About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- hannahlW3068XF0 contributionsSo fun!I went with Pascal and it was a wonderful trip! He was very knowledgeable and amiable to minor changes in the plan! All of the sites were so beautiful Overall a wonderful trip and well worth it!Written 16 December 2024
- 553yvettea0 contributionsWorst Day Trip! This tour was not as promoted. Vehicle old with a driver that coughed all the way. Trip to waterfall was 1 hr. Water fall was a 20 min walk down and 20 min back up and down steps with a good guide. Waterfall well worth visiting. Nice swim. Trip to rangko was 1.5 hours, wait 15 min for boat. 15 min boat ride to cave which was underwhelming at best.Cave was not worth the time.At this stage we left this over rated tour.Compete waste of money and time.Written 2 November 2024
- richardbN7007JT0 contributionsExpensive, but beautiful spots.Reasonable tour overall. We only got around 25 mins in the water per each of the three locations we stopped at. Which doesn't sound like much and was less than stated in the advertised suggested itinerary, but it turned out to be enough. Keep your expectations in check for the statues: it's crowded and over quite quickly. I must say I have done equivalent tours in Thailand that were better and half the price per person of this one. But I suppose with a driver and harbour ferry included is not so bad. But beware: these guys are running a bit of a racket. I was a solo traveller and you cannot book for less than 2 people, despite the snorkelling component being a group tour. I would be happy paying a little premium for a solo traveller to make it worth the driver's while, but flat out double rate paying for a full two people is a bit rich. Especially considering those joining from Gili T paid around 1/3 of this online price.Written 10 October 2024
- 122jonathana0 contributionsDo not use these peopleTerrible service. Ferry was 1.5 hours late with no information or explanation. We had paid for fast boat Bangsal-Padang Bai but it was an old boat and took 2.5 instead of 1.5 hrs. The luggage also got soaked. Never use this company.Written 5 October 2024
- M7772PLandreac0 contributionsGreat snorkeling adventureStaff were informative, helpful and enthusiastic. Our group swam with the Mantas, saw coral and reef fish and even a couple of dolphins. Everything the brochure promised! A very fun and enjoyable 3-4 hours.Written 18 September 2024
- tcarrafa0 contributionsGreat experience and good valueMy 19yo daughter and I really enjoyed the snorkelling trip. It was fully booked so lots of us but it was well run and the staff were professional and kept us informed as to the itinerary etc. We saw plenty of beautiful fish, coral and turtles. Fortunately it was a sunny, calm day. The first stop was busy with other boats snorkelling at the same spot but the next 2 spots were much quieter. We chose to eat elsewhere at our lunch stop at Gili Air because where we were dropped off it was our whole boat load of people plus other companies all eating at the same place. We took the opportunity to look around the island a bit and go somewhere quieter to eat. I would recommend this company as it was good value and a great day out.Written 23 August 2024
- walker520200 contributionsSnorkelling Gili T4 hours were plenty to see turtles fish and statues. Hotel organised so don’t know the provider but everyone ended up in similar area. Had a guide who did go-pro and we got som fabulous photos to keep our memories. Recommended for anyone even if you wanted to stay on the surface, the views were amazing.Written 3 July 2024
- yasminemD1405IL0 contributionsHot Air Balloon is a must try acitivity at Ubud!Riding a Hot Air Balloon was thrilling yet exciting! This was worth it as it is a once in a lifetime experience. It was a little scary at first, but once I reached to the top; the view was breathtaking. However, the Hot Air Balloon can only be experienced in pleasent weathers (not windy/raining). The driver was also very kind and welcoming. Not only that, the afternoon tea was delicious as well. What a lovely way to spend time at Ubud!Written 1 March 2024
- donnastacey0 contributionsIt’s a Beautiful Overcrowded ant hill! This place is totally overcrowded with day tourists. You are herded about from the 4 sites (which are beautiful) the roads are one way bumper to bumper horrendous traffic, and lots of stairs so you must be fully able bodied. Ok day trip but would never stay.Written 26 December 2023

Our guide Ryo and driver Eric were extremely generous in showing us their incredible homeland and sharing their wonderful Batak culture with us.Written 5 October 2023
- annacU4992RM0 contributionsWonderful snorkelling experience!!Fantastic experience!! Highly recommend. Wonderful experience for my daughter who had never snorkelled with manta ray or in coral before. Attentive friendly staff, well organised and efficient, good safety measures taken. Punctual morning pick up from hotel. Three snorkel sites - manta point, wall, coral reef - all beautiful. The trip finishes with a review of photos and videos taken of the trip with an option to purchase.Written 14 August 2023
- sscdjo0 contributionsSemaya One is not the boat the go onBooked via 12GO (a reliable Philippine booking agency) to Gili Air The fast boat is not as expensive as the others and it is better to go with Blue water Express or another reliable fast boat company. A 3 hour journey took over 5 hrs stopping at 3 the islands. We sat for nearly an hour at one where we change boats and waited till they repaired one of the motors. They do not tell you anything and many people were confused. The boat did not have a toilet (locked), aircon or any light refreshments. The journey back was a little better taking 3.5 hours with a couple of stops On the island the boat agent is never there unless a boat is coming in Not worth it.Written 10 July 2023
- R4179GPcherylw0 contributionsAmazingThe whole experience was fantastic. Our guides Irwin and Alfred were very organised and made sure we all had the best time and were looked after throughout. The food was great, the accommodation was faultless. All the crew were great. I would highly recommend this trip.Written 9 July 2023

