          Three words. Amazing Amazing AMAZING!!!
Amazing Amazing Amazing!!! You won't go wrong with this Team! Amit and our guide Pei were Super Amazing from our initial communications all the way to the last day of dropping us off to the airport. We have a group of 12 (50s to early teens) and we signed up for one of the Hotel Packages (highly recommended). All of us, including a few hard to impress teens had an amazing time at Yellowknife. Now a little more details... Food and Activities: The tour we selected included all meals and activities. Their restaurant selections were awesome with great variety. Amit and team always make sure our Tummy is yummy Yummy and YUMMY. Most tours I've joined are very rigid on food selections but NOT this. They are very accommodating and flexible. Activities were all great and well planned out. We had a lot of fun with the activities outside of the Aurora viewing/hunting. We also learned a lot of the great history of Yellowknife and the indigenous way of life. Aurora Hunting: What a great experience! You never know what to expect when you go to the night hunt for Aurora. Personally, I went for the whole experience. We were lucky and was able to see the Aurora on all nights, some were stronger than the other but we all love the excitement of the unknown. Pei was super instrumental on sharing a few tricks with taking Aurora photo. She is also a great photographer for the entire group. Attach a sample from my camera and a photo from our guide Pei. Above and Beyond! - I had to mention this but please do not ask or expect it to be included😎. On our first Aurora hunting night, it was my daughter's 21st birthday. We had pre-ordered a dozen of cupcakes for easy transport to the Aboriginal cabin to celebrate. Amit and Pei were super nice and offered the cupcake pickup and transport them to the cabin. But that's not the only nice part, we were surprised with another 10" birthday cake so that we can share the celebration with others in the cabin. It was a very thoughtful gesture from Amit and team. We had a great memorable night and took some awesome video and pictures! To close this out, there were just so many moments where we all felt the team went above and beyond and I will not mention all of them here. Thank you Amit and Pei for making this trip super memorable for us. We will be talking about this trip and you guys for many years to come ❤️

What a friendly dog sledding team
I can't thank them enough for their kindness. From the start to the end, we were very welcomed and given great care of getting homemade food and hot chocolate!! They have lots of experience in dog sledding. Also the guide who gave us a ride was so amazing. Do not hesitate to choose this team.

          Strong solar wind was visible
Another great night with Pei! She takes the best pictures. The aurora was so strong and visible. Very cold night. I made new friends as well :)

The best yellowknife northern lights guided tour
The tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and energetic. The experience overall was fun and educational. We got to see the northern lights from different locations, they took many professional quality photos of everyone in our group and sent us digital copies and we all received refreshments like hot cocoa, tea and cookies. I highly recommend them if you're interested in seeing the northern lights in Yellowknife. This guided tour was 11/10.

          A Bucket List Experience
We thoroughly enjoyed our Aurora tour with Amit on 12-28-24. He was pleasant, informative, and helpful. We had low expectations based on a weak Aurora the night before, but were dazzled by God's handiwork on this night. Seeing the pure joy it gave Amit when the skies cleared and the lights began dancing brought joy to us. He also adapted the group's plans when the Aurora became active and made sure we all got wonderful pictures and had plenty of time. Pictures were sent to us within an hour after we were dropped off at our AirBNB. He loves his job and is a credit to this tour company.

          Fantastic northern lights tour
This is a tour that drives to a few locations where you get out to look for the lights. Our guide gave us great information re the lights and general area along the way. They also gave us hot drinks and delicious maple cookies (which were so good that afterwards I went to a supermarket and bought a few packs to take home!). Our guide took lots of fantastic photos of us and sent them to us straight after the tour. We had a fabulous night!

