The tour route is encompassing of the city with many of highlights for most tourists. The guide was informative, but lie others said, the speakers were malfunctioning or not clearly broadcasting the guide's words. Better sound needed for the top deck. It is best to pre-pay for tickets. Buying them before boarding will cost an additional $5 based on current exchange rate.

This came recommended to us from friends and we were really glad we chose to do it.
If you're planning to hop-on at somewhere other than the start at City Hall, buy your tickets online / in advance or make sure you have the right money in cash, as the buses don't have card payment systems.

We got on at Eglantine Avenue as it was near our Airbnb, and within minutes Paul was strumming his guitar and we were all singing The Irish Rover and other songs as we drove through a less interesting part of the city between The University and the Falls Road. That was worth the ticket price alone!

As we rode two different buses we had two different guides. Paul was very funny and engaging, while Allen (who was also driving the bus!) perhaps less so, but he told us a lot more detail about the Troubles that we didn't get from Paul, so I wouldn't worry about going over parts of the route more than once.

The tour doesn't hide from the Troubles, and both sides are presented very even-handedly in an apolitical way. It was sobering and informative, and seeing the 'peace gates' that are still in use, and driving through nieghbourhoods up close really helped get a better understanding of the city.

This is a hop on hop off tour bus.
They do have open top buses but it was wet, windy and freezing cold so inside it was.
Each tour guide was so well up on everything and answered questions with ease.
Lasting about 1.1/2hr £12.50 per person for the day was well worth the money.
Get off at designated stops and back on at any bus stop, brilliant.
Takes you round all the six quarters (don’t ask, it’s an Irish thing) taking in all the sights.
Couldn’t fault the service.
Thank you Belfast City Sightseeing.

Hi 534lorraines Many thanks for taking the time to review your experience with us. It's great to hear that you enjoyed the tour and would recommend us to other visitors. You are always assured of receiving the best tour by travelling with us as we are the only city tour company in Belfast to hold a quality accreditation from the Tourist Board and with the largest fleet of tour vehicles, we also offer the most frequent service which means less waiting time for you at the stops. As a locally operated company, we also have global connections which means that you can take advantage of discounts in the next city you travel to. When you travel with CitySightseeing you can also receive discounts to all the major attractions in the city and purchase the Titanic Belfast Combo ticket only available exclusively through our company. I will ensure that the team in Belfast are aware of your positive review and we look forward to seeing you again when you return to the city. Thank you

Very bad customer experienced from local City Sightseeing reps in Belfast before we boarded. I tried to pay with my family, young kids and my mum and the rep would not let me pay, instead he made me wait even though he knew I was here 40 minutes earlier. I had to queue with another person and when I asked the reason they gave me a ridiculous excuse about not being wanting too much sales?!?! Shocking customer service, they don’t care for customers.
I have used City Sightseeing company before in other cities and have never received such shocking discriminatory experience until now.
I would strongly suggest not take to City Sightseeing in Belfast and instead take another hop on hop off bus service. If I could give zero rating I would.

Booked a 10:00 tour, arrived at 09:40 and still no bus by 10:05 so I called the office. Only then they informed us that there was a reduced service starting from 11:00 and then at 10:13 I received an email explaining such, which would have been helpful prior to the original time of 10:00. At 11:00 we board the bus to find that the “provided compulsory face masks” actually came with a cash only charge. The tour skipped a whole section, stops 6,7,8 & 9 (the Stormont end) and when we asked about it they just said it’s a reduced service because of COVID and it’s all on the website which we then checked. Guess what, it’s not mentioned anywhere. It’s also advertised as a 90 minute tour which of course we barely got 60 minutes because of it being cut short. We immediately went on to the website and used their contact us form explaining all of the above and have received no response until we received a generic email saying “thanks“ and “please write a review, so here it is. Go with a different company or better still go on their website and follow their itinerary and use google because the tour was all pre-recorded with no personality despite their being a tour guide on board who we didn’t hear from once. We genuinely spoke politely and positively with the driver who was clearly, although politely, being abrupt and unhelpful. O and yes we did pay the full price, don’t waste your money.

If you are using this as a means of transport to go between the few tourist attractions; titanic and the gaol then it’s a great way to get to them all and also see a few sights along the way. If you have already done these attractions before the bus tour as we had, as we felt it would take away from being able to spend the whole day on the bus and get our money’s worth. It really isn’t worth it, the sights they take you tool aren’t worth getting off at to go and explore and most can have pictures taken from the bus. Also, no headphones are no provided as previously have done with city sightseeing so hard to hear interesting facts with traffic noise.

