- T7087GBjeffreys0 contributionsFantastic Bridget Jones (and sightseeing London) TourWe really like the Bridget Jones movies and found out about this tour in London. We had a great time and made a lot of pictures. Our tour guide Fiona was really good. She received the Bridget bunny ears from three ladies in the group and this was a good way of following her in the busy time of the year. In all the spots of the tour she shows a picture of the film and knows the lyrics by heart😁 We had a great time and this tour is also great for sightseeing London😉Written 30 November 2024

- RCD19710 contributionsDr Who with LawWe came from Australia and this was a must do on my husband’s itinerary he is a big Whovian. The tour was enjoyable but ran overtime with Law. I don’t like Dr Who but I enjoyed it. We were then rushing to get back to our hotel as the tour had gone 30 minutes over the actual time of the tour. Law left members of our group behind another Brit tour we did the same thing happened but that time it was us that was left behind. Maybe Brit Tours need to get their guides to make sure everyone is with them and not getting left behind.Written 16 November 2024
- RCD19710 contributionsTour interesting Tour Guide not goodWe travelled from Australia and this was a must do thing on my itinerary. We did the tour on the 2nd March. I can’t remember the tour guides name but he went too fast and at one point of the tour he didn’t wait for the whole group and we didn’t know where the rest of the group had gone being first time visitors to London left a bad feeling. We eventually found them but had to tell the tour guide to slow down. If I did this tour again I would hope for a different guide.Written 16 November 2024

- Ann B0 contributionsGavin & Stacey Barry Island tourI booked the Gavin & Stacey tour of Barry Island for my partner’s birthday last week. We were picked up in Dave’s coach ( the actual coach!) and Dave and Nessa’s cousin were there to greet us. To say this tour exceeded my expectations is an understatement. The tour is interactive and our hosts were so friendly and knowledgable, as well as reminding us of why we love Gavin & Stacey so much. The tour was hilarious and really inciteful as a fan. We had the opportunity to take photos at various filming locations, and got to meet the lovely Glenda, who lends her house to Gwen and Stacey during filming! We are hoping to book another tour with Knock Off Nessa soon! Couldn’t recommend this enough! If you’re a fan, I would totally recommend this.Written 8 November 2024
- MarjanStone0 contributionsFun Bond locations tourI would recommend this experience. My husband ( big James Bond fan) and myself joined other Bond fans on the tour. The tour took us by coach and part walking around various locations from Bond films, right in the centre of London. After each place visited, we saw the same location in the actual Bond film on the bus. We saw parts of London that I’d never seen before. As well as being Bond tour there was lots of history and interesting information along the way. We ended up by the London Eye. Our tour guide ( ours was the very last of the year) was fun and knowledgeable. There was time halfway through for a loo break and a cuppa. It lasted approximately 4 hours. We had a super time. I’d recommend it.Written 8 November 2024
- 541ANDREAP0 contributionsExcellent 2 hour Sherlock Holmes walking tourOur daughter bought this tour for my partner who is a massive fan of Sherlock Holmes and he wasn't disappointed. Our walking guide Jonathan was brill, you can feel his passion for the fictitious character Sherlock Holmes and the life of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The sights were amazing. Jonathan used pictures relevant to parts of both the film and TV series adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories. He covers the first films with Basil Rathbone and the more up to date films with Robert Downey Jr also the TV series with Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock. He also added bits of information on British history along the way. The tour took about 2 hours. Starting point outside the Criterion Theatre, right outside Piccadilly Circus tube station. Finishing at Somerset House The Strand. To sum the tour up in one word - EXCELLENT.Written 31 October 2024

My wife and I are both fans of "Midsomer Murders," so this tour was a highlight of our trip to England. Our guide Eva has a great sense of humor and did a wonderful job making sure that everyone felt welcome and part of the group. And special props to Moe, our coach driver, who had to navigate some impossibly narrow roads in a large bus.
Hint for vegans: You'll get a lunch break in Henly-on-Thames; try the delicious food at Hart Street Tavern.

Very good day despite the very hot weather. Our tour guide Caroline was excellent and gave lots of information, not just about Midsomer Murders but also about the history of the areas we toured.
Particularly appreciated the detailed itinerary that Caroline ran through at the beginning.
The coach driver was very pleasant and an excellent driver, especially around the winding roads.
Would certainly recommend.

Exploring the smaller villages outside London was a fantastic experience. Although I don’t watch the show myself, I joined the tour with my mom, who’s a big fan. The bus, accommodating 28 people, was a real highlight of the trip—especially because navigating those narrow roads and making tight U-turns showcased the impressive skill of our driver.
The guide provided excellent information about the show, its filming locations, and the local history, which I appreciated. However, I couldn’t give a perfect rating because the DVD player, which was essential for showing scenes from the show, wasn’t working. Since I’m not familiar with the show, I was relying on it to find the connecting between the location and the show. Additionally, the guide’s microphone was having issues, with a lot of crackling and feedback that made it hard to hear at times.

