About
It’s a day of magic, imagination, and inspiration.
Many have gazed upon Stonehenge and wondered how the enormous standing stones ended up like that. Some believe the wizard Merlin worked his magic to create them. Others imagine aliens are involved. While some agree it was the Romans. Standing stones constantly inspire the imagination and on this tour you get to see not just one, but two of these amazing constructs.
And it doesn’t stop with these monuments. Many know the Cotswolds as a place of quintessential beauty and it’s time for you to see for yourself. From movie set locations to fascinating history, you’ll love exploring this beautiful region.

- tpbel0 contributionsLovely day out of BristolI have travelled with Rabbie’s many times in the UK and this trip did not disappoint. A lovely day spent in the Cotswolds and then Oxford. A good amount of time was given to explore at each stop. I find Rabbie’s excellent value for money and will travel with them again soon.Written 29 November 2024
- AdGill0 contributionsGreat hotelKaren was brilliant as was night duty manager. Brilliant all around, no complaints at all. We will return again, A+++++Written 25 October 2024
- Wayne T0 contributionsGreat ExperienceThis was our first bus tour and a very enjoyable experience due in large part to our extraordinary tour guide Kate. She was knowledgeable, personable, engaging and endlessly patient. We would have rated this tour a 5 if it were not for the discomfort of the bus. We are both tall people and found the seating configuration challenging. Kate and our traveling companions were very accommodating but you need to consider that not all travellers are small.Written 4 October 2024

He shared with us a lot about the places we were visiting & allowed us to freely ask questions. It was a small group of 10. We enjoyed our time.Written 26 September 2024

Our tour guide, Dan was very informative, not only about the places we visited but he also told us useful things along the way to the Oxford & Cotswold. - Kerry C0 contributionsFantastic. Small bus manoeuvred down all the gorgeous lanes of CornwallAlan our driver/ guide was very knowledgeable about this area and took us to little surprise beaches and locations off the beaten track. Very friendly and funny guy who had us all organised and sorted with toilet locations, places to grab a bite to eat at each stop. Such gorgeous locations and my husband and I loved the 16 seater Mercedes van that was small enough for Alan to manoeuvrearound those tight Cornwall lanes with great skill. The beaches and villages in Cornwall and Tintagel were stunning. Could charge devices on bus, an added bonusWritten 5 June 2024
- U6379QGhelenm0 contributionsBrilliant an absolute must doI would highly recommend this tour , you get to go to two amazing towns , and you get time to go to wells cathedral , and Glastonbury abbey , the cider tasting experiance was good . The last stop cheddar gorge was amasing , I went to the caves , which was an unforgettable experiance .i also had time to go to the shops there too. On the journey the guide talks about all the history of the places , and plays good music associated with the towns. Loved it,Written 5 November 2023
- Safari137591998900 contributionsAn amazing trip by Rabbie'sWe toured with Rabbie’s from Bristol to the south of Wales...what an amazing trip! We enjoy the small group tours for many reasons: comfort, ability to go a bit off the beaten track, and the camaraderie with fellow travelers and the driver/guide. From along the southern coast of Wales out to St Davids and then back again through the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, we visited many incredible places. Our driver/guide Kate was a delight. She was one of the most friendly, knowledgeable, and interesting people you could ever meet! She was also a very skilled driver and could navigate tiny backroads while telling fascinating history and tales. Kate, thank you so much for making our trip so incredibly fun!Written 20 September 2023
- Safari137591998900 contributionsAn amazing trip by Rabbie'sWe toured with Rabbie's from Bristol to Cornwall and Devon...what an amazing trip! We enjoy the small group tours for many reasons: comfort, ability to go a bit off the beaten track, and the camaraderie with fellow travelers and the driver/guide. Cornwall and Devon are very beautiful and we visited many incredible places; I cannot choose a favorite. Read the Rabbie's itinerary and go! Our driver/guide Barney is one of the most friendly, knowledgeable, and interesting people you could ever meet! He is also a very skilled driver and can navigate tiny hedged backroads while telling fascinating history and tales. Barney, thank you for making our trip so incredibly fun!Written 20 September 2023
- Extraordinary5267370 contributionsThe tour operator was good but the stops and time spent places were not what i expected.Disappointing amount of time in Falmouth also paid to go to Tintagel Castle we ended up only having an hour and 15 minutes here. Not enough timeWritten 20 September 2023
- Freedom2105230 contributionsMagic all the wayRecently, I returned from my holidays; it was a memorable experience. We were a small group of eight who bonded well during the trip, and Barny, our skipper, made everything perfect! ‘Barny the Bard’ is full of stories; we heard about Lorna Doone, Tom Faggus and his strawberry mare Winnie, Jamaica Inn, Mary Anning, and not to forget, the temperamental cows, among others. We enjoyed great music on our way, too; got loads of information on local celebrated singers, bands and their performances. We enjoyed Cornish dancing at the Front pub in Falmouth; some of us even joined in with the local dancers and John! Kudos to you all! Those of us too timid to explore or exhibit our ‘hidden talents’ tapped our feet to the lively music. This trip was not about going from point A to B, but truly a unique, culturally enriching experience. We could connect to the significance, cultural history and vibe of the places that we visited, thanks to Barny. My visit to the Minack theatre was a tranquil therapeutic treat sitting on the steps, looking out into the ocean, so were the wild, enticing moors and Haytor. Lyme Regis invigorated the Jane Austen connection to my core. The villages on the way and those we visited were picturesque and enchanting. Even the weather was exceptionally gracious! We had a couple of senior members in our group, and Barny took utmost care to make the trip comfortable and enjoyable for them. All I can suggest is that Rabbie’s can make it a weeklong trip to allow time around the Devon cliffs. It was a great experience and will remain vivid in our memories. I would highly recommend this trip to my friends and colleagues.Written 19 September 2023

