    London Eye Sunset
Really enjoyed the London Eye River Cruise. We booked the last slot at 4.45pm and got some amazing photographs of the sun setting over London. There was no waiting in the queue, everything moved quickly. I really liked the way each car collects passengers as it moves (very very) slowly around so there is no waiting around. The time on the London Eye is just right for seeing everything and getting as many photographs as you like. We all really loved the experience and it is a fantastic way to see London from the sky. We moved straight onto the cruise so again no waiting around which we all really appreciated. Our guide (Scottish guy) was very entertaining. A lot of staff around to ensure everybody's safety and just a nice atmosphere on the boat. For people who didn't want to freeze in the name of sightseeing on the upper deck, there was a very comfortable and warm section on the lower deck. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

    Unimpressed kids
I would not recommend the London Eye. It is very expensive, and the long queues make the experience even less enjoyable. You can get better views for free from other locations in London. Additionally, it would be nice if they provided some information inside the pods to enhance the experience. Overall, it's not worth the time or money. I only did this because I have two kids, aged 7 and 8, and thought they would like it, but even for them, it was very boring.

This here is one of the biggest attractions in London and for a reason! The ferris wheel is massive and nice we really like it
On a clear day I can imagine the views are amazing, but we went during a winter evening Due expect to wait in line for at least 30 minutes even with tickets

    So so
Ok, but not more. Sure, you can see Big Ben, House of Parliament and Westminister Abbey from above, but thats it. Not so many other interesting London sights can be seen from here. Would have wanted a guide/direction towards interesting spots to watch for.

    Unimpressed. Couldn’t even go on.
Me and my friend were so excited to go on the London Eye last weekend. We booked tickets in the morning and there were no issues. We travelled for a couple of hours into London and walked quite a long way to the Eye. We rushed all along Southbank, barely finishing our lunch to get there on time. When we reached the Eye, we scanned our tickets and waited in a pretty lengthy queue. Nobody mentioned anything and we were treated like regular customers, as we should be. After a while in the queue, we were both very excited to get on our ride up the wheel. We were just about to step on, when a member of staff stopped us and asked for our ages. We told them truthfully that we were 15/14. They told us that we were not allowed on the London Eye because we were too young. Neither the website, nor anyone in the queue had even mentioned this unnecessary age limit, despite many people knowing there were two of us. We were both bitterly disappointed and the day was ruined. We had to talk to at least four different members of staff, all who were unapologetic and frankly apathetic. None of them helped us get a refund or resolve the situation and they didn’t seem to care about it either. Our last instruction was to email the company, which I did, and received a disappointing automated email which was of no help. I think this is very disappointing and the company should just be more qualified as it is so popular and has been in business for such a long time.

    London Eye and River Cruise
We are on a sight seeing trip from Manchester and we did the combined London Eye and River Cruise package today which was excellent and worth every penny. All staff at both attractions were courteous, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. On the river cruise our guide Ian was so friendly and knowledgeable, he provided thorough and comprehensive information about the buildings, the river and its history in a really entertaining and enjoyable way. Even though the weather was wet and windy and we braved it outside on the cruise it didn’t dampen our spirits as Ian was so entertaining with a great sense of humour. Would definitely recommend.

    Highly recommend this double attraction.
Unfortunately it rained on us in the eye but it was great to see London through the raindrops on the pod. The boat trip was fantastic, made so by lovely staff and the amazing Ian with his hilarious pop commentary on the history and sights. Highly recommended.

Nice view from an easy ride
It looks daunting from the ground, but the ride itself is not something to worry about even if you are a bit afraid of heights. It felt very safe and did not move fast at all. Great way to get an eagles view of the area.

I took my ride on the London Eye already knowing exactly what awaited me: a beautiful, expensive view and ideal for a quick rest in the middle of the city of London, and that was exactly what I received.

As I only had 5 hours free to visit the place, as I left the airport between changing flights, it seemed like a necessary trip so that I could see more of the city in such a short period. I bought the Fast-Track ticket, so that I could simply arrive and enter, at any time and without waiting in line. I made the right choice!

Upon arriving at the entrance, the normal queue was visible from afar - the people who were there certainly spent at least 30-40 minutes waiting to buy. Furthermore, the common ticket gives you the right to enter at a specific time and I would not be able to provide this exactness due to my limitations.

Entry to Fast-Track was super simple: there was an attendant at the entrance to the queue, reading the QR Codes with a small device. I presented mine on my cell phone and joined the queue, which lasted about 5 minutes. After that, I was directed to one of the Ferris wheel carts.

Positive points: It's a really beautiful view, from all sides of the cart, which lasts about 30 minutes. There's a place to sit. The organization at the entrance is quick and functional. Online purchasing (which I HIGHLY recommend, as it avoids queues and is cheaper) also works without any problems. For those who are afraid of heights, don't worry - it rotates so slowly that you only notice it if you're standing close to the windows.

