      Don’t think, just do.
We did the Crumlin Gaol and Black Cab Tour package. Stevie was our driver and guide. We arrived early for our tour but Stevie was already there. We had a warm welcome from Stevie. The car was a Mercedes van. The car was warm, clean, and comfortable. Easy to get in and out of with the sliding door. Stevie is a knowledgeable guide. He expertly navigated to each stop and gave us the background before getting out of the van to view the stop. He took photos for us. Stevie encouraged us to ask questions. So ask anything. Stevie was open to answer any questions about the history and the conflicts. Without giving too much away or the spoilers, the tour was enlightening. This tour is worth your time. If you want to learn about Belfast, its history, and how the conflicts shaped the modern day Belfast, do this tour. Thank you Stevie for sharing your knowledge and experience with us.

      Experiencing the Troubles
Danny H. was a phenomenal tour guide, explaining the events and sights as we went along. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the history of The Troubles. I would highly recommend this tour - especially with Danny H. as a guide.

      Unbiased tour of Belfast Murals
Despite living in Northern Ireland there are parts of Belfast we have never visited as these would have been seen as “unsafe” areas when we were growing up during The Troubles. We recently did a tour with friends leaving from City Hall, visiting the areas of the Shankill and the Falls learning about some of the murals painted on the sides of buildings. We even had the chance to visit the international wall and write a message on the peace wall as Bill Clinton had done when he visited Belfast. Our guide “Tucker” gave us a great unbiased explanation of each of the murals we seen & was quite the character giving us plenty of laughs along the way. We would definitely recommend this tour as it is a great insight into the troubled past of N. Ireland from the people who lived in the areas which were affected the worst.

      Interesting for all ages
This is the 3rd time I’ve done this tour and there is always something new to learn! Our drivers Stevie and Tomas were very knowledgeable and added enough humour without being too cheesy! We had 9 family members on the tour ranging in age from 4 to 69. There was something for everyone. The jail was well worth the time to check out and the restaurant was amazing.

      Authentic tour about The Troubles
I can't imagine a tour being more authentic than this. Our driver/guide was more than happy to share both fact and personal experiences and opinions. We thoroughly enjoyed the time and even had a Gerry Adams sighting at the Sinn Fein offices! The gaol tour is worth the add-on - they have done a great job of explaining the history in an interesting manner.

      Brilliant Belfast Taxi Tour
Absolutely brilliant morning learning about the recent political history of Belfast. Got taken around Belfast by Steevie in a fabulous cab. He was really informative and engaging, told us about his experiences, and gave a really balanced view. I found the tour overwhelming and would definitely recommend their tours to others.

Highly recommend spending a morning with Cab Tours Belfast Danny H!
A very last minute booking to learn about The Troubles and visit Crumlin Road Gaol. Had an amazing morning with my tour guide Danny H, who was super knowledgable, a true gentleman, and good craic! Booking direct through Cab Tours Belfast ensured as a solo traveller that I also got the best price…and a whole cab tour to myself. Perfect for solo travellers.

Cab tour is a can’t miss!
This was an incredible tour showcasing this city’s history. Danny L (cab driver) was friendly and personable and went above and beyond. Very knowledgeable on the facts and history of the city he was born and raised in. Felt extra special to be with someone so close to The Troubles. The prison tour was also very interesting and informative,

Amazing experience. Must do in Belfast. A great way to learn the history and see a side of the city that is often missed, if only visiting. Danny L is the man! Great guide, great trip, will recommend to any that will listen!

      Amazing, a must for Belfast
The Crum was an amazing experience, please leave yourself 3 hours, extremely well put together, very interesting and interactive. The black cab tour, wow what can I say, absolutely amazing, our guide was fantastic very knowledgeable and unbiased. We really felt it's the first time we understood what the troubles actually were in Ireland and how living with it is still effecting everyone to this day. Well worth every penny. Our guide was Tomas. He was extremely personable. He asked us lots of questions to be able to determine what our understanding were. Lovely, lovely man and so very interesting. Thank you so much food for thought, we have all been watching documentaries since we have got home and that just shows how thought provoking the tour was.

