Super tour of a beautiful island
The bayseeker tour includes the ferry to and from the island from Hillary's Boat Harbour. The ferry ride takes about 45 minutes each way and we were lucky enough to see whales on the way across and back. This tour gave us about 3 hours free time on the island, plus a 90 minutes bus tour. Glenn our driver was a mine of information about the island, local life and times and made us laugh out loud several times. A super tour of a beautiful island.

Beautiful island and a must see while in Perth
In my opinion Rottnest Island is a must see when in Perth. The little quakkas and beautiful beaches are stunning so having a full day here is a must. This tour offers the ferry (and pick up from Perth city) as well as a bike rental. And while I loved the ferry and the island, I didn’t necessarily enjoy the biking as it was a very hot day. So if I’d go again I would pick to take the hop-on hop-off bus around the island and I would rather take my time on the beaches.

Great trip but check out start point
Check out a better way to start your journey than courtesy coach. Re confirmed 48 hrs B4 is a pain. Very long bus journey. Pick up in street nearby not at our hotel.Dont use Hillary's boat yard if like us you are 15 mins from Perth ferry terminals. Rest of trip was well worth it. Views. History. Guide. Quokkas. Even bumpy ferry ride. Loading those bikes was an art form. Signage on island is not plentiful so don't lose the map.

A good look at a beautiful island.
Rottnest Island is surprisingly large and the bus trip around the island showed off the beauty of the place and its many pretty beaches and clear, turquoise waters.

A day to remember on Rottnest Island.
Mini bus pickup from City to Hillary’s harbour. Excellent diesel train trip to Oliver Hill gun emplacements with full tour of the amazing wartime facility. Lunch supplied then bus trip around the island with full commentary on all the sights and history. Saw a rare Osprey with nest, dugite snakes sunning themselves, friendly lizards, whales and of course the little quokkas. These were common around the commercial area near the harbour!

        Enjoyable Rottnest
A well organised and informative trip. The tour took us all over the beautiful island and made good use of the time. Glad we were on the tour as the weather was very windy which would of made cycling difficult

That was a really good day trip. We got to see all of Rottnest Island. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The ferry ride over was a little bumpy but made it there.

        Well Worth It!
What an absolutely amazing day we had. We were picked up in Perth near to our hotel and got to see the sights to Hillarys Boat Harbour. Had a lovely trip down Sunset Drive. Saw humpback whales on the way to Rottnest. We also purchased the island explorer hop on hop off bus with Rottnest Fast Ferries. A great price for all the inclusions we had.

        Not the best experience.
Had to run from late ferry to tour bus. Bus broken too. Train been broken for weeks, wasn't told till last minute. Didn't see quokka till last hour on island due to tour. Tour guide amateur, rushed. Gun turret interesting.

        Great day on Rottnest
Great day.very easy with complimentary shuttle bus pick up from easy to find pick up point in city.If last tour like us it also includes return shuttle to Perth which is so convenient. Our cray dog lunch was excellent and our Simmos icecream huge and delicious. We saw few Quokkas mainly around the cafe and old settlement buildings. Hop on off bus a little overcrowded we stayed on for the complete loop which proved best choice. Nice day all up.

Great day out. Very informative guide, Glen. Really enjoyed the bus and train trip. Could have spent less time at the gun and more at the light house. Good picnic lunch. Lovely to meet the quokas.

A good coverage on WW11 local history!
Being interested in history this was a must for me. The train was not running so a bus replaced it; no issue really. We done the tour with Ian, it was very enlightening and comprehensive. You get to explore the full complex!

DO NOT book from this company!!!無賴公司,不要預定。

Terrible pickup and no reponse by call during the 20minunites after pickup time, finally we have to cancel the trip. We were at the pickup point on time and did not find a bus with waiting for 10 min. Then we tried to contact them through the booking platform. For 20 min continuous calling, no one responded. (Later I read others’ review about this company, found it is a frequent problem of this company. They hold the call but no one respond.)

The service is not friendly to tourists at all. We tried very hard to catch the trip, including waiting at pickup point and immediately contact them when 10min passed. But because of the POOR service they committed, we cannot do anything more except cancelling. They had all our contact info. A quick message or call, or simply answering our call can make our trip, but they did not.

What’s even worse is finally we got in touch through their feedback form in the evening(which means they even did not notice we were not on board). They deny all the problems of the service, refuse any refund and blame us for their failed pickup.

Finally we found another friendly and higher rate company to make the trip. It was very good. There are a lot of better choices.