The tour was very well-organized and executed (exactly as laid out in the itinerary) and altogether the places we visited made for an interesting day tour. Our guide, Alan, was exceptional and entertained us throughout the day with interesting stories and funny anecdotes related to the places we visited. We had rather miserable weather but Alan did his best to compensate with his sense of humour and by making sure we got warm and dry quickly each time we got back in the minibus. We had the right amount of time at each stop to wander around, Alan gave us clear guidance and information what to check out. He also accompanied us in one of the places and pointed out everything worth seeing and all the interesting details. I would highly recommend Rabbie's tours based on my experience.

This tour was the highlight of our Bristol trip! Stonehenge was gorgeous & the villages we visited were great too!
Our guide Allan was funny, friendly & he really brought the history of the places we visited alive with his energy. We saw so many places & sceneries we wouldn't have without him and this whole tour, so we can really recommend this experience!

We did this trip and had a great time. It was nice having a small group in a very comfortable small van/bus. Barnie, our tour guide, was fantastic! He started off the morning right away, getting to know each of us, which actually helped all of us get to know one another. While Stonehenge is just a bunch of rocks, it is still very cool to think how they created it 5000 years ago and to actually be in the place that you've seen pictures of all of your life. There is also a great little museum there. The second stop of the day was Avebury, which was another much larger location of neolithic rocks, but we could have done without it. We would much rather have spent more time in the Cotswolds. The afternoon was spent in two different Cotswolds villages, which were very beautiful and welcoming. Barnie gave us a lot of information in between stops and was there to help with whatever we needed throughout the day. It was a great time!

Had an excellent trip on a blustery Sunday with congenial, informed and entertaining Alan who was the perfect guide and host. Key stops were Stonehenge, Avebury, Lacock village and Castle Combe village, the two villages providing picture perfect snapshots of traditional English small towns and not surprisingly the sets for some major film productions. Alan’s insights into these and the many other places we passed through added depth and richness to the tour with a few diversions and photo stops as we navigated through Cotswold villages and discovered snippets of history - chalk horses, an original coaching inn, identifying signatures on thatched rooves, repurposed phone booths and so much more. Good time allowed for each stop, although we would have preferred longer at Stonehenge as the main draw card for the trip and perhaps shave 10 minutes off Avebury and Lacock. But the 90 minutes at the henge was still great.
An excellent day out with a great guide who was also a safe and thoughtful driver. It was also good to have a group who were all punctual so that we could make the most of this packed itinerary.

This is my second Rabbies tour in the UK. Had a top notch tour guide named Alan. Everything a tour guide should be; knowledgeable (local), extremely accommodating, jokes for days, tips for what to look for and see on free time and clear instructions for rendezvous to meet back at the coach. The English countryside is absolutely picturesque. Looking forward to my next Rabbies tour.

I am 64yrs old & travelled to Bristol from Manchester for a long weekend with my cousin who is of a similar age. We stayed at the Clayton Hotel in the city centre which was excellent 👌. The room was clean /comfortable & the facilities throughout were excellent. All the staff were professional, courteous, helpful & friendly.
During our stay we walked all around this amazing city, with its historical buildings, visiting various places of interest including the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
We ate at various restaurants which we thoroughly enjoyed & went for a day trip to Bath which again was very enjoyable.

We had a great day on our trip with Dan. A couple of us went as we wanted to recommend this to our language school students, and we could clearly see that Dan was very experienced and adjusted his language for everyone on-board that may have different levels of English. I feel like I learned a lot on the trip and can't wait to recommend this to the students!

Our tour guide Barney was great! We had 5 family members traveling together and we had a fantastic time on the tour. The flow of the tour was nicely spaced, we didn't feel rushed at any of the stops. We've already recommended to other family members if they are ever in town so highly recommended!
