- H3849ZDgraemem0 contributionsOur guide Jim was excellent and I cannot recommend Bath Walking Tours highly enough. After taking two American couples on a birdwatching holiday around Somerset my clients wanted a more general guided tour of Bath with an expert guide on the city. Boy we hit the jackpot with Jim from Bath Walking Tours. Jim quickly got the level of information exactly right for the group mixing history humour and personal anecdotes as we walked for two hours around the beautiful city. It was a cold afternoon however Jim knew where we could warm our hands and where loos were if required (they were!) I cannot recommend Bath Walking Tours highly enough. James is very knowledgeable about all things Bath, and a very fast walker. He also inserted lots of humor along the way. Highly recommended.Written 3 January 2025
- annalynn819b0 contributionsFabulous Bath Walking TourOur walking tour with Jim from Bath Walking Tours was the highlight of our time in this beautiful city. As a Bath local and Blue Badge guide, his knowledge is limitless and he seamlessly switched from Roman history to Jane Austin references to Bridgerton filming locations. We were thrilled and enthralled. I cannot imagine that there is a better tour option in Bath. They are the best!Written 28 December 2024

- juliepaulandecho0 contributionsExceptional Private Tour with Jim – A Must-Do in Bath!If you’re visiting Bath and want an unforgettable experience, book a tour with Jim! Our private tour with him was nothing short of amazing. He’s incredibly personable, weaving fascinating stories and facts into every stop we made. Jim struck the perfect balance in pace for our group of four, ensuring we never felt rushed while covering so much ground. From the city’s rich history to its role in filming Bridgerton, from wartime stories to stunning architecture, he brought it all to life with incredible detail. Not only did Jim share fantastic restaurant recommendations, but he also pointed out the best photo spots and even knew all the hidden toilets (a lifesaver!). This tour was a highlight of our trip, and Jim is truly a gem. If you want to experience Bath like an insider, he’s your guy. Highly recommend! It was a great way to see the main attractions of the city, learn about its history and pick up some tips for exploring on one's own later. - Craig M0 contributionsFascinating and good humoured tourJames starts the tour by talking about Bath’s Celtic and Roman origins, but most of the tour is all about the Georgian period relative to most of Baths architecture. James throws in lots of fun anecdotes about the people who influenced and made Bath what it is. He also adds lots of references to period Hollywood and TV sets around Bath and lots of other interesting facts. Very interesting - We really enjoyed it.Written 16 October 2024

If you have only one day in Bath I suggest this tour to get a good overview of the important sites. Andy was our guide. He was punctual and easy to find at the meeting point. Obviously very knowledgeable he was also a very good story teller and I appreciated that he mixed the film-making information of the tour with just the right amount of history. He kept the small group of 5 engaged, participated in small talk between sights, walked at a pace that was suitable for the ability of the group, had excellent photo props and was always safety conscious when crossing streets. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, especially since Andy did not lecture but made me feel like he was showing a group of friends around his town. He went over our allotted 2 hours to the delight of our group. The fee for this tour could be higher so it was a great value. Highly recommend!

We did the 11:00 tour on Monday 8th August and we throughly enjoyed the whole experience. Our tour guide was fantastic; he provided just the right mix of the history of Bath, filming locations in general and productions shot in Bath as well as the main focus of the tour - the Bridgerton locations. On seeing the tour advertised we initially though it would probably just be a ‘normal’ tour of Bath with a few key locations added in to tick the Bridgerton box but this was not the case at all - our guide was either a huge fan himself or had really done his homework - he knew the characters, could talk about the context of the storyline in each location and the significance of that particular part to the whole story arc, even which series and episode that location featured in!
It was a very hot day and not only was he focused on delivering a great tour but was generally aware of the wellbeing of the people on the tour at all times, ensuring that we stopped in the shade and that everyone was ok. It really was a great way to spend 2 hours and I would absolutely recommend it to other Bridgerton fans.

We went to Bath for the first time ever last week and we were not planning of doing any tour. But when we saw the Walking Tour of Bridgerton Filming Locations we immediately decided to try it. You don’t really have to be a huge fan of the series to appreciate the amazing experience. Our guide Fred managed to show us the main attractions of the city in just 2 hours, perfectly explaining how and where the tv series was shot, connecting that with some historical and literary background. And he was always so willing to answer our questions with enthusiasm.
If you have never visited Bath before, this is a great opportunity to do it in a very original way!