Hello Lagzxadr, It seems you are posting your review on every site you can think of. Rottnest Fast Ferries run a courtesy coach into the city to pick up customers from their hotels to our ferry departure point and returns them to their hotel at the end of the day. When you booked your tickets to Rottnest Island, you were contacted by Rottnest Fast Ferries and given a pick up time and were asked to be waiting 5 minutes prior. Our bus driver was at your hotel at the pick up time and waited for several minutes and tried finding you. Unfortunately he had no other choice to keep going to other pick up other customers so they would not miss their day on Rottnest Island. You have been advised that we have a tracker on our coaches that shows the actual time that the driver arrived at your hotel and the time he spent looking for you before having to move on. You have tried to counter this by sending us a photo of yourselves with no date stamp and at a location that is unrecognizable. While we are disappointed that you missed your pickup, if you have made your own way to the departure point by Taxi or Uber, we would have still taken you to the island and dropped you back to your hotel at the end of the day. Your review is not factual and makes a lot of assumptions, you were not at the pick up point at the time given to you, and in order to get all of our other customers on board to our ferry had to leave your hotel approximately 10 minutes after the time you were to be waiting. I really think you should take some personal responsibility for the reason you missed your pick up and the choices you made not to make your own way to Hillarys Boat Harbour, so you could make the morning ferry. You booked your tickets through a third party online operator and only received an email from Rottnest Fast Ferries with your pick up time, I don't really believe you are in a position to review our company at all considering you haven't traveled with us as for some reason you were not at the departure point at the time given to you. Space was reserved for you on our coach and ferry on the day. Regards Phil Richards - Director of Sales and Marketing

This day trip cost around £45 each ($90ish) and we left the Hillarys around 10.00am. The Fast Ferry was busy as it was holiday time, but quick at about 40 minutes. The Island itself has some stunning bays, we set off walking around the northern shore from the Settlement. However, being a still, sunny day the flies were really annoying and extremely persistent, making it quite unpleasant. Fortunately the breeze got up and the problem was much less later in the day, but had it not the day would have been a bit miserable as the insects were constant. We thought about getting the bus South when back at the Settlement around lunchtime, however we didn't realise that the bus only went one way around the Island (anticlockwise) meaning we would run out of time, which was disappointing. However, talking to the Rangers it appeared that they have a series of free 'tours' that they run during the day including a walking 'Quokka tour' which took around 45 minutes around the Settlement and was really informative. It also pointed our popular viewpoints and photo opportunities that we took advantage of. The food and drink in the Settlement was reasonably priced. The dock was extremely busy at 4.30pm with many ferries leaving at exactly the same time (!?). The Fast Ferry we got back was an older one and not as well appointed as the first crossing, but the crossing time was still the same. A reasonable value day out but if you add in the almost necessary bus ticket or bike hire, it could be quite expensive for a family.

The trip back from Rottnest Island was not good, we were one of the last few people to board the ferry and there were no seats available. There could have been seats available but a lot of people put their luggages /backpacks on the seats not thinking about others. I hope the crew members took time to find people seats as we booked the ferry ticket thinking we will have seats guarateed.

Fast Ferries provided a good service and the trip over and back was pleasant. It only takes about 45 mins from Hilary's and staff made sure that we're well looked after. It's quiet on the way over but very busy on the way back.

This was our first visit. I did a little bit of research and decided that the hop on/ hop off bus would be our best option
It was very busy when we first got off the ferry, but after seeing some quokkas we soon got on a bus
The buses were busy but so easy to use. We never waited long for one and we could do as we pleased
What a beautiful place. The beaches were incredible especially Ricey beach. Stunning. It was a beautiful sunny day which helped.
The ferry was a little bumpy on the outward journey, but smooth sailing back.

We enjoyed a perfect day on Rottnest Island. We loved that the 7:30 ferry arrived at 8:15, giving us the opportunity to visit a few beaches while they were still uncrowded/empty. We felt like the timing made our day extra special. The ferry was comfortable, arrived on time and provided a smooth ride. We also purchased the explorer bus pass, which was a perfect option for us.

Booking was easy and there were no issues with us making a couple of changes close to the day. Booked the hop on and hop off bus for 2 days and we lost our second day ticket. One quick call to the office and they emailed an updated confirmation meaning that we did not have to pay again. Highly recommend.

Fantastic whale cruise, the staff were amazing and the marine biologist was really informative and excited for all on board being able to see a Southern Right Whale which has been really unsual to see in this area. The Hump backs were passing by with their calves and smacking their tails close to our boat.
All of the staff were friendly and looked after me really well as I was using a disability scooter.
I would highly recommend this ferry and crew for making one of my bucket list a truly wonderful experience. Will be using Rottnest fast ferries for my next trip to Rottnest,
      Thank you so much
