After taking two American couples on a birdwatching holiday around Somerset my clients wanted a more general guided tour of Bath with an expert guide on the city. Boy we hit the jackpot with Jim from Bath Walking Tours. Jim quickly got the level of information exactly right for the group mixing history humour and personal anecdotes as we walked for two hours around the beautiful city. It was a cold afternoon however Jim knew where we could warm our hands and where loos were if required (they were!) I cannot recommend Bath Walking Tours highly enough. We loved the two-hour, volunteer-led, walking tour of Bath with James, even though we had to drop off a bit early to make our tea at the pump room. James is very knowledgeable about all things Bath, and a very fast walker. He also inserted lots of humor along the way. Highly recommended.

This was an excellent enjoyable and informative tour led by Julia who was the perfect guide for our small group. It was a great way to see the main attractions of the city, learn about its history and pick up some tips for exploring on one's own later. Julia was interesting and entertaining and kept us all engaged. We loved it.

Our guide Julia was great, very knowledgeable, personable and happy to answer questions. In fact we over-ran a little. I visit Bath at least once a year but have never done a tour before. I learned a lot and saw parts I hadn't visited before. Now I have more things to do on my next visit.

Only had 1 full day in Bath. The walking tour with Owen was excellent. Very informative, educational as well as fun 😁 We were both delighted with our choice of tour.

James starts the tour by talking about Bath’s Celtic and Roman origins, but most of the tour is all about the Georgian period relative to most of Baths architecture. James throws in lots of fun anecdotes about the people who influenced and made Bath what it is. He also adds lots of references to period Hollywood and TV sets around Bath and lots of other interesting facts. Very interesting - We really enjoyed it.

We had a great tour with Owen. He was informative as well as entertaining. He moved along at a fairly quick pace which allowed us to see a lot yet also learn a lot. I would highly recommend the tour and Owen.

What a wonderful way to explore this beautiful city. Our guide Tony was informative and engaging. We moved between the the older parts of the city starting at the Abbey and moving up to the younger Georgian area walking up to The Circus and The Royal Crescent. He answered many questions and clearly loves this beautiful City. Thank you Tony.

Andy, our tour guide, was excellent. He was very informative about giving us the history of Bath from ancient times to present. If you have only one day in Bath I suggest this tour to get a good overview of the important sites. Although it is not customary I was so happy to give him a tip for doing such a good job.
