About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- timothysO2712SH0 contributionsExtremely Fun!!Trip was amazing. Our guide was wonderful. We had a real blast. Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath in one day. Lots to see, strict timeline, and fun.Written 17 March 2025
- roxanah3650 contributionsFamily tripI loved it because I walked around the palace. The villages where lovely and we had enough time to walk around and get food. Our guide was very informative.Written 16 March 2025
- milomagdalene0 contributionsBeware - they will cancel the tour on you and you’ll have to book one of their more expensive tours.Price gauge alert! The company reached out to me a week before the tour telling me that they were going to cancel this tour because of low attendance, and that I needed to rebook a new tour if I wanted to see the same sites — which was significantly more expensive. The reason why I selected this tour was because you see Stonehenge in the morning and Windsor Castle in the afternoon. With my London Pass, you could use that to enter Windsor Castle as it is included after 1pm. Now, I have to pay the entrance fee for Windsor Castle, spend extra time on the tour seeing an additional site (which you have to pay for), when truly I did not want to (however the only way to get to see both sites is on their tour). So, now I am paying significantly more money, spending more time on a bus, and the tour makes a profit. TripAdvisor was great about it though. They rebooked me on a new tour and I was able to use my coupon code. BEWARE of this specific tour.Written 16 March 2025

- Journey631541487860 contributionsAnother 5/5 ExperienceLeslie and Patrick were both phenomenal! Leslie was knowledgeable and quite funny as she told us about each location. Patrick ensured a smooth ride and made sure we had enough time to see the cool things that Leslie pointed out as we drove around. We always arrived and departed in a timely manner. I would’ve liked a bit more time at Warwick Castle and less time in Stratford, but overall I enjoyed each location. Check-in was smooth again and we were able to leave ahead of schedule due to how timely everyone was.Written 15 March 2025
- Journey631541487860 contributionsSo-SoThe tour bus itself was clean and even had USB-C charging ports but the seats were uncomfortable compared to the buses used on other Evan Evans tours. The windows also had some weird pattern on them that made it impossible to take pictures out the windows. The windows also fogged up quite bad, but, given that I couldn’t see out of them, it wasn’t the worst possible thing. Check-in was smooth, though departure time was delayed. For convenience purposes, I would still recommend this tour/transfer.Written 15 March 2025

Chrissy was super knowledgeable and even spoke in Japanese to accommodate several Japanese families aboard the tour. Barrington was kind and super friendly to everyone. We had an absolutely wonderful day exploring the Cotswolds, and our guide, Sheila, made it even more memorable. From the moment we met her, it was clear that Sheila had a deep love and knowledge of the area, which she shared with enthusiasm and warmth. Her storytelling brought the villages and countryside to life, and she was always happy to answer any questions we had.
The tour took us through some of the most picturesque spots in the Cotswolds – charming stone villages, rolling hills, and historic sites. Sheila made sure we had plenty of time to explore each place,
If you’re looking for a memorable way to explore this beautiful region, I highly recommend booking this tour. It was truly a day to remember!

Pleasant day tour to 3 small villages, about 2 hours + away from London. Tour guide Robert and bus driver Lynton were excellent, I would happily take another tour with that duo. I especially enjoyed Robert’s narration as the bus traveled through London, both outbound and on the return. For the most part the tour group was left free to roam at the destinations, with Robert suggesting places of interest. The villages visited are pretty and fun to see, I chose this itinerary for a family member, I might have enjoyed a bit more variety, say a tour that only include 1-2 villages but also went to Oxford or Stonehenge.

Dear Michael,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We’re delighted to hear that you had a pleasant day tour to the charming villages and that both Robert and Lynton provided excellent service. It’s wonderful to know you enjoyed Robert’s engaging narration as you traveled through London; we take pride in our knowledgeable guides!
We appreciate your feedback regarding the itinerary. While our tours are designed to allow some freedom to explore, we understand the desire for variety. Your suggestion for a tour that includes fewer villages but incorporates iconic destinations like Oxford or Stonehenge is valuable, and we will certainly take it into consideration for future planning.
Thank you once again for your kind words, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon!

We had an absolutely wonderful day exploring the Cotswolds with Robert and Indy. Robert's knowledge of the region’s history made the journey fascinating, and his insightful recommendations for each village helped us make the most of our time in this beautiful area. Indy expertly navigated the narrow streets of London and the countryside, making the entire trip smooth and enjoyable. Together, they created an unforgettable experience—we couldn't have asked for a better guide and driver!

Hi,
Firstly Manon is a wonderful guide and delightful person and I would give her ten stars if I could. Also Jonathan was a terrific driver.
Our booking wasn’t confirmed and when I rang a few times the call centre person pretty well blamed me for the booking not being confirmed.
I sent screenshot copies of the booking number etc - so make sure you keep copies or you might find the money taken out of your account too and be met with a ‘we have no record of your booking’ like I was at first.
The tourist office staff were cold and flat. We were ushered into a waiting room. We arrived early and there was a hot and cold water machine but no coffee etc (which would have been nice).
Manon came in to inform us (breath of fresh air) it was a 2.5 hour ride without a loo on the bus so please go before we leave.
There is only a single toilet, so poor facilities.
We chose a small private tour. Sadly the bus was small and really uncomfortable (I had my knees up my nose) and I don’t think the people in the back seats had a view at all. So really the trip was overbooked because I don’t think it’s fair you pay for a sight seeing tour and spend so many hours looking at back of heads. Thankfully the girls had good spirits and talked to each other for the trip.
We visited three villages. All were over crowded - it was a beautiful sunny Saturday and to be expected really. In the final village the highlight of the trip (the scary church in Burford) was closed.
Have the fish and chips if you can at the Chippery town in the middle of- they are the best old fashioned chips ever!
We had a really smooth trip home with lots of wonderful information from Manon.
Manon is highly professional but I think the Evan Evan’s company could do a lot to improve the comfort of their clientele.
Five stars for Manon. Thank you for your wonderful English charm.