- meredithb7820 contributionsSuper authentic and adventurous! We had Mr. Wawan as our local driver and guide. He was amazing! He gave us such an authentic experience. He suggested other additional stops such as the pottery market.which was awesome.. we got to make our own clay masterpiece .Wawan was very kind and easy going. The snorkeling was also very easy and beautiful at Gili Naangu, however there wasn’t instruction on how to snorkel so be prepared, you won’t be babysat! Wawan allowed us to take all the time we needed at the following islands with a lunch already prepared of fish, rice and soup. Overall, it felt adventurous and we loved discovering the smaller more secret islands. 10/10 would recommend!Written 28 June 2023

It is an amazing tour with lots of snorkelling activities. Once in a life time trip and thank you for our friendly guides, Piscal and Carlos and his team. Special thanks to Stefan who accompanies us while we are snorkelling. We had a chance to experience swimming with Manta Rays . Highly recommended!

Amazing trips. Very helpful guides. Saw loads of dragon's. Only down side was the travel agent. She would literally show up at the beginning of the day, take the money for entrance fees and go. Very little communication about pick up times or schedules.

Writing this as I am finishing up the tour.
Booked this trip the week before with hopes of seeing Komodo and Rinca.
Everything they say is included is true. The park fees may surprise you. Personally I thought going to the park on Rinca Island and subsequently the next day Komodo was a little redundant but perhaps that's just me.
My first day my guide was a nice woman named Rose and her company "D Tour". However the next day my tour was with personnel from "East Cruise Company". I think they just merged several groups together into a massive tour group for the second day. Not necessarily a bad thing just a little surprised.
Recommend bringing your own snorkel gear because you and I don't know when the last time they sanitized/cleaned the gear was.
Also bring snacks on the second (full) day trip- because we were picked up early, we had to get boxes breakfasts from our hotel. That consisted of 4 pieces of bread, some jelly, and a piece of cheese. Hiking up Pendar only left me thinking of food rather than the gorgeous view.
Also bring shoes for short treks (esp. the Pendar Island day) cause you will be hiking up and down some rocky paths to get to viewpoints.
The staff were very kind throughout (and probably the best part about) the trip, making sure everyone (dis/)embarks safely, supplying water/snacks. The two boats I experienced had indoor seating as well as a few seats at the top behind the captain. I saw some other not-in-my-group tourists in small, uncovered (no shade) boats which would have been brutal given the sun and lack of clouds.
Overall it was enjoyable but given the chance, I wouldn't do it again. The islands become crowded from other fellow tourists. If crowds bother you, this isn't the tour for you. Unfortunately there really isn't another way to see Komodo/Rinca without a tour.
If you're Open Water Diver certified, I'd recommend going on a live aboard instead. More expensive but also a much more intimate/wholesome experience.

Dear Customer,
We are vert appreciate for your value time to review this tours.
As our description on site, actually you will not supprise about the entrance to komodo island as we have mention clearly on the site that this tours is not include entrance fee to komodo island and also mention this is a group tours about 35 person per boat.
that is why we can offer more effordable price.
Live aboard package is also other option to enjoy komodo island as far as you feel comfortable to stay and eat all the time oboard.
Thank you

Wonderful tour with D-Tour Cruises booked through tripadvisor who were OK to deal with, though not sure why they call it a 3 day tour when you actually only did 1 1/2 days on the cruises sightseeing. D-Tours were excellent with great people and staff giving you loads of amazing adventures beyond expectation. Motel Kalton I stayed in was nice with very helpful staff, so overall it was a great experience which I would recommend to travelers looking to go and see Komodo Dragons, beautiful beaches and a great day on the harbors boating.

The idea of booking this trip was just to save some time while booking all of the things I wanted to see in LBJ. I really wanted to see the Flying Foxes AND the Komodo Island, so that was a must for me. Two days before the tour, my flight was cancelled, and I told the agency about it, and they told me that even though I was arriving late, I could still join the tour. On the morning of the flight (and the tour), I got a message that told me that the boat was broken and therefore I could not do what was planned for that day (Kelor Island, Manjarite Beach and Kalong (Flying Foxes) Island).
They ended up sending me on another tour where I didn't enjoy much and that was way cheaper than what I've already paid (even though my driver, Mario, was adorable) and I got really frustrated that they could've told me that I should just get earlier flights instead of just saying that everything was ok. As I said before, if they were honest with me, I would've just got another flight. But in the end, I didn't do what I really wanted to do and ended up paying for something that I didn't get.
The second day went smoothly, with a great tour company called East Cruise Komodo, and everyone on the boat was AMAZING. I loved every second of it. Faris (I guess that's his name) was beyond great and made sure that my day was memorable. He works for East Cruise Komodo and he's the only reason this rating got a 3 out of 5 (otherwise, would be 1 out of 5).
What I would advise people is to just fly to LBJ and book directly there. I'm sure you'll find cheaper prices and better options.

Komodo Island retains its original style, and the new life includes Chanel Bay, sea snorkeling and swimming with stingrays, snorkeling on pristine beaches, and you can see many different corals, tropical fish, and various starfish. The itinerary also includes an island hopping trip and a private speedboat ride to watch the 40-minute bat sunset.