We booked the tour sometime last year and I must admit as the day approached I was a little apprehensive as to what we should expect. The day indicated that it would be very long (roughly 8 hours) and that felt like a lot of time on a coach. I needn't have been concerned.
The coach picked us up outside of Holland Park tube station. We arrived around an hour early, 8.30amish, so had a lovely breakfast in the French cafe there. There's also a Pret and a Starbucks.
Our tour guide, Rob, was there as promised when we booked in at 9.20am. The coach was also already there. There was a slight delay to us leaving as some tourists had not arrived, or told anyone that they weren't coming, so Rob kindly waited 15 minutes. Personally I would have left on time without them as you are given plenty of warning about getting to the meeting point on time. This did not really cause any issues however.
The coach was air conditioned and comfortable, although the seats were very close to the ones in front. Rob was friendly and informative on the way our of London and it seemed to take no time at all until we were in 'Midsomer'. The villages we visited were utterly gorgeous and so very quiet! We had a drink in a couple of pubs, used in filming, during the day and lunch in Henley on Thames which we will be going back to.
I can't say enough good things about Rob, our tour guide. He knows so much about Midsomer, and the whole area, it was amazing!
The whole day was planned so well and we had a great and surprisingly very relaxing day.
If you're dithering about whether it's worth a trip, I'd say dither no more. Book it. You won't regret it if you're a Midsomer fan!

First, I bow down to Tony the driver, who got the bus through all the small lanes, around bicyclists, and through all the traffic in London. Amazing job. Second to Eva, our guide, for a fantastic tour of the countryside and Midsomer info. It didn't hurt that it was a perfect Midsomer's day, 80 degrees and sunny. We wandered around the villages a bit, got pints at pubs, got into the churches, ate cakes, had lunch at the Argyle in Henley, and soaked it all up. The filming locations are pointed out with video clips and as we traveled through the villages. Cricket practice and regatta preparations in Henley added to the trip. Worth every pound/dollar. Cheers!

Actually we went on a Midsomer Murders private tour starting in Oxford. We explored a seemingly huge number of "quaint" English villages and locations. As is often the case, some of the things we didn't expect to be interesting were highlights, like the courthouse at Long Crendon. The insights into how the tv series was made were very enlightening. Lunch at the Six Bells at Warborough (featured in six or seven episodes) was so good we will be going back there. Cake at Dorchester Abbey was another special moment. The guide was very knowledgeable and took infinite pains to make the day a success.

Our guide Eva was wonderful - she made our time on the coach so much fun! The trip itself was very well planned - everything we saw was picture perfect, and it’s worth doing this trip just to see the idyllic villages, even if you don’t watch the TV show. My husband came to keep me company - he isn’t interested in detective dramas and was surprised by how interesting he found the trip. A highlight for us was seeing England’s oldest primary school. We were also fascinated by the connection between some of the film locations and Henry VIII. I recommend this tour for fans of the TV show and anyone interested in beautiful countryside and English history.

Where do I start.....a must for midsomer murders fans .Well organised and so enjoyable.A big thank you to Eva our guide and the bus driver Nick who added so much to the tour with his easy charm and conversation. The locations were beautiful and breathtaking and the knowledge of our guide Eva was both entertaining and most enjoyable. One recommendation is instead of spending 50 mins in Dorchester maybe cut this to 20 mins the tour should spend more time visiting the stunning Six Bells on the Green Inn ...definitely sit and savour the most beautiful little Hamlett I've ever come across. Well done to everyone I really enjoyed it ...I travelled from Cork in Ireland with my husband who was not a fan but he really had a very enjoyable day thanks to Eva and Nick.

We were on the Morden I Midsumer tour and it was fantastic! Wonderfully committed guide in Rob and an incomparably good bus driver, Dave. We visited several places and at some we went on a guided tour and at others there was a group information and then the opportunity to walk around on our own. An absolutely perfect trip and the group was mixed both in age and nationalities. Can really recommend it even to those who are not fans of the series. Nice views, beautiful villages and interesting information.

Will you pick us up from our hotel in london?
How long are the tours?
Do you use a bus or minivan or what?
Written 9 September 2019
The previous answers are correct. The tour picks you up at Holland Park station in a large comfortable tour bus. My husband and I stayed at a hotel nearby. The station is near Holland Park which is a beautiful place to see in the area. The tour was a little less than 8 hours but didn’t seem that long. It was a wonderful way to spend the day especially if you are a Midsomer Murders fan.
