- Your Harry Potter adventure starts with a pickup in Central London by superior coach. Travel through the city and arrive at the Warner Bros. Studios in Watford about an hour later. After your driver drops you at the entrance, your guest services assistant will arrange your entrance ticket. Use it to gain entry to the Making of Harry Potter. Your ticket assures you a time to explore the filmmaking magic behind the movies. On your own, walk the same paths that your favorite characters did as you stroll the Forbidden Forest, Great Hall, Diagon Alley, and Platform 9 ¾. See real sets, costumes, and props used in the films, including the Burrow, Hermione's Yule Ball dress, the golden snitch, and the 950 glass jars that line the potions classroom. Before you finish your tour, get an inside look at how special effects were used for the Great Hall’s enchanted ceiling, and see how the goblins who ran Gringott’s and other mystical creatures were created. Plus, stop by the studio store, where you can pick up a wand or chocolate frog (own expense). Your experience ends with a drop-off back in London.

- 1Marvel at how the SFX team at Warner Bros. created some of the movies’ scariest characters, including an animatronic foetal Lord Voldemort, and visit Privet Drive; home of Harry’s dreadful aunt and uncle, the Dursleys. My husband who went on the tour said they hardly explained anything in the tower of London. I have been on other tours and they were so informative. He mentioned that there was a loud family on the phone and the guide Stella was not very good nor was she informative. This is literally the first time I’ve booked something on trip advisor / Viator that didn’t turn out to be good. Don’t fall for the ratings, book a different tour.Written 10 December 2024

There’s a bit of travel time but Mel’s wit and interesting info had the time pass in no time. I appreciated the amount of time chosen for each site. Stonehenge is cool but not much to see after the monument so I was really glad for the extra time in Bath. The city of Bath was great! And the time given allowed me to see the Roman Baths, Abbey, eat lunch and shop at a few shops. Definitely recommend this tour. Thanks Mel and driver Marlon!Written 9 December 2024

First let me say that Evan Evans Tours are great. We took 2 Evan Evans Tours when we visited London, both bus trips, guides and drivers were excellent. When you visit the Making of Harry Potter via the tour company, once you arrive at the studios, you are given a large block of time for your visit, like 4-4 1/2 hours. This is great if you are a huge Harry Potter fan, because there is a lot to see and all of the sets, props, costumes, art, etc. is amazing. But if you're just a mild enthusiast like us, you will finish the tour in a hour and a half, two hours max. That left us with over 2 hours until the bus was schedule to return to London. The tour company does provide you with instructions to make your way back using public transportation but at your own cost, which we did (shuttle>train>tube>walk) and there were no issues. I say all this to say the Making of Harry Potter attraction is great, I recommend if you are a fan. But if you don't see yourself staying for 4-4 1/2 hours, arrange your own transportation. It's really easy to get there. I highly recommend Evans Evans tours, they take care of everything, just be aware the transportation time table is fixed.

Visited here for second time in ten years and things have changed quite a lot. Firstly parking is good and there were no queues at the entrance . The tour is very good and we really enjoyed this again . The only downside was the backlot cafe which is needed as it’s about an hour or so into the tour. The queues for food and butter beer was bad and the service was painfully slow. This area needs sorting out and the prices for food and especially butter beer is extortionate. Butter beer is 6-95 with a souvenir plastic cup but it’s way too much for essentially cream
Soda and extracts . There needs to be other food or drink outlets throughout to alleviate the queues at this cafe. All in all the tour is very good , bit pricey but worth at least one visit .

The service provided by Evans Evans was really good, the bus left on time and spared me from a possible stressful trip with public transportation. However they just offer us 4 hours inside the Studios and this is not enough! The place is huge and with so many things to do/see. At the end of the tour I had to rush a little bit so I wouldn’t miss the bus. I would say at least make it 5 hours and see what people will say.

Visiting the studio itself is awesome! This "tour" is simply a bus (transportation) to the studio and a ticket. The bus driver did not say a word the entire hour there or back. Did not point out sights we passed, or say a word about Harry Potter. There was a tv at the front of the bus and he played another unrelated movie with no sound, when he could have easily played Harry Potter and everyone would have been happy. Bus did not have wifi either. If I went again, I would simply buy tickets to the studio and find my own transportation, because it is very hard to see everything in the few hours they give you before the bus leaves.

