Our guide Ivan was very well informed and gave detailed information about each murder including interesting facts and some photos of key documents whilst keeping the focus very much on the women who were killed; it was respectfully done. - Roving569590677730 contributionsCouldn't have been grater cheese tourWe really enjoyed this fantastic tour, which exceeded our all ready high expectations (based on a lot of the reviews). Mel was fun and engaging. It was an ample amount of cheese & two generous taster size samples of wine. It was enough food to be our lunch, and we ate sitting down in several different restaurants - all beautifully laid up for our visit. Not every cheese was necessarily our favorite, but it was about the experience as a whole, so that didn't matter at all. We highly recommend it.Written 2 November 2024

My friend and I forewent West End tickets and dinner in favour of a walking tour about ghosts and we fully regret that decision. We arrived on time and while there was a group of people at the meeting point, no one was obviously keeping an eye out for customers. After waiting for 15 minutes, someone we had assumed was attending the tour stopped his conversation with two young female American tourists and checked out ticket.
We finally got going with the guide walking extremely slowly and continuing his flirtatious conversation with the two females that were going to continue to be his distraction for the rest of the tour.
The stories were inaccurate, vague and very poorly told.
The rest of the group began walking ahead of the guide as it was such a slow walk our hips were hurting and the minus temperatures were more bearable with a bit of pace. This meant at one point the guide was left behind and most of the group had to walk back 300 yards or more once they realised he had stopped.
There was a photo opportunity in St James’ park and the guide only offered to take photos of the females that had captured his attention and clearly didn’t get the hint that the rest of the group were ready to go despite us all congregating at the other end of the bridge and asking which way next.
The city sites were beautiful, and we saw a few parts of London we hadn’t seen before.
The boat trip is on the clipper.
Once we had arrived at the Tower Hill final location, almost all of the group gave up and disappeared (like many of his ghost stories) and the guide seemed genuinely surprised that they had left - despite the fact that the tour was supposed to be 2 hours and by that point it had been over 3 hours.
As you can probably tell, it became quite farcical!

A very relaxing and enjoyable tour. The designated meeting place for the tour was easy to find (using Google maps of course!) and our tour guide Angela arrived well before the start of the tour. Angela was an excellent tour guide and throughout the tour she recounted a huge amount of interesting and entertaining stories about the ghosts who inhabited the various buildings that she took us to. Her knowledge was excellent and her delivery was entertaining and clear. The boat ride was on one of the Thames Clippers and was a quick way to get to the final part of the tour at the Tower of London. Obviously the tour guide did not do any narration at this point because these are large boats open to the public so the tour party was very spread out but nevertheless it was still a very pleasant way to reach our final destination as it took us past the financial district giving us a view of the iconic Shard and Gherkin. Overall the tour was a very enjoyable way to spend an evening and I highly recommend it.

I highly recommend this tour if you want to learn about spooky Roman history while simultaneously experiencing the liveliness of Rome’s nightlife. If possible, book this tour with Andrea, who brought to life a very dark history through both humor and wit, as we visited many of the actual places where the events he spoke about (which ranged the from the comical and frightening to the heartbreaking) took place. In addition to being a fantastic storyteller, Andrea was also very cordial and helpful, taking his time to answer any questions we had and recommending us numerous tourists spots, restaurants, etc., for us to visit, and so making him and this tour fully deserving of five stars.

If your into a little theatre on legs then look no further!! A little wander round London on a cold, crisp night was superb. Spooky tales and ghost stories around various parks and houses of this beautiful city followed up with a boat trip down the Thames to finish at the tower of London. Great views and photo opportunities all along the walk, taking in the London Eye, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. The trip on the Thames, with all the buildings lit up at night was worth the tour fee alone!! Special shout out to Tom who was an excellent host and an especially great storyteller. I would say this is easily the best 20 quid you'll spend on a tour.

10/10 absolutely recommend this tour for anyone visiting London that wants to learn about the history of the city. Our guide Tom was such an engaging, charismatic guide that had a very deep knowledge of the city’s history and delivered it in a funny, easy to follow manner. He always made time in between his explanations to converse with everyone individually as well. Being here solo, I felt less alienated as we had small chats, so much so I came back the next day for another one of his tours! -M

Our Tour Guide was Marvin, and he was excellent, bringing the historical stories alive with the right balance of factual information delivered with humour.
Marvin was also really mindful and caring about the different physical abilities of his large group, taking care of all.
This tour included a boat trip, which was a welcome sit down whilst we sailed down the Thames looking at the various buildings.
This was a really good tour, and a great way to see different parts of London, learning about its history, good value for money, would recommend it.

An informative couple of hours spent walking around a few areas of London. At the start of the evening our large group was split into 2 and we were in John’s group. John was extremely engaging as he shared some stories of London’s gory past. It was a nice night so it was pleasant to have a stroll through Green and St James’ Parks. The boat ride included is an Uber Boat from Westminster to Tower Bridge, which you share with other paying passengers - I had assumed the boat ride would have been part of the tour experience where the guide would have continued speaking about some of the sights however, it was just used as a means to get us from Westminster to Tower Bridge. That said, we found ourselves sitting by Marvin (the other guide) and he was chatting to another couple and was still pointing out the sights and giving a bit of historical information as we passed the Globe, St Paul’s etc. The last point on the tour was Tower of London and we were again told a couple of stories about the ghosts said to haunt the Tower. All in all, this was a last minute booking and it was a good few hours spent.

I’ve been on a lot of walking tours in many different countries so it’s really sad that the one bad one I’ve been on is in my own country in my home city.
We met at Green Park and were split into two groups of approx 20 per group. This wasn’t a problem, or shouldn’t have been.
The guy who took the other half of the group seemed to really engage with them and in fairness he still at healthy numbers at the end.
Our guide unfortunately just seemed to be going through the motions, the stories were not told in an engaging way and were frankly dull and boring.
She seemed to be watching YouTube when we were walking from story location to story location, this reflected in the group as by the end of the tour 11 had left. This only left 9 of us standing with her at the Tower of London.
At the tower we were again in earshot of the other group who’s guide was chipping in all sorts of facts and engaging his group… I listened to him.
I wouldn’t say don’t do it… just make sure you get in the male guides group.

The experience was absolutely amazing. Our guide Tom talks with so much passion that you cannot help but be immersed in the stories. I have a hearing impairment and was concerned that I might not hear everything. If you feel the same way, don't worry! Tom made sure we were all close enough and speaks loud and clearly so even your 80 year old gandpa will understand.

Tom was absolutely fantastic, with a slight delay from the start due to issues on the underground, Tom tried to stay as long as he possibly could to allow the rest of the group to arrive. He was VERY informative and while walking between each ghost slight he ensured he got to know all his guests. On the boat trip he allowed the guests to relax and enjoy the scenery but also ensured he spent a couple of minutes with everyone to ensure they were having the best experience.
Tom was full of facts and some that most people wouldn’t know. So let’s hope that comes up in the next pub quiz!
Thank you Tom for a wonderful evening!
