We had a short time in Quebec City and Xavier was the perfect guide to this beautiful place. His ability to tailor the tour to our interests and past experience made for a hugely enjoyable three hours (3 hours is a minimum to see this properly). His ability to interpret Quebec for us Europeans and give that European/North American comparison was very good. Do this at the start of your stay. Highly recommended.

We did a special 1 hour family tour with Xavier. He catered the tour to my 8 and 11 year olds and did an excellent job. I would recommend him for all groups. Very knowledgeable and very much able to accommodate different groups!

Our company group of 6 worked with Xavier to plan our 5 day trip to Quebec City. For most of us, it was our first time visiting Quebec and Xavier helped make our trip one of the best we have ever taken. He was so helpful during the planning stages with recommendations for everything including activities, scheduling, lodging, and dining. He was always extremely friendly, helpful and responsive to all our questions and requests. He helpd put together a custom itinerary featuring some of the best activities and sights in and around Quebec City. Everything was planned and scheduled perfectly by Xavier, making the whole process and trip extremely smooth and relaxing. We were able to just focus on having fun. Xavier provided a custom walking tour of the Old City as well as guided excursions to Montmorency Falls, dog sledding, and Valcartier. He also provided a private tour of one of the highlights of our trip, the Hotel de Glace (Ice Hotel). It is a must do and having Xavier guide us through made the experience that much more memorable. Xavier was always friendly, professional, and so knowledgeable about the histroy and culture of the area. You could easily tell how much he enjoys being a guide and loves his city. I would without a doubt recommend Xavier for any group to help ensure you take advantage of all the wonderful things Quebec City has to offer.

Xavier was a fantastic tour guide and really knowledgeable with the history of the area and the people. Definitely a must do if you only have a few hours and don’t know a lot of Québec’s history.

I highly enjoyed this tour! Xavier was great at explaining Quebec history and bringing it to life. He also made everyone feel included in the discussions and would ask us questions every now and then. Definitely dress properly if you're coming during winter. Xavier sends really good tips for dressing warmly a few days in advance. Highly recommend this tour!!

Thank you Xavier for a wonderful tour of Levis! He researched my family tree for me and customized the tour to show me statues of ancestors and important parts of my family history. At his recommendation, we also added a tour of Old Quebec at the end because he wanted to show me our history there as well. He did a great job of tell me about my family while also incorporating it into the larger historical context of the region and cities. On top of all of that, he's a great communicator, very adaptable, super knowledgeable, and a wonderful person!

Xavier was an excellent tour guide for this winter trip. He was warm and friendly with great recall for names. He even had foot warmers to make sure his guests were comfortable in the cold. We both enjoyed how he communicated the culture of Quebec through his stories and historical touchstones. Highly recommended.

Fantastic tour by Xavier. He asks questions to make sure he tailors his tour to his clients interests! And do take his notes about dressing seriously! They are fun to read and more importantly, if you follow his recommendations, you will stay warm and enjoy every moment even in the coldest weather!

Xavier was very knowledgeable about the early and present day history of Quebec. We were happy to learn so much. He was great at including everyone in the conversation and remembered everyone's name and what they did..remarkable. Length of tour was just right. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone with the physical ability to hoof uphill.

Xavier, the guide, creates a well constructed tour which includes the social background of the places visited. This provides a depth not often experienced on a tour. All that said, Xavier is funny and light- hearted. Highly recommended. I wish I could be in Quebec in warmer weather to take other interesting tours that he offers.

Xavier's winter walking tour of Old Quebec was excellent! Beforehand, he set a preparation email about how to dress so we would be comfortable in the December wind. Unlike the typical tour guide who bombards the listener with names and dates, Xavier told us interesting stories about the history and geography of this special place, setting the context with a few major turning point events around which everything happened. He engaged us with questions ("what do you think they were trading at that time?"), and personalized the Quebecois viewpoint with stories of his family. We really enjoyed our two hour tour and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about this unique cultural and historical place.

Xavier is an extremely well informed guide who personalizes the tour for those involved. Appreciated hearing about the missing half of Quebec's history. Great tour for men and women.

My husband booked this tour as part of a surprise anniversary adventure. The theme provided a wonderful change of pace. It is easy to forget that most history is told of and about men and that women are relegated to heroine, victim or seductress. This tour provided a nuanced and human portrait of both the women and men who founded Quebec and by extension the rest of Canada. Xavier is clearly following his passion and that should be rewarded.