Negative points: It's expensive - the Fast-Track ticket, at the price for October/2023, was costing more than 350 reais. There are a lot of people inside the cart, around 10/15 people, and almost none of them wear protective masks (and there is ALWAYS someone coughing and/or sick). The air conditioning wasn't working the day I went and it was HOT.

Finally, I'd say that it's a cool tour, but, due to the price, it's only worth it if you have little time in the city (like me). If you're going to stay there for days, I'd say take photos of the Ferris wheel outside and go hang out - it'll be 40 minutes better spent.

The London Eye offers a must-do experience with stunning views of the city's skyline. A ride on this iconic observation wheel provides a unique perspective on famous landmarks. While ticket prices are on the higher side and queues can be long, booking in advance can help. Definitely worth a visit for unforgettable memories and breathtaking scenes of London.

In the summer and during holidays, I recommend buying a fast track ticket, especially if you're traveling with children under 12 years old. In August, even with a fast track ticket, we still waited 20 minutes in line!!

If your looking for something do solo or with friends this is a great place to go its such a great filler attractions to waste time it takes around hour depending on the queue, you can get a great photo before you go onto the eye. The eye always moves so just bare that mind when boarding, they don't allow you take prams onboard opened. I would say just fold them once you have been through security. I have only ever had a pod to myself early in the morning during term times, and very late at night. I love going at out because you see London at dark and the city looks lovely at night. There are loads of restaurants near the eye once you've finished can always go for dinner after. I would say that the Southbank gets very busy during the night time so always book tickets a few days before so you get the times you want. I like to book two weeks before. With a merlin pass you get to use the fast track lane be warned its stairs up to the eye if you do use the fast track lane. So you might like to wait in the main queue.
The pod does move very slowly I never recommend taken children under 5 on the eye I took my child whos under 4 and they got so bored and we hadn't even got to the top. You do get a great view of London, once you start to come back to bottom you can get a photo inside the pod there are camera pictures on the floor that show you where to stand for the photo I say once you get inside the pod go and stand on one, as everyone runs for them and don't move from that spot or someone will take it.
Other than that this isn't an attraction you can go on more than twice. But it's fun to do if you haven't already

Fun but was it really worth the money. We did as tourists and now it is checked off our list. Everyone should make their own decision if it is worth the additional money

We purchased the Fast Track ticket for the Express Lane access it moved a lot faster than the regular line. Still waited over 1/2 before before we got in a capsule. I think each capsule they let 20 or 25 (didn't count exactly) people. Plenty of room to see 360 degrees and enjoy the views. The views and pictures came out really nice. You don't have to push or worry about not getting a view. PLENTY of space for everyone. Enough space to sit also.

32 capsules, takes 32 minutes to go around. Fourth largest Ferris wheel in the world. It doesn't stop so you get on and off while it is riding. It is slow and is not dangerous. It does stop when someone needs assistance.

Long wait despite a skip-the-line ticket and obviously the access time slots are not respected.
The view is superb but if you are unfortunate enough to come across a noisy group in the cabin, it becomes hell.
If you are visiting London for the first time, everything costs money so the price may seem high but in keeping with the city.

We visited the London Eye on a Saturday in August. We had pre-purchased a flexi-fast pass. The fast pass line took 30-45 min before we were able to board. The views of the city are gorgeous as you go around, and the full ride is around 30 minutes. If you are a fan of views, this is one of the best spots to get them. With that being said, the entrance area to line up was chaotic and extremely long, especially if you didn’t have a fast pass. The cars are air-conditioned, but the a/c system was weak relative to the number of people and that the pod is entirely glass (like a greenhouse). Overall, I would say if you love a city view, then it’s worth it, but be prepared for a long wait and to sweat, especially when it’s hot outside.

Beautiful view but if you bring small kids, they might quickly get bored as there is nothing to do on the ride but look at the beautiful view. Stil, if you havent gone before, its still worth trying . It's the london eye, one should try it at least once:)

They do take a photo of you before you enter the london eye, and you can purchase it. We purchased our photo but we did think the price we paid was too expensive for 2 photos.

We do like the location where the Lodon eye is situated though. There's plenty of people, some are performing on the street (dont take photos with them, they will expect payment). They had this place where they sold drinks, I loved it. So its nice talking a stroll there and people watch after going on the london eye.

We were all really looking forward to this today but left sadly disappointed and concerned at what happened.

We had booked the 10am session with our Merlin pass which includes fast track. We arrived around 9.40am and queued outside the attraction as expected as it only opened at 10am.

Around 9.55am we were sent through the bag check into a holding area with a glass roof. Very nice except when the weather is so hot. Maintenance we still working on the pods so it clearly wasn’t opening at 10am as planned. Everyone was then crammed into lines under the glass roof resulting in 2 people being taken poorly 1 adult and 1 child who looked in a bad way.

We were made to stand here for quite a significant amount of time while the pod was fixed with no access to drinks. Resulting in at least 2 people being taken ill and injuried which could have been avoided with a little common sense.

Not the way I wanted to start the day or experience this especially as it could have been avoided if people had been left outside invth fresh air rather than a sweat box. Hopefully the people hurt are ok.
