Great day tour to the lovely Yarra Valley, made even better by our excellent tour guide, Bill. Knowledge and professional, Bill kept us entertained for the whole 8 hours. Tasted 13 different wines at 3 different wineries. Had good lunch, including a kangaroo dish. Small 6 person group was a nice size for this trip. Highly recommend.

A little gem of a shop with bargain prices
This is a vintage shop withbargain prices. I bought American football shirts for my son to wear at the gym. Also bought a vintage Minnie Mouse jumper. The shop was very busy but the young man took the time to create a seat for me as I had an injured ankle. He was friendly and very helpful as some of the sizing is not UK sizes. This shop is in a part of Brighton most tourists miss and yet it is closest street next to Brighton train station. 100 Trafalgar Street Brighton. .

Koalas, food, wine, and a great time!
Nikki is an experienced and knowledgeable guide who took our small group to Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park where we had a koala encounter. Due to timing constraints, we weren't sure we'd be able to get up close and personal with a koala, but Nikki helped make it happen. We then went to Merrick’s General Store for lunch and wine tasting - what a great little spot to discover! The flounder was the best I've ever had. Nikki shared interesting facts and stories along the drive that enriched our experience. She also went out of her way to meet a special request from another guest looking for a souvenir. I had a great day and highly recommend booking one of her tours - better than the excursion options offered by our cruise company. A+ all the way.

        Great experience
We toured Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsular over 2 days with this company. It was. an outstanding experience! Great wineries and spectacular lunches. They did a great job educating us about the area, making sure we saw what we wanted to see (great kangaroo viewing), and in general showing us a good time. They were attentive but didn't hover! Highly recommend!

Wonderful tour to Yarra Valley. Nicci was delightful and very informative. We were able to visit 3 distinctively different wineries that gave us a great sample of what the region has to offer. I would highly recommend!

        Great day out!
What a way to enjoy the Mornington Peninsula! We were picked up right outside our hotel in the CBD which was really convenient then continued on the tour to the Peninsula. Had an amazing time and stopped at many wineries all with great wine. The tour guide was very knowledgeable which made the experience even better! All in all this tour is a great way to experience what the winemakers of Mornington Peninsula have to offer and definitely a trip worth doing!

        Amazing day on the peninsula
Amazing planning and execution. Great communication in the lewd up to my wife’s birthday trip. We err challenged by Covid but they came through. The transportation was excellent and the winery relationships a big plus. Flexible in our plans during the day and never felt rushed. Recommended a cooking class for lunch which was a great treat. Will absolutely return and next time with friends.

What a great tour! Nikki was fantastic, very knowledgeable and professional! Was a pleasure being with her and the small group, the cellar door, (tasting rooms) were very accommodating. There were wines at each stop that everyone liked, and the food was excellent. The Epicurean Tour group are great ambassadors for Melbourne and Australia! Thanks!

There are not many options if one wants to do the Mornington Peninsula in a day - joining a tour group surely must be the best way to cover this expansive area. We are very pleased we chose Epicurean Food & Wine Tours. Our guide, Nikki, was excellent - she has a detailed knowledge of the Mornington wineries and the wine industry in general, Melbourne restaurants & just about everything that could make the tour informative and enjoyable. Nikki steered us towards an interesting selection of wineries, so the wineries we experienced were smart boutique; traditional but quirky; an ultra chic hotel/winery; and the new Point Leo estate with its vast sculpture park.
We were given generous tastings at each of the 4 cellar doors, and enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Jackalope Winery/Hotel's restaurant, the Rare Hare.
Very comfy ride in Nikki's Mercedes van. Definitely recommend this tour!

We visited four wineries: Yabby Lake Vineyard, which I found fairly uninspiring despite their many awards (and the somewhat disinterested staff); Quealy Winemakers, which was the most exciting in terms of the interesting grapes and blends they use and the enthusiasm of the staff; Stonier Wines, which I thought were offering the best Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs of the day; and Willow Creek Vineyard which also had some wonderful Chardonnay. Whilst the winery visits were on the whole good, I felt that we could have been provided with much more background information about wine growing in the local area. We stopped after the third winery for lunch at ‘Is Blue’, which was quite dreadful. I often visit wine regions to sample the local products, and usually one of the highlights of the day is the lunch- in this case exactly the opposite was true - do Epicurean Tours really think that people who have an interest in wine (and presumably food also) would be happy with eating in such a dreadful place, especially when there were lovely restaurants in some of the wineries we visited for the tastings. The moral of this story is to ask where you will lunch before booking this tour.