Tour guide was very nice and made plenty of jokes but they were very much jokes that you would not understand if you weren't from Northern Ireland.

There was no social distancing at all on the bus which should still have been in place due to the current guidelines.

The tour itself was disappointing and not worth £15 I Went with my mum, we are both from Belfast and I have done the tour a few years ago and it was much more enjoyable, my mum who looked forward to the tour based on what I had told her previous and wanted to see more of Belfast was also left very disappointed.

The tour bus used to stop at stormount and the Zoo and near belfast castle and it didn't do it on this occasion and can't understand why these stops are now missed especially stormount as an important place in Belfast as a parliment building.

Wasn't clear where tourists should get off and on and wasnt really made clear always on what you were looking at.

It also goes through student accomodation areas that look very unappealing and not somewhere you'd really want tourists to see.

For tourists who won't know Belfast its informative but focused a lot on the troubles and not necessarily about the history of Belfast and for more local people it definitely does not feel worth paying £15 for. Tourists would be better buying a translink bus day tickets for £3.00, doing their own research and getting on different buses around belfast to get to the places the tour stops at.

Hi T4738ETgemmab Many thanks for taking the time to review your city tour with us. We appreciate you giving us the opportunity of responding to your concerns. We have adhered to all covid guidelines relating to transport but as a tour company were never issued with guidlines associated bus tours. We provide sanitiser for staff and passengers, recommend face masks and wipe down all touch points between tours. We are also part of the Northern Ireland Tourist Board's "Good to Go" covid accreditation. Our bus route has never gone to Belfast Castle or Belfast Zoo and we have suspended the Stormont stop as Parliament Buildings was closed to the general public. Regarding student areas, the tour leaves the city centre and travels along the main arterial road of University Road to stop at Queens University, Botanic Gardens and Ulster Museum. There is no other way of getting to that stop. Thanks again

We allowed 2 hours for the tour before we planned to leave Belfast as reviews suggested it lasted approx 90 mins .
We boarded the bus at stop 5 ( opposite Titanic experience) and we’re lucky enough to get 2 seats upstairs. The tour guide was excellent, very informative with the facts and a great sense of humour-chipping in with some funny anecdotes.
The tour went really well until we got back to stop 1 . We had not been told that we all had to vacate the bus at this point and queue to get back on again??? On getting off the bus we were asked to get to the back of a extremely long queue ( in excess of the capacity of the bus) . On speaking to the tour guide we were advised that we’d have to wait for another bus as the queue was so long !
We did not have the time to do this and ended up getting a taxi back to our original boarding point and therefore missed the section of the tour from stops 1-5 . Our experience proved that it wasn’t just hop on/hop off as and where you wanted which we were lead to believe it was . I’m just thankful we boarded at stop 5 because those who joined the tour later than us would have experienced even less before we were chucked off the bus to queue again !!
I would have rated the tour 4 or 5 for the experience we had if we had been able to stay on the bus as we’ve been able to on other city tours .
I would appreciate some feedback from the tour company regarding this .

on the whole it was a good experience apart from a few hiccups. We sat upstairs and could not hear the commentary. As a result we did not know we had to ding the bell to stop and we missed the Info Centre on the Shankhill Road. Had to walk from the Crumlin Jail which proved difficult owing to mobility problems. No info in the information centre! As we bought a two day ticket we went to the Titanic experience the following day Returning we stood at a bus stop opp the Centre and then had to ring the city sightseeing office to be told that we were at the wrong bus stop! Very cold - had to return on the public bus to the City Hall. We had missed the last bus apparently. In future we will just get a public bus to where we want to go.

Hi 303IreneP Many thanks for taking the time to review your city tour with us. I am glad to hear that you had an overall good experience. We do offer headphones to those that find it hard to hear the commentary through the speakers so always raise any concerns you have with the staff on the day. Regarding standing on the wrong side of the road, we always recommend that you return to the same stop that you alighted from the bus. Thank you

We changed tour at around 2pm Today into the city sightseeing bus and on first impressions was impressed with the guides knowledge and humour some parts of the tour were not expanded on fully which did let it down. We had been round once already had got some alternative information.
Getting the bus to stop at designated stops was impossible on the 4pm tour which had no guide it was recorded commentary, we followed the rules remaining seated pressing the bell but we ended up leaving 3 stops after our chosen destination.
I find the shameless asking for tips rude as I’m happy to tip for good service.
