SHATravelling is seldom a pleasure these days, and having passed through the total trainwreck called Heathrow Airport last month I was expecting the usual utterly miserable experience at security, an interminable wait followed by a session with an utterly humourless individual dressed in black and wearing black nitrile gloves unpacking my had luggage with barely suppressed hate. Instead I was greeted by no wait a charming lady in a Christmas jumper who actually spoke to me and smiled. Then the man looking at the screen looked human and was wearing a red tee shirt, not waffen ss fatigues, and finally the man at the body scanner had tinsel in his hair. For the first time ever, yes ever! I was relaxed and happy going through security and I realised that this is how it should be. Not an utterly miserable experience accentuated by vile humourless creatures... WELL DONE EDINBURGH AIRPORT. ******Written 2 December 2022
