Tour of the Cotswolds from Stratford-upon-Avon

Overview
Unless you rent a car, exploring the Cotswolds can mean juggling numerous bus and train timetables. Aimed specifically at first-time visitors with limited time, this small-group tour from Stratford-upon-Avon covers must-sees in a day and with a guide for background. Visit Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Camden, Bibury, and more; enjoy free time at most stops; and just soak in the scenery in between. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included for convenience.
What to Expect
Depart your Stratford hotel, or Stratford or Leamington Spa railway station by minivan bound for the Cotswolds.

Stop first at Dover’s Hill to admire gorgeous panoramas and then continue to Chipping Campden. After free time to enjoy this historical market town, stop to admire views from the castle-like Broadway Tower and pass through a “mystery” village—often missed by visitors—en route to Stow-on-the-Wold.

Explore or have lunch (own expense) at this delightful town, as you wish, before heading to Bibury, once dubbed England’s “most beautiful village” by poet William Morris. See Bibury’s Arlington Row, arguably Cotswold’s prettiest row of cottages, and then trace country lanes to Bourton-on-the-Water.

Learn about this exquisite riverside village, famous for its low bridges, before enjoying free time to stroll and shop for mementos of your day.

Your tour then concludes at your original starting point.

There are pick-up points in Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon and Moreton-in-Marsh - all are locations outside of London but easily accessible by train.
