Overview
Beyond London’s most popular landmarks, it isn’t always easy for visitors to follow in locals’ footsteps. But, this guided walking tour through East London breaks down barriers and gives you a cultural immersion in the city’s most creative and eclectic neighborhoods. See lively Spitalfields Market, trendy Shoreditch, and diverse Brick Lane on foot. Learn about the area’s history and discover the vibrant street art that East London is famous for.
What to Expect
Your afternoon tour kicks off near the conveniently located Liverpool Street Station. Meet your guide and head to your first stop: Spitalfields Market. Traders have been operating on this market site for hundreds of years. Today, it’s home to clothing stalls, stylish boutiques, and some of East London’s most in-demand restaurants.
Then, visit Brick Lane: an always-bustling area that is home to a large Bengali community as well as artists, street food markets, and independent shops and galleries.
The tour continues through Shoreditch, which remains one of the city’s most vibrant and creative districts. As you go, learn about the area’s history and discover the abundant street art. Your guide will point out ephemeral works by international artists.
The walking tour ends when you return to your original departure point.

Favorite Teen London Activity

Took Gary’s tour and can safely say it was my teenage son’s favorite London activity. The whole family braved the chilly day to see and hear about not just street art but the history of the East End. Fantastic fun!