Our tour is friendly and relaxed, enjoyed by people wanting to try wine from a different side of the world, get to know wineries and their stories with an open mind and fun spirit. I knew this was not going to be the tour for you when I was greeted rudely at the start of the day when calling to advise where I was parked outside your hotel. The day of your tour was Fathers Day and we opened the day up for you David, asking another single guest to change her date so you could visit what you thought was the only region to taste Pinot Noir. I organised this just a few days prior so advance booking at our usual lunch venue was not an option. I spent a lot of time talking about Father's Day in a boutique wine region with you, loved by locals where lunch at wineries is a popular event. We could have sat down at our usual lunch venue at 2pm, getting there at 130pm but you had said this was too late. (I agreed) Our first time to this lunch venue and a very big mistake of mine that I was not aware of the standard. I failed again by not offering a refund for this component to you, immediately. It was a shame there was only one more lovely guest that joined us, as a few more would have been interested in your wine country travel and made the day more rewarding for you. Unfortunately the Japanese lady's english vocab wouldn't extend to clones and whole bunch pressed discussion that you felt was lacking. Our winery partners did a sterling job introducing their wine and talking about the winery. That is a great moral advice of your story that you are passing on to the TripAdvisor touring community on asking about a lunch venue. We really have taken your comments on board and if we can't book our usual lunch venues will definitely notify guests of this so thank you. It is important that I have the opportunity to defend our business reputation with detailed context. We don't aim for average. In hindsight, (that wonderful thing) we should have not gone ahead with the tour on Fathers Day a few days out so thank you again for your comments. Happy Travels David.

Our tour guide, Bill is awesome. He is very knowledgeable and he gave us his full attention in looking out for us throughout the tour. (ie, sheltering us in the rain, asking how is the lunch and wines we tasted)

We have make a total of 5 visits and each of these places are unique and beautiful in its own way. Lunch was served at Rare Hare which is a pretty awesome place where you get to dine infront of a huge vineyard plus the food is great too!

Thank you so much for making my tour so wonderful and fun together with the rest of my tour mates.

I will definitely bring my friends along again for this tour!

      Thank you Bill!

Our host Nicci met us at the hotel and we were extremely impressed the tour went ahead despite being just the two of us. And so began our day of delight! Each of the wineries we visited were unique in their own right. Not only visually stunning but warm and inviting. The wines tasted were of the highest quality and with Nicci as our guide we were indulged in a day of regional wine expertise as well as local knowledge. The highlight for us was visiting the eco winery Quealy - off the grid, rustic and a generous sharing of knowledge from the host, with unique wines. Lunch at the Rare Hare was sublime! As visitors from Brisbane looking for a unique and personable experience, this went beyond our expectations and was the highlight of our holiday. We will definitely do other tours with Epicurean when visiting again and we recommend whole heartedly this tour experience.
      Thank you Nicci!

My partner and I went on this trip to learn more about wine, and were thrilled with the level of expertise that Nicci and the winemakers could share with us while also making the experience accessible to us with less experience. Lunch was incredible at a restaurant with shared dishes that made for a friendly, engaging atmosphere. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone!

We were picked-up promptly from our Apartment by the cheery Bill whom was very pleasant to be around for the day.
We went to Yabby Lake Vineyard first and the lady that took the tasting was very inviting and we tried some great wines (everyone in our group of 6 purchased here), then we went on to Quealy Winery and this was for me my favourite tasting overall. Loved their Rosa (a very unique wine, nothing like I've ever tasted). Everyone else enjoyed and purchased here too. The lunch Winery - Willow Creek was very plush in many ways (architecture/interior/gardens etc) The Rare Hare (Restaurant) did a lovely lunch, although I probably wouldn't race back there. We went to Port Phillip Estate Winery last and this was top-notch in many ways. Excellent tasting, stunning views, pleasurable Hostess and great wines.
We finished-of the day with a small tasting at a requested Vineyard and some sightseeing, which was lovely.
Overall a fantastic day out meeting some lovely people and tasting many different wines. Well worth the money spent!

I joined this tour last Sunday in a very small group (me and a couple from Canada) and we spent a fantastic day in 5 different but very nice wineries in Mornington Peninsula tasting a lot of different wines produced in that area with different methods and feeling also the passion that they put in the wine production. Lunch also was very good. Nicci is a fantastic guide, she told us a lot of things about wines, wineries and about the peninsula. I've really enjoyed this day.
