- LWMat0 contributionsExcellent a highlight of BristolExcellent guided walk around Bristol. Theresa was so knowledgeable and kind and caring with our group. A key highlights of our trip. Highly recommendedWritten 2 December 2024
- joeldenno0 contributionsInformative and Fun City TourOur guide, Mike, was very engaging and knowledgeable. He got to know the tourists and tailored his commentary to the things that he thought that they would find interesting. It was great to see parts of the city that we would have missed on our own and we especially enjoyed being shown the street art. One of the things that I found particularly powerful about Mike's presentation, was the way in which he used the plural pronoun 'we' whenever he spoke about the city's historical links to the slave trade. This was thought-provoking and reminded me that all of us share some of the responsibility for and burden of the darker episodes in this country's past.Written 28 November 2024
- Lesliejones50 contributionsWould highly recommendThis tour was a fascinating introduction to Bristol’s history, art, culture and more... A big thank you to Luke who was a really engaging tour guide! I would highly recommend this as a day visitor or for the start of your stay in Bristol as there were lots of interesting places that you could explore further if you had time.Written 22 November 2024
- BazLoz0 contributionsGreat Walking TourThoroughly engaging throughout the two hours with Mike. Informative in a non history school teacher kind of way! Regularly amusing, too. We are out-of-towners, but our Bristol hosts (residents 10 years) found much they didn't know either. Fully recommended, and great value for money.Written 16 November 2024

We had a wonderful afternoon tour of the city showing us streets, paths and alleyways we would never had found. The guides knowledge of the street art, architecture and history was well presented in his tour. Very friendly guide and would highly recommend the tour, he was funny, informative and answered any questions the group had (he also eats cream teas the Devon way which is a plus !!! lol) We only wish we had taken the tour sooner and he also point out lots of things to do of interest and lots of hidden gems we would never have found.
He walked at the pace of the group and left us plenty of time to look, question and take photos and didn't feel rushed at all. Excellent and thank you for a wonderful afternoon :)

We were visiting Bristol for a weekend, saw the tour advertised, enjoy walking and signed up. It was one of the highlights of our weekend. From the first Luke was genuinely pleased to meet us all, had obviously researched the tour well, and had a brilliant sense of humour. The historical detail was interspersed with quirky information - who knew Bristol time used to be behind London time! Great to learn about the history of the street art and see many examples of it. Very interesting information regarding the varying architectural styles - a real bonus for a civil engineer! Being introduced to the City in this way has inspired us to make a return trip to Bristol to see more in the very near future.

My partner and I went on this tour on a Sunday morning, the weather wasn’t amazing but we quickly forgot about our cold toes when the amazing tour guide started speaking.
He was very knowledgeable and filled the two hours with fun stories and mysterious tales of Bristol. This tour was a lot better than I anticipated it would be and I would recommend it to anyone who is visiting Bristol.
Even after the tour we asked our guide where to get the best roast in town and he suggested a lovely pub that did not disappoint.
His local knowledge was obviously very good which was expected but his clear love for his job is what makes the tour a must do :)

Luke Sergeant (our guide) greeted us like old friends. His sense of humor as he showed us areas of Bristol, that I did not know existed! (For 8 years I have been a resident) He told us about a wide range of Bristol's history, buildings, and Street Art, during this 2 hour tour. When it was concluded, he was happy to stay on to answer questions before we dispersed.

We had a soggy start to the tour. The weather was really wet and windy, but our spirits were soon lifted by Luke (our tour guide) and his engaging personality and entertaining stories of Bristol, past and present. The history and variety of architectural styles was the perfect introduction to the city. Street art is an important modern day aspect of Bristol and shows the eclectic personality of this very left field city.
This tour is thoroughly recommended.

This was an excellent walking tour. Lots of art work just off the beaten track but which you wouldn't see normally. Duncan was a mine of information and gave us loads of interesting facts.
Unfortunately we did this tour the day we were returning home, so we couldn't benefit from our new knowledge of Bristol. We had tried to book an earlier day but it was sold out, although, mysteriously, there was no sign of any group gathering outside the Cathedral that day. Also our group started with 20 which grew to about 40 at various times. Still, a very enjoyable two hours.

The tour was well worthwhile, not only from a visitor's point of view ( we're here from British Columbia to be with family and grandchildren) but would recommend Bristolians also give it a go. So many interesting facts and back stories.
Luke was our guide and acquainted us,not only with a few facts about Bristol and street art that we were vaguely familiar with, but with many more that we were not. Plus, and this is important , he shared his enthusiasm for good eating and drinking establishments that were part of Bristol's fabric.
Who would have thought you could create an echo while standing between 2 buildings in one of Bristol side streets? He made the 2 hour tour both fun and fascinating plus his voice projected well despite traffic noise. Would thoroughly recommend this tour ,easy walking and the 2 hours flew by. Thanks Luke!

We did this fantastic walking tour yesterday with our 7, 10 and 12 year olds - we all absolutely loved it! The 2 hour tour was packed with so much fascinating and entertaining information, told with real passion for the City. Even my aunt who accompanied us and has lived in Bristol for over 30 years (with a keen interest in local history) learned several new things. We really would highly recommend it for young and old, whether you’re new to Bristol or think you already know it well.

The guide was a good speaker but did not check tickets so anyone who had not paid could turn up. He seemed to go through the motions, did not engage with anyone and looked after his phone or use his well worn jokes. Also a group if 2t to 30

I have never done a walking tour before so wasn’t sure what to expect. It was fantastic, lots of history, lots of amazing architecture abs dollops of humour.
Luke is engaging, funny and really knowledgeable I would highly recommend anyone visiting the area to do this on the first day so you have a feel for the city. He also points out places to eat / shop / generally have fun!
Thanks Luke, Helen and I loved your tour :)
