Would not recommend. Worst boat trip of my life
my wife and i did this on our honeymoon. it wasnt 2 hours,, it was 3. 3 hours of almost nothing but industrial shipping to look at. they sell this as a dinner cruise and we paid 185 to get on board to find out that food was not included in our price, but they offered 85 and 9 dollar 4 and 5 course meals. The almost 200 was just to get on the boat.... most boring boat ride of our trip. save you time, spend your money at a nice restaurant on land.

      Bateau mouche Picnic
Multiple issues during the visit. 1) being rushed to enter the boat 2) Overcrowded, the 2 seat places were so tight my knees were hitting the person in front of me or I had to sit in diagonal 3) Food was not to my liking. Seemed to be of questionable quality (crackers were soft due to humidity). Drinks were ok. For the price, would not recommend…

      Worst Dinner Cruise experience ever
I had been to the Dubai cruise by bateau and had high hopes from the Montreal cruise too. So I booked the 4 course cruise. Unfortunately, the Montreal cruise was an utter disappointment. Firstly let me talk about the food. It was tasteless and bland. There wasn’t any seasoning. The meat was dry like the winter weather, and also hard. It was difficult to cut through the meat. The mashed potatoes were mixed with skin and brown in colour and most importantly not tasty at all. Even the sauces served with the dishes had split from the oil. Now I will talak about the service. As we sat down at our table we noticed that one of the wine glasses was chipped. Even after letting the waiter know, there was no acknowledgment or apology. We had also shared our displeasure with the food, and there was no response neither an inquiry about it. We were taken aback by this behaviour. In the end I wrote the feedback on the form and left it with the bill. But they gave the bill tray back with the feedback form back to us. I have attached it for your reference. For the amount that is charged the service and quality of food was horrendous. I hope you get your act back together, and don’t repeat this in the future.

Not a good value for money.
We booked the Picnic cruise package. The picnic was awful, soggy sandwiches, a unknown roll of stuff, took a bite, that was enough, UGH! The embarkation process was chaotic, three different lines, no coordination, much frustration by everyone. Not a good experience for us. We have taken many river cruises, the owners of this cruise business could/should do a lot, lot better.

Boring trip on a nice boat
Very boring trip on a very nice, well-maintained boat. The tour guide, admittedly was only on her third day on the job and in the city. She was reading from her notes but was unsure and had no background or details. They should have supported her with an experienced mentor.

      Great Day on the River
We had a lovely cruise on the river, floating past the islands and Habitat, under the Cartier Bridge and on to the modern container port. The views of the fall colors and the downtown skyline were memorable.

      Fun cruise on the River
What a great way to see Montreal from the St Lawrence River. The staff was friendly and you could purchase a cocktail during the ride. Very cool to see Habitat 67 from the water side of it.

Sunset cruise is an hour too long and not at sunset
My husband and I did the “sunset cruise”. It is two and a half hours long, which in our opinion, was about an hour too long. The riverfront of Montreal is largely industrial and the further out you go, the less scenic it is. We also were disappointed to realize that the sun had set an hour prior to the departure of the boat. The music and light show only came on for the last ten minutes of the boat ride. It would be much nicer if it played for a minute or so interspersed through the ride to break it up. It was also a really funny contrast with the jazz music that was playing the rest of the ride.

      Quick tour of Montreal Harbor
Nothing really special but if you want to get on the water, have a drink and get a quick tour of Montreal this would work. The kids will like it.

      Epic views of Montreal
At the Vieux du Port on the waterfront in old Montreal they now have a Ferris wheel just for views of the city. As a Photographer this afforded me the opportunity to capture some panorama shots of the city without having to either climb a hill or take an elevator to the top of a building. Coupled with the transformation of autumn colors illuminating from the trees it made for some nice aerial shots. It is a bit overpriced, yet if you'd like some nice view's it is worth it.

      A view of Six Flags
This was a bust. We sat outside but couldn't hear a word the guide said due to the engine noise. The best view you saw was of Six Flags. It was not a scenic waterfront nor much to see. It was not worth the money.

      Perfect Afternoon
Took the 90 minute cruise last Monday on a glorious, sunny day. Comfortable seating with good, competent service for beverages. Guide was friendly, informative and open to questions. Really nice perspective on the city and surrounding area.

      Good Boat Tour
We took the 1-hour boat tour immediately upon our arrival in Montreal. It was a lovely day, and the boat was not too crowded, so we had a great experience. We really enjoyed seeing the city and learning its history from the water. Our guide was excellent, transitioning from French to English almost seamlessly. We had only soft drinks, so we can’t comment on the quality of the food. The server was adept at getting and filling orders and collecting funds. Definitely worth it!

      Just OK
We were looking for something to do along the waterway while in Old Port and thought the hour long boat ride would be a nice way to relax and take in some sights from a different perspective. We boarded the boat and sat on the top level. This area is open to sun and is not air conditioned so be advised on sunny days. There are a few areas for shade on this level but the trade-off is lack of air circulation. Table service for drinks and light snacks is offered. Once our order was taken we actually wondered if we’d get it by the time the boat returned. Service was extremely slow and beware, tip is already included. The port of Montreal is very industrial and the sights the guide pointed out were somewhat lackluster. Overall, the cruise was ok, but we wouldn’t do it again.

The bâteau-mouche is very nice, there are three levels: the lowest by the bar is the biggest with table seating. There is a smaller upper deck with more informal seating inside and out. The boat was only slightly over half full so was comfortable.

