Brilliant day out. Lot’s of different planes to see.
Nov. 2021
Brilliant day out. Lot’s of different planes to see. Good for kids to learn about history. All the staff had masks on and covid screens were still in place that was really nice to see. Shame most of the visitors were not wearing masks though.

Great place to visit
Great place to visit. Not too much walking. And if your disabled you can use one of there scooters. Free to get in but you pay for parking which is reasonably priced. Shop and cafe not too pricey. There is another cafe that is quite pricey. Very interesting place to visit. I was the only one in my family who hadn’t been.

A fantastic museum with wonderful staff
May 2021 • Couples
This is a fantastic air museum it has a huge array of exhibits from pre WW1 through to modern day and includes a Lancaster, Flying Fortress, Mosquito, Vulcan and many, many others.

You could easily spend 3 or 4 hours here and still not absorb everything.

We were booked in from 15:00 to closing time at 17:00 but due to severe traffic problems on the M25 we didn’t arrive until 14:20. We mentioned this in passing conversation to the staff when we arrived and within a few minutes of browsing around a lovely lady called Tracey came and found us and took us on a personal fast track tour of their finest exhibits even letting us climb over the barriers to get a closer look inside some of the aircraft. This kindness is one of the many, many reasons why this gem is such a wonderful place to visit!

Great day out for everyone
Sep. 2020 • Couples
Lovely afternoon out at the museum. There are informative displays and although some restrictions at the moment there was still plenty to see. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend going especially at the moment to support the museum and because it is quite , so no queues. The clearly marked routes mean you do not miss anything. We especially liked seeing the Vulcan bomber, as you can walk under it you really get to appreciate just how big it is.

what a day was supposed to rain but stayed dry what a BENEFIT for the kids and lunch
clean well laid out of all aircraft.
H2 has some speaker background noise my son did not like.
Visual Impairments LOW LEVEL ropes(trip hazard), SYMBOL canes miss these, descriptions unable to read an audible units need to be made available or a phone app made available.

RAF Hendon museum
Dec. 2019 • Family
Brilliant day out viewing both first and second world war planes and vehicles. Very informative without being boring. Lots of interactive elements to keep all ages entertained. Also exhibited modern RAF practices. The special exhibitions were interesting and activity trails for younger children available. Our party was a mix of ages with one wheelchair person and we found accessibility excellent throughout.

Nice cafe and Gift Shop with interesting stock.

Terrific range of aircraft and ancillary displays
A lot has changed inside the display halls and the outside areas over the past few years. Much of the original concepts have remained and are as interesting and insightful as ever. Some of the changes seem a little confused and do not follow an obvious theme but these comments should not detract from an overall special visit.

Amazing aircraft
Apr. 2018
This is one of the best displays of vintage aircraft I have ever seen. Iconic war planes from the early 1900’s onwards to the Falkland conflict. What I enjoyed most was being able to get up very close and in some cases be able to sit in the cockpit.
