Full-Day Cape Point and Peninsula Tour from Cape Town
From USD 92.39
Explore the natural treasures of Cape Peninsula and Cape Point on a full-day tour from Cape Town. Visit highlights such as Hout Bay, Good Hope Nature Reserve, Simons Town, Boulders Penguin Colony, and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, stopping at picturesque seaside villages and beaches along the way.
What to Expect
After morning pickup at your hotel in Cape Town, travel by air-conditioned minivan through Sea Point, Clifton, and Camps Bay as you depart the city.
Soak in the views from the Llandudno lookout point then continue to the picturesque seaside village of Hout Bay. Have the option to upgrade for a boat trip to Seal Island (at own expense, weather and season permitting), where thousands of cape fur seals and seabirds live.
Follow the gorgeous coastal route through Chapman’s Peak to Cape Point and the Good Hope Nature Reserve. The area features endemic antelope species and zebra, abundant birds, fynbos vegetation, historic lighthouses, and shipwrecks.
Have lunch at a nearby restaurant (not included) then head to Simon’s Town, a historic village with Victorian architecture and a penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Stroll along wooden walkways at the Boulders Penguin Colony to view African penguins.
Next up, learn about South Africa's rich plant life at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, set against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. After strolling through the gardens, your tour ends with return to Cape Town in the late afternoon.

A must do tour if in Cape Town

You need a full day if you want to get to the Cape Point, see the penguins, taste some wine and even consider the botanical gardens. Takes about 9-10 hours to do it properly without wasting time on long restaurant meals. Note that hotels charge...More

Fabulous tour - we saw so much in one day!

This was a really great tour. Our guide was Riaan and the bus driver was Necail. I can't believe we saw so much. There were about 14 of us which was a nice number, not a huge coach load. We drove along the coast and...More
