words to describe how amazing this experience was. Frank must be the world’s best tour guide - his experiences and insight are compelling and captivating. We did the political tour - seeing both sides of the history of Belfast. I definitely recommend trying to get hold of his book as it complements the tour. Places I have heard about my whole life were brought alive in funny, sad, powerful, moving unbiased accounts from Franks own life. We travelled to Belfast from Dublin just to do this tour and we would absolutely do it all over again if we could.Written 28 December 2024
- angelaoZ7283RC0 contributionsTitanic shipyards tourWe (group of Mam's & Daughters) Did the Titanic shipyards tour which was done by the wonderful Sheila. She was amazing at presenting what could have been a boring trip into a fascinating story. A big Thankyou it was worth every pennyWritten 15 December 2024
- BrianB8110 contributionsHistoric Belfast TourOur Historic Belfast tour may not have been this particular tour but I will briefly share our tour. Belfast has a very interesting history and if you don't remember what was going on in the world in the late 1960s and early 1970s you should read up on it before you visit Belfast. We were also able to visit the Belfast Castle which is more a mansion but in the earlier years served as a governor's residence.Written 8 November 2024
- MATTHEW C0 contributionsTalk to the staff they’ll bring it to lifeExcellent, go there their us something for all ages. The boys particularly liked the gondola ride through the shipyard exhibition and the glass floor looking down on the wreck. But best of all were the staff hi took the time to tell them stories about the artifacts and bring them to life, especially Stella and the tale of the chickens. Thank you we’ll be backWritten 5 November 2024
- KFY8210 contributionsVery MovingThis museum has been very well thought out. I would suggest you get the accompanying audio tour as it will help walk you through the exhibit. Be sure to look at the wall of remembrance and look for your family names...I found two. Quite sobering.Written 24 October 2024
- Toni34520 contributionsShort tour but amazingPlease be aware of the museum's time schedule and it would be recommendable to book your tour in advance. We went there at 4 pm and despite it closes at 6 pm, we only got a short tour from 5 pm to 5,45, as the last possible chance. Notwithstanding, the experience was very good. It's shows you the complete story of the Titanic, from its building to its last rescue in 1987 ??. You start from the 6th floor and then you go down, progressively. Very interestingWritten 3 October 2024
- ZestforLife20 contributionsUnforgettableAn absolutely amazing, unforgettable experience. Very poignant and sad! Great Museum, you learn alot about how it all began, how the ship was built, the many men that built it and the people that worked on it……. Up until the discovery of the wreck of the ship on the sea bed and the artefacts recovered, including the violin played by the band up until the ship went down! Very moving! Cannot recommend highly enoughWritten 26 September 2024
- W9394PZmargaretb0 contributionsFantastic museumReally great museum. So many informative displays . Took us 3 hours to read everything. Delicious food and good service at reasonable prices in cafe. - mariatC691WJ0 contributionsMust do if you visit BelfastA must do if you visit belfast! Although a bit on the pricey side we throughly enjoyed our trip to the museum. Easy transport links from the city centre and great walking areas around the museum too.Written 1 September 2024
- Gillian1000 contributionsUnexpectedly interesting! Don't miss it.The building is stunning and we knew this was a "must see" when in Belfast. However, the idea of it really didn't interest us and we were so pleasantly surprised. The social history, the superb presentation of information and the scale and breadth of the story all make this one of our all time best visitor experiences. It is not really a museum, because it has a single focus - it's more of an unusual and enjoyable way of immersing yourself into the story of both the ship, the city, and late Victorian/Edwardian life. We highly recommend visiting.Written 31 August 2024
- O W0 contributionsGreat experience for all the familyWe thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the museum. The museum itself is beautiful and filled with a wealth of information. One of the highlights of the visit was a fascinating little ride that provided incredibly informative insights. I highly recommend paying a visit. Additionally, the museum boasts two cafes where visitors can indulge in a variety of offerings including coffee, cold sandwiches, and hot sandwiches.Written 28 August 2024

Frank is so passionate about his home land and so very knowledgeable. What a treat to have him as our guide. He is a true historian who loves his city and countryside. We were treated to inside knowledge of the area, saw Dunluce castle, a fairy tree, and Giant’s Causeway. The coast drive was spectacular. Lunch was amazing, a local place he and his wife go to. Now need to return to Belfast and have Frank show us his city
