Taste your way through Jean-Talon Market and beyond on a Montreal food tour that explores the up-and-coming Mile-Ex neighborhood. You visit six eateries for a fresh, insider look at the Montreal food scene, tasting flavors ranging from Salvadorean to farm-to-table cuisine and learning about Montreal’s vibrant communities along the way.
What to Expect

Meet your guide near Montreal’s biggest market. With your group, step into Jean-Talon’s maze of local produce, maple syrup, and specialty foods. The guide chooses (at least) six stops for tastings, while introducing the diverse traditions of Montreal food.

After exploring Jean-Talon Market, continue through the city streets, pausing for a tasting at a hole-in-the-wall Salvadorian place. Here and throughout the tour, take advantage of the small group format to ask questions about Montreal culture and food, getting tips on where to eat, drink, and explore in the city.

Following the tasting, keep walking through hip Mile-Ex, where startup craft breweries share space with longtime neighborhood favorites.

Finish the tour at the edge of Little Italy, the place where in-the-know locals head for the city's best pasta and Latin American shops.

Montreal is a beautiful city and this tour gave us the opportunity to hear the stories behind the food and beverage establishments we visited. From Los Planes, a small Salvadorian restaurant to the Jean-Talon Market and the Dinette Triple Crown it would be hard to...More

I agree that it was probably around 2 miles total. There are many breaks in between and we did not feel tired at all after the tour. Keep in mind that you are about a 10 minute walk from where you started, so there be... More
