If you are the type of person that is hesitant to book guided tours (like me), do not be fooled - this is a lively and groovy trip like you’ve never experienced before!
Our group was lucky enough to have Al as our guide, and from the moment he engaged us I knew that we were in for a treat.
In addition to having an insane musical history knowledge (and some unreal personal stories!) Al made sure to cater to everyone in our group and was more than proficient at making sure that we never went too long without a tasty libation in our hands. :)
This was hands down our favorite planned activity during our short visit in London. Music and pubs on a tour that is much more like hanging with your best mates than an information session… just the best.
100/100 recommend!!

Jack McGill was our tour guide and we had a BLAST. This was our first adventure in London and it was a great way to kick things off. Jack was punctual, energetic, and theatrical and added great personal and historic anecdotes to really give the tour an authentic and comfortable vibe. We loved all of the pubs we dropped into and felt Jack kept the excitement growing as we moved along. You buy your own pints but you can order half pints so there is no rush to drink a full one at each stop (you don't have to drink anything at all - it's totally up to you!).
There were some great stops along the way that related to local theatre, rock and roll, and general London history. We were looking for a Beatles tour but this satisfied that with some cool facts about the group and one stop that was WAY cool.
Jack did a great job keeping the crowd engaged and catering to each group accordingly. Would definitely recommend it if you have a few hours to explore SoHo!

We had an amazing time with our tour guide Sy Thomas as we walked around SoHo as he is gave us so much great information about the history of the city as well as the rich music history that soho is known for! Taking our time at each pub and really soaking in the stories and laughs that we had along the way made this feel less like a tour and more of just hanging out with friends and it was a very welcomed and relaxed experience. Sy, thank you so much for the wonderful memories you helped create and we can’t wait to see you again soon!

We have been to London multiple times but never to Soho and have rarely had such a great tour experience. This tour brought together a mixture of Music and Pub history which was presented by Danny in a unique and engaging manner. We visited 4 pubs and other stops on the way that tied together London’s musical history from Mozart to the present day. Danny told stories of the people and places that made Soho such an amazing place to visit in London for hundreds of years. He also connected unique ales, beer as well as other drinks with the pubs we visited. The tour was well worth the money and left us with an appreciation for Soho that made us want to return over and over. Thanks, The Foti Family!

We had an amazing time on the SoHo Music & Historic Pubs tour, and it was all thanks to our fantastic guide, Danny Boy! From the moment we started, he brought so much energy and enthusiasm to the experience. His storytelling was top-notch, blending fascinating history with fun anecdotes that had the whole group engaged.
Danny Boy had a way of making everyone feel welcome, and by the end of the tour, it felt like we’d all become friends. He clearly knows his stuff—his passion for the music and history of the area really shined through in every stop we made.
If you’re looking for a lively, entertaining, and informative tour with a guide who knows how to bring history to life, this is it! Highly recommend this experience. Five stars all the way!

I have been on several pub tours in London including the Royal Pub tour offered by Experience Local Tours. There is a reason I wanted to book another tour with them - they are the best! And I have done a few so take my word for it. Danny Boy was the guide on this one, Tom was the guide on the Royal Pub tour - both were really wonderful. One thing I appreciate is they ask everyone in the group their name, and where they are from - this breaks the ice and makes the group more cohesive. Both guides really seemed to care about the comfort and enjoyment of all the clients.
Danny Boy had plenty of tales to tell and I learned a lot - on other tours, sometimes I got the feeling I should not ask too many questions. Not so with Danny Boy or Tom. A week after our tour, I suggested the tour to friends from San Diego and they took it with Carlos as their guide. They LOVED it. I met up with them at the end of their tour and was able to talk to Carlos for a few minutes - another great guide. Don't even bother to look anywhere else - just book with Experience Local Tours, you won't regret it.

I will wholeheartedly recommend the Soho Music and Historic Pubs tour to all my friends planning to visit London.
I had such a wonderful experience walking with Jack, our friendly and knowledgeable guide, and a small group of people around Soho. Jack not only is a great storyteller, but he also can connect with people and create a friendly atmosphere that each one of us enjoyed tremendously. I traveled back through history, learning about musicians, places, theater, and so much more! Tasting the local beer and sharing laughs with the members of our group in the historic pubs we visited added to this memorable experience. Vesselina

Simply the best! A magical musical mystery tour around Soho led by the brilliant 'you can call me Al'. He deserves his own 1 man show! He welcomed all of us with a very informative and friendly chat at the beginning and then entertained us with stories of the famous rock stars who had used (and abused) London in their musical career. We visited their pubs and clubs stopping off for a welcome drink and listened to even more facts and funny anecdotes behind the history of the pubs. He encouraged us to join in and we hung on his every word as everything was so well delivered and entertaining. What a star and what a tour. We shall never forget it. Highly recommended.

Aqualad aka Tom was one of the best tour guides Ive ever had in all my travels. Great storyteller, very friendly, involves the entire group. He made our experience through SoHo in London feel like we were all hanging out as best friends creating great memories together while sharing interesting and knowledgeable stories. I’d definitely do this tour again, especially with Tom.

Can you please give me a rough idea of how much walking is involved or distance/time between each pub. Just sussing if this will be ok for someone who can’t walk too far in one hit. Thank you
Written 30 April 2024
We met at Piccadilly so there is a walk or taxi to get there,
After that it was only a few blocks between each stop or pub. A beer or soft drink can be purchased by the 1/2 glass at each pub. Perhaps a nice hit of energy will come with the consumed beer.
Ask for Danny. Tell him I said 'Hi'.