Dear its_kathrine1970
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your recent tour with us.
We’re delighted to hear that you found Manon, your guide, to be a breath of fresh air. We're lucky to have her on our team.
We sincerely apologize for the initial difficulty in locating your booking. We understand how frustrating that must have been, and we’re working to ensure that this doesn't happen again.
Regarding your comments about coffee, we currently do not provide it in our office, but there are plenty of coffee shops nearby in Victoria that we hope you had the chance to enjoy.
We’re sorry to hear that our toilet facilities didn’t meet your expectations. While we haven't received previous complaints, we understand your concerns and will keep this in mind moving forward.
As noted during the booking process, our tours are designed for small groups. The use of a small coach is intentional, as larger vehicles are not permitted in the villages we visit. These restrictions help preserve the charm and tranquility of these areas, and we want to be respectful of the local residents and their way of life.
We also want to remind you that you travelled during the peak summer season, which naturally comes with larger crowds. We appreciate your understanding of this busy period and hope it didn’t detract too much from your experience.
Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you on another tour in the future.
Best wishes

I recently took a tour of the Cotswolds with Evan Evans, and it was an extremely disappointing experience. My mother and I, along with two other tourists, were left stranded in Bibury because the bus departed without us, despite us being at the designated meeting spot at the agreed time. We had to spend £150 on a taxi and trains to return to London.
To make matters worse, I contacted Evan Evans immediately and several times afterward but have yet to receive a response. My belongings, including purchases worth £40, were left on the bus, and I have since returned to my home country, making it impossible to retrieve them.
The lack of communication and consideration from Evan Evans is unacceptable. Despite writing multiple emails, I haven't received a single response. This level of customer service is incredibly disappointing and unprofessional.
I want other travelers to be aware of my experience so they can exercise caution when considering booking tours with Evan Evans. I hope this review will prompt the company to improve their customer service and take responsibility for their actions.

Dear WillyFog73
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are genuinely sorry to hear that you were left behind during your tour. Our protocol requires our tour guides to wait an additional 5 minutes for any latecomers, and we will be investigating this incident to understand what went wrong.
Regarding your lost property, we appreciate your patience as we work through this process. Since we collaborate with various coach suppliers, locating and retrieving lost items can sometimes take longer than expected. We always strive to return belongings as quickly as possible, but there are instances when delays are beyond our control.
Please note that, as per our company policy, we are unable to ship lost property overseas. However, if you have family or friends locally, we would be happy to assist in arranging for them to collect the items and send them to you.
Best wishes

If you’re look for a leisure trip to Cotswold s, this is definitely the right trip you should take. The trip is composed of 3 stops, Bibury, Bourton on the water and Burford. Megan as the tour guide did a great job in giving a group a brief yet informative introduction of London and Cotswold in terms of what’s it like in the past and now, and of the local plants, architectures, masonry. The driver Endy was also very considerate to slow down the bus at times so as to allow for the passengers to take in some special views.
I wish the trip could fit in one more destination by reducing some time in Burton on the water as it is really not easy to go to Cotswolds.

This was a great day trip! Robert was an excellent tour guide who shared interesting facts, history and stories about Cotswolds, and also shared a lot about London on our way out. Bill was a great driver who navigated very well through busy traffic, crowded streets and narrow lanes. It was a great day in the country with the perfect amount of stops, free time and nice photo moments! The instructions were very clear along the way. I would highly recommend this tour!

We specifically booked this tour because it was advertised and confirmed verbally it was a small group under 16 people. However, be aware it was double that and when we inquired we were told it was the tour companies fault by the guide. Additionally, it was advertised we would have 1.5 hrs in two of the stops and it ended up being1 hour in each not enough time to take in everything! The guide was very nice though but I would not recommend this company again

We took the Small Group Cotswold tour that included Bibury, Bourton on the Water and Burford.
Both our driver Leo, and our guide Cameron, were consummate professionals. Leo navigated through often intense London traffic to get us safely to and from. Cameron combined a broad knowledge of history with the skills of the trained actor that he is. He’s very easy to hear, communicates very well and is a lot of fun. Most importantly he doesn’t bury you in information although he is more than happy to answer your question if you wish more detail. This pair of professionals took us to three charming villages in the Cotswolds. These were Lovely towns to visit. We can’t say enough good things about these two men. It was a tour well worth taking and we recommend that you do so. We had advice from other tour guide professionals that Evan Evans was a high-quality tour experience. We have learned that that is very true.

This tour was great and every stop in the Cotswolds had something different to offer. The Cotswolds all in all were so beautiful and historical, so I highly recommend as a day trip from London.
Megan especially made this trip fantastic as such a kind and caring tour guide. She took the time to make sure everyone was comfortable and asked if anyone had additional questions. She even helped us pick our fish and chips restaurant after. Shoutout to our bus driver Lucien who was a great and smooth driver for our coach bus.