What a day. Travelled from Dublin for the day.
Flew Ryanair to Luton Airport (33 euro pp) at 8am, private taxi ordered in advance to pick us up at 10:30 (200 euro return) and drop us back at 4:30 then flew home at 8pm.
3 adults, 6 kids ages 10-13.
A great day had by all. Very interesting and great fun from beginning to end. The great hall is amazing, all laid out for a feast!
There are lots of opportunities for photos and the butter beer was delish!
It takes about 4 hours to get through everything.
Lots of places to buy snacks on the way around and places to sit and have a picnic if you bring your own. If you like Harry Potter, it's well worth a visit.
Gift shop is a bit pricey so be prepared...

My girlfriend and I visited the studios at the beginning of February, and the entire experience definitely exceeded expectations. The amount of props from each film is staggering, and I was definitely surprised by the number of life size sets that were still intact.
Only downside is that all of the souvenirs are on the expensive side, but that definitely doesn't detract from an amazing experience. Would definitely recommend!

The attraction is really good and the staff are very well trained at enhancing the experience.
There was a few issues for me, a lot of the displays would be better if you could walk through them, like the train and the night bus etc. Also as the tickets are expensive it is quite bad how much they charge for film snippets and photos. The site is cleverly set out to make money so that you have to walk through both the cafe and shop? Both of which are extortionate!!!!

We had a great and comfortable time traveling on the bus back and forth from the WB Studio: The Making of Harry Potter. The bus was clean, seats comfortable, and had charging ports. Our bus driver played one of the HP movies for us to keep us entertained while we are aboard. There's no toilet on the bus so the tour company staff will tell you to use the toilet before getting on the bus. It's about an hour to hour and a half to the destination. They provide you with paper tickets to enter the studio. Once you get there, you have 4 hours to view on your own leisure. We were originally planning on a trip to the studio by ourselves but saw that regular tickets were totally sold out for the month and we weren't sure about our ride options, which is why we chose to go with Evan Evans Tours. We are glad we did because the ride was comfortable and they gave us enough time to look around. Would probably try one of their London tours next time we are back.

Though we had a lovely day the bugging of the tour was rushed and cramped.they cramed 150 into a room and rushed us straight out the another room with chairs where after searing for 10 mins rushed us out telling us come on we need to get the screen back down, once in the big hall then rushed us to the front of the hall unable to see the displays and spoke without a mic so we couldn't hear as we had 2 young children and we were pushed to the back we missed it all then told us to vacate the big hall for the next four telling us we could go back after well we couldn't. After that we walked around on our own and it was fantastic so much to see and read no doubt we missed alot. If you are visiting take a pack lunch (a hotdog is £9) and be prepared for lots of add ons 4 places for pictures at £15 a picture ends up very costly and hi for the early tour to much to see in a few hours. Lovely place and amazing how they done things.

It was really great! Its grand and amazing, when you first step in, hearing the music, it really feels magical. I suggest to those who come early to visit the Café/Restaurant at the beginning next to the tour entrance, as thats where you can have food first. Halfway through the tour after the forbidden forest is the second smaller café. Unfortunately neither had pumpkin pasties or cauldron cakes, (they might be seasonal? But they weren’t available) but both have butter beer. There’s also 3 separate gift shops along the tour, the first after the forbidden forest with general christmas and hogwarts merch. The second at the 9 3/4 station with lots of wizarding sweets and some train merch. Then the largest of the bunch at the end of the tour, it really is massive, so I suggest you save your time and shop everything at the end, they have all the items of the previous two gift shops and a whole lot more, including wands, plushies, lego and jewellery. I’d say depending on your budget, bring around £50-150 because no matter what, you’ll find things you want to impulse buy, and I sure did. No regrets. Make sure you bring enough clothing if you’re visiting during winter or at night as the knight bus, privet drive and the burrow, and the greenhouse are all outside. Make sure to also either get a coach with the ticket or one of the Warner Bros studio tour buses, as at the end of the night, it’s difficult to get transport anywhere else. And its nice to go from freezing cold outside to a warm ride home.