Black cab tour of Belfast murals
Thoroughly recommend this trip. So much better than walking! Our driver Danny L was very well informed of the history of the troubles and what it was like to live in Belfast at this time. Tragic though it was he still managed to raise the mood with his jokes and anecdotes.

Just got back from an amazing tour with Cab Tours Belfast.. We had Pody as a tour guide and what an excellent and informative man. The tour was meant to last around 1.5 hours but it easily spread over as we asked so many questions and he gave us a wealth of information on other subjects. Originally, we looked to do a walking tour but it was cancelled due to the pandemic, and in a way we are extremely glad as this tour involves a little walking and driving through what were crucial areas during the troubles. I really would recommend this to anyone as it is definitely no rush and it's information you should know about people who have faced issues in this country. Very informative and things that I will pass on to others. The tour is completely unbiased, not sure about other operators but Pody was great from start to finish and didn't reveal where he was from until the very end. Absolutely lovely person and very kind to us.

We considered ourselves quite well versed in the history of the areas but we still learned so much throughout. Danny was an excellent guide who delivered on his promise to give a balanced account on what has happened and what is still happening in this part of the world.

If you find yourself in Belfast and have any interest in getting to know your surroundings then this tour is the must do activity. 35 quid for 90 minutes of history with such a knowledgeable tour guide is great value for money.

Danny was our tour guide, and he was excellent. He asked us how much we knew of the troubles, and how much we wanted to know (as some details can be quite harrowing), so he could give a tailored tour to suit. Danny asked at every stop if we wanted to get out and gave a wee walk around, or the option not to, and he had plenty of newspaper articles to further explain the background of the places we visited. We also got the chance to write on the peace wall, and he was happy to take photos for us, too. The taxi tour is a highly recommended thing to do when in this city, and both the wife & I thoroughly recommend this one

We've just left our cab tour of Belfast with our driver, Pody, and couldn't be happier with the experience.

An impartial view of both sides of the divide in Belfast from someone who lives here. Pody was great, stopped and took us walking on both sides, explained the finer details of the murals and the historical sites that someone not from Belfast wouldn't know and he had a great sense of humour as well.

Pody explained that Cab Tours Belfast is a mixed tour company with equal numbers of Catholics and Protestants so you get probably as impartial a tour as you could get.

Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a tour of Belfast about the history of the troubles.

This tour is a real eye opener. Being a Catholic from the south I was very weary going into Shankill but our driver made us feel very safe from the start. John, our driver was so friendly and his knowledge was amazing. He didn't rush us at all and allowed us to get out and take plenty of photos. I recommend this tour to everyone and if you are lucky enough to get John you'll come away smiling. YNWA 😜

I booked a two hour (approx) black cab tour of Belfast around the Shankhill Road/Falls Road which was quite simply informative and interesting. The driver (Marty) was quite unbiased about things that had happened in the time of the Troubles. We drove around the respective areas and viewed the 'peace wall', Murals on both sides and other notable sites en route. There was no heated emotion, just fact based discussion from a man who lived and grew up in this area in the troubled 70s/80s. I left with a sense of newly informed respect for the NI peoples and optimism for the future as there does appear to be a change for peace and acceptance in what is one of the friendliest countries/cities that i have ever visited. I grew up in Central Scotland watching the 'Troubles' on the news and never understood it, this tour helped to scratch the surface a bit more. I would recommend to read a little on the historical contexts before visiting Belfast which can only help understanding. I hope that it continues to improve for everyone in Northern Ireland. Recommended.

We booked the cab tour on a recommendation from our hotel to fill the time on our last day before heading to the airport.
We were so glad we took the advice.
Our tour guide, Isaac was the most friendly, knowledgeable and funny guy who gave us a completely unbiased history of Belfast and the conflicts between Catholics and protestants.
We would recommend the tour to anyone who is fortunate enough to visit such an amazing, friendly city.
Thank you Isaac for a brilliant tour yesterday. maybe we will see you again sometime! 👍