So pleased that you joined our Bridgerton tour with Blue Badge Tourist Guide, Fred Mawer. Thank you also for such a generous review of the experience.
These are recently developed tours and it's great to get such positive feedback. Bath features quite prominently in Bridgerton (as a proxy for London) and as you say the tour takes in many of the main attractions of the city. Hope you'll come back soon and enjoy one of our general tours.

Amazing! Andy was a brilliant tour guide and very informative, had such a wide variety of knowledge. 100% recommend for someone who is a bridgerton fan or someone just wanting to see the sights! We even ended up on the BBC as they were filming (very exciting). The value for money is second to none and takes you to all the gems of the city. If I went to bath I would go back again on this tour, brilliant.

We loved our Bridgerton film location tour and Phil, our knowledgeable and friendly guide, brought the locations to life. He shared details about the filming that he and his fellow guides had seen take place, which made the tour personal and memorable.
The small size of the group made walking around Bath very enjoyable and made it easier to ask questions if we wanted to. Phil also provided historical information on Bath, so whilst this tour focuses on the filming locations, it also provides an overview of the key moments of the history of Bath.
My husband and son (aged 16) preferred to go on the general walking tour, and as it set off at a similar time as the Bridgerton tour, they went on that tour whilst my daughter (aged 20) and I joined the Bridgerton tour, so it worked out perfectly for us.
I strongly recommend Blue Badge Guide Tours and would suggest booking one for the first day of a visit to Bath.

Many thanks for finding time to leave this very generous review of your time on our Bridgerton tour.
Future visitors find it so helpful when they are making their choices. Bath was the perfect location for the filming of the Netflix's first series of Bridgerton and we have our fingers crossed that they will return for the next one. Phil's tour are always enjoyable and we're glad your tour was a success.

Fantastic, and would highly recommend to anyone interested in film production, even if you haven't seen Bridgerton. Our guide was lovely and highly knowledgeable on a wealth of subject matters, from the film locations through to many other historical facts about Bath. A great way to orientate ourselves within the city, learn about it and we even ran over time because we were having such fun nattering away!

So glad you enjoyed our Bridgerton tour. The city was a really hive of activity during the filming and it certainly showed the best of Bath. They have been filming some of the second series here this month. The contrast between Regency London and Bath is great to explore and to do it while walking around the city is an amazing Bath experience.

An all round great experience. Phil (the tour guide) made the tour a brilliant experience by informing us about the history of Bath but in the context of Bridgerton as well as showing us multiple filming locations. He even went over the time limit to take us over to the location of Jane Austen's house, knowing that we were big fans. Would recommend if you are a Bridgerton lover looking for a tour of Bath!

Our Bridgerton tours are new for this season and Phil has really taken them to heart. The contrast between the London Ton and Bath society is so interesting. Couple that with the spectacular Netflix series and you have the ingredients for a great tour. So pleased you enjoyed it and thanks for taking time to leave a review.

Lots of enthusiasm from the tour guide on this tour, and they also show you photos of Bridgerton scenes whilst walking around, so you can see how they've adjusted shop fronts and streets. Unfortunately this tour went on for 2 hours and 35 minutes before we had to duck out due to needing the bathroom and being knackered from walking around. Not sure how much longer it would have been past this!

Hi Gemma. Many thanks for finding time to review your tour and your feedback on time keeping. Many apologies for running late, not something we normally do.
Bridgerton was a great event for the city and provides the opportunity to get to know the locations and contrast the London Ton with the Bath scene in the Regency period.
Best regards Jim

There are a few Bridgerton tours in Bath - this one I found to be excellent. Phil was my guide and he was informative, interesting and very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this tour - you will see all the Bridgerton film locations (and more) and you will hear fascinating stories along the way. Highly recommended.

Many thanks for your recommendation and generous appreciation of our guide, Phil. Bridgerton provides a brilliant vehicle for us to compare the norms of Georgian Bath with the society portrayed by Bridgerton. Our research has uncovered some fascinating stories and we love sharing them. Hope to see you on one of our other tours some time.
