Overview
Belfast is known for its heritage and landmarks, but gaining intimate insight can be difficult on a self-led tour. Discover the city with a local, and learn about its history and culture as you visit locations including Waterfront Hall, St Anne’s Cathedral, and Belfast City Hall. Benefit from the more personalized experience of a small-group tour, and receive a 10% discount in a local gift shop.
What to Expect
After discovering city hall and hearing a description of where Belfast came from and getting a background of how the period known as the troubles are apart off and entwined in the birth of Belfast.
We'll discover some of the Belfast buildings along the way that make the city such a beautiful and unique space. And hear of the colorful history that has shaped this part of the Island of Ireland over thousands of years. You'll also hear of some of the Belfast famous people and of things invented here.
You'll pass along the river Lagan, look out to Sea/See the area now known as the Titanic Quarter and discover the Waterfront hall. We'll then discover the area of  Belfast where it was bestowed the honor of city, and continue on through the birthplace of Belfast to St. Anne's Cathedral in the Cathedral Quarter. (Passing by the Albert Clock Tower (Belfasts leaning tower), built on the docking point of Queen Victoria on her  first visit here).
And it's in the Cathedral area we'll view the street art and murals and hear of how Belfast and it's people are coming together to reconcile and build a brighter space for all, through it's many free festivals, creative organisations, and new industries.
Finishing the tour in St. Anne's Sq. having heard of the efforts to keep St. Anne's Cathedral Standing. Then after a 15 minute break those who would like to continue. On a further 1 hour walking tour to see re-imaged Street art and the political murals on the Shankhill and Falls road can continue there. Finishing in the Crown Liquor Saloon.

We

We found Marti informative and amusing. He took us to all sorts of interesting places. The weather was far from perfect however this didn’t impact in an major way with the tour. We finished with a Guinness in the Crown.