They serve alcohol but it is expensive a small glass (less than half a pint) is $9 CAD

The problem is there isn’t much to see on the cruise itself: the silhouette of the city, an old dock, a clock, the fun fair, the decrepit Molson brewery and some brutalist buildings from the Expo in the 1960s.

That’s it. The views either side of the river aren’t all that pretty.

    It’s a bit ugly and not worth $43.68 CAD/£24.48GBP

This was a pleasant break after a long day of walking. The boat was lovely, with an open and covered upper level and a completely covered lower level. Narration pointed out landmarks on both sides of the river and was conducted in both English and French. I did find it difficult to hear at times due to the passengers talking and the overall large number of passengers, though I suppose this can't be helped. I do wish there was an information pamphlet or something so that passengers who want to hear the narration can follow along better.

I felt that tickets were a bit overbooked - it was really difficult to get to a window or to the side of the boat at all. Board early to secure yourself a good spot.

    Notes:

Drinks and food available on board. I did not purchase anything. Bathrooms are also available.

Cruise very well , supper excellent very good service , we took supper four services, on the upper deck , window edge $. Table for two
Two negatives for us, the two-person table, very small window edge , were forced to push another table (and we don't weigh 200 pounds ) because we didn't fit in , another very irritating point for everyone spiders on the upper deck all around the benches when you're sitting spider wire and tons of spiders , I think if he gave a little swipe on the bench poles before cruising , and also below the tables on the upper deck it would help , you sat down and a big spider comes to play in your hair not too much fun , we supper two spiders permanently in our window , , I think there would be something to do with it , so that at some point no one sitting on the benches outside , that's my opinion ,, but for the rest everything was excellent , super good salmon meal and filet mignon excellent service , music very good

I had decided to party on the famous fly boat, yet I went often on fireworks evenings in previous years, one last one for me.

We were 4 what a disappointment olala total bill 1000$
not eatable not just for me, we 4 see so!!

really is taking advantage of people?
besides the boat wasn't full, I understand WHY

I do not recommend the filet mignon in addition to 56$ (6 oz )
    as well as salmon, overcooked.

Service really leaves to be desired in addition that he said he was the manager WOW thinking maybe think about changing person!! He's done his time, he's arrogant, he's impatient with customers.

I asked for a shooter not very long to do like
    ( vodka)
after 10-15 minutes I tell him possible to have my drink please he answers me
    You're not alone By chance

The rest of the staff very kind, we asked we received with a smile, unlike this gentleman.

I wanted a plate of cheese, he told me I will make an exception to give it to you before, because I am the manager no but!!!! I pay what is the difference of having it after my entrance instead of the end.

I was advised to take the Dinner Cruises
Louis-Jolliet is sure to have my next excursion especially for fireworks in 2025

You just lost some good customers, too bad for you.

Ah yes there is music 5-10 minutes before disembarking from the boat with a play of light to entertain us

    Bravo a real face.

The river views are 90% industrial, so the tour is quite boring. The only cool thing to us is that it was worth seeing Habitat 67. I But I think a tour of Habitat 67 would be better as it’s just $40. This was a waste of money, very boring, and many children running around and other folks just talking over the guide. Plus, the guide speaks in French first and by the time you pass what he/she is talking about, when she speaks in English we’ve already passed it. Anyhoo, we thought the boat tour would help as so much of montreal looks exactly alike, except for the old town and downtown, but it did nothing to enhance our trip.

The staff is very kind and professional, the view of the river is ok but not wow. The 4-course meal is very, very ordinary, far from being worth $180 with tax and tip (window edge) plus the drink, so we exceed $800 for 4, 4 cocktails and a bottle of wine, much too expensive. With this amount go to any restaurant and you will have a meal worthy of the name.

It was more or less a 45min-1 hr cruise. First off, its difficult to find the check in area because you have to go down a hidden ramp past the ticket purchase counter. We went back and forth to find it coz there was no sign. It was a very hot day. And of course, the 2nd level of the boat was fried coz they had to open the covers/tarp. So there was nowhere to seat because of the seats would fry you. Bring lots of water. The tour guide had a lot of fillers when she was speaking back and forth to English and French. A lot of "ummm" ahhh, sounds like she did not really know what she was saying or forgetting things. Lastly, the drink gave me a terrible headache. I ordered the virgin/ mocktail mango something.

I’m happy I didn’t read reviews before I made reservations! We did the 90 minute cruise on this beautiful sunny Monday! Who can think of a better way to spend time but on the water? Sure you see a lot of the port but it’s the largest one in North America! So just look at the other side on your way out and see the Biodome and La Ronde amusement park. The view of Montreal from the water is magnificent on your return!

I ordered a pina colada and it was yummy! We sat on the upper deck and yes the sun was hot at times but that made us appreciate the times we were in shade. The narrator spoke in both French & English and also walked around a few times asking if anyone had any questions. We thought it was time well spent.

The audio on the boat is terrible. You cannot hear what the tour guide is saying which makes the tour completely useless. If you like going for a boat ride then this tour is for you. If you want to know what is being seen then you should choose another tour. Also, the music that is being played is much much too loud. If they would play the tour guide portion as loud then maybe I could give it 2 stars. Finally, if you have mobility issues there are no accommodations.

This experience was disappointing. We were under the impression that the tour would include information on the sites along the river. This wasn’t the case for us. Someone talked twice, once about the bridge and then about some other building. The speakers that were in front of us either weren’t turned on or didn’t work, thus the only people who could hear what was said were on the small top deck which held about 20-25 people. Everyone else had to sit downstairs in an enclosed space. At least the seats were comfortable and it wasn’t overly crowded. Basically we paid for an hour boat ride which went in a big circle that tried to sell you food and drinks.
