Surfing Lessons in Cape Town
From USD 40.94

It’s possible to learn to surf by renting a board and falling off a lot. But that’s time-consuming and tiring, with a high failure rate. Learn to ride the Atlantic’s thrilling waves the easy way, with a professional team of instructors. Wetsuit and board hire are included in the price, while lessons are suitable for ages four to 84: you just need to be healthy and able to swim.

What to Expect
Your surf lesson will take place at Small Bay beach which is in Blouberg. Please meet the surf coaches at their mobile surf kiosk which is situated opposite the famous "Blue Peter Restaurant" at the bottom by "De Mist Street." This is where the surf team operate from for you to sign indemnity and to grab your wetsuits. You are welcome to leave your belongings with the crew so that they can take care of it for you while you are in the water. Just look out for a big blue surf box on wheels in the parking area. Your destination is only a 20 minute drive from Cape Town Central on the beautiful West Coast. It is a fantastic location to learn the nuances of surfing. This location also offers restaurants and shops overlooking the Majestic Atlantic Ocean across from Table Mountain. Whether you are on holiday or want to try something exciting, we invite you to have fun and seek adventure with your surfing lessons.

Kids aged 4 and up, teenagers and adults are all very welcome to join and learn how to surf as long as you are able to swim. Spaces are limited. It is advised to book in advance if you are looking for some fun, action and adventure. Afterwards you can stay around to enjoy the atmosphere of Eden On The Bay, a 1 minute walk on the beach next to Small Bay. Sip on cocktails or grab a meal to eat as you watch the beautiful sunset over Table Bay (own expense).

Friendly people on a superb location

Had a surfing lesson with Adriaan, super friendly teacher. I had little experience and he took his time to explain the basics, find a good surf and help me catch some waves. Next time in Cape Town I will definitely visit again. Thanks Adriaan!