          Aurora hunting
We, three couples traveled together to see the northern lights in Yellowknife. It was the last week of November and at first we chose "Northern lights with cabin" as i heard that weather was too cold to stay outside all times. For 3 days we could only enjoy northern lights one time as it was cloudy. We want to see northern light one more time and chose Yellowknife vacations. I called them and made a reservations for aurora hunting same day. It was not easy to contact local operators by phone and not possible to make same day reservation. Contacted Yellowknife vacations and i could make a reservations for 3 couples and they upgraded our tour to "private aurora hunting" for us. We were picked up at 9:30 at our place and returned back around 2:00 a.m and it was really amazing tour we had in Yellowknife. The guide Amit is professional guide and we moved 3 different place to chase Aaurora. On the last day of our travel to Yellowknife, we saw great northern lights. ana Guide Amit took fantastic pictures for us and when i returned home I can get beautiful pictures. I would like to say thanks to Amit, guide and Yellowknife Vacations for the fantastic aurora tour in Yellowknife. Pros and cons for aurora hunting and tour with cabin. In cabin, they just stay at one place and if the weather is cloudy, it is not easy to see northern lights. While aurora hunting is not stay at one place, this tour moves to chase aurora and the high probability of watching northern lights. I strongly recommend "Yellowknife Vacations" and say thanks again to our guide Amit. They are really professional tour operator. It was very cold and bring warm clothes.

          Service Not Consistent
We booked two day tour with Northern Lights Tour Yellowknife. The guide's name is Peipei. She was nice and being professional on the 1st day. We tipped her generously (18% of the total charges).) because of her great service. However, for day 2, the driver and Peipei arrived almost 1/2 hour late to pick up us at the hotel. No communication or advance notice that they are going to be late. Kept us wondering whether the trip was cancelled. We had to call the company to figure out what's going on. As to the service on date2, Peipei was apparently wasn't that attentive and wasn't happy at all. She hardly talked with us at all, which made us wondering it might be due to our contact with the company directly. We understand that it isn't an easy job. Some of us still tipped her even she did not do a great job. Our recommendation to the company is not to over-work their guide. Peipei might need to take some rest, instead of continue to work two days in a row to maintain great customer service.

Georges friend from Montana, visit to Yellowknife.
We were greeted at airport and went on tour and lunch as soon as we landed. Saw terrific lights each of the 3 nights. Breathtaking the second night. Tour guide got us home to the hotel at 3:00 am each day. Were fantastic nights searching for the lights. Most we saw in the parking lots at lakes in the Yellowknife area. So dark out there one could not see their hand in front of their face. Warm bus and hot chocolate and cookies to take any chill off. The last night we went to a tee-pee village way up north by a lake. In the native lodge they fillet'd several large whitefish. Then cooked them over a fire in one of the tee-pees plus cooked a small flatbread for each of us. Most memorable snack ever. Then out came the homemade drums and one of the native men put on a demonstration of native drumming with many of our tour group playing drums with him. Can't put into words the wonderful night that was. While all this activity was going on the Northern Lights were dancing in the background. Was chilly but a quick visit into the lodge or the warm tee-pee made things so nice. The next day we were taken to the modern airport to get on the airliner,{180 passengers}, and we flew back to Calgary. The tour of Yellowknife was so well organized and complete. To visit the diamond center, the world class museum and other sights rounded out our adventure trip of a lifetime. If you are thinking about this trip, do it. You will not regret it. Great experience with Pei
We did two trips with this company and Pei was our guide for both. We did the city tour which was informative and a good activity for a cold afternoon. We also did an aurora tour. We had it originally booked for Saturday night but our flight was delayed so the company graciously allowed us to switch to Wednesday (we already had activities booked for the other days). Unfortunately the weather was not good and we had zero expectations of seeing the aurora. However, Pei had faith and we waited at our first stop...she was absolutely right! The sky cleared up, and we saw pretty good aurora activity. She also did a great job of taking photos. We were only 5 in the group, so we were in an SUV instead of a bus. Pei did a great job of trying to make the trip fun for everyone

          An amazing experience
Pei our tour guide is very professional and expert in what she is doing. She knows what the customers want and takes the best possible photos of the aurora at different angle . A must to do when you go to Yellowknife and I highly recommend this company. Ask the tour guide Pei.

Highly recommend Yellowknife Vacation if anyone planning a trip to view aurora at Yellowknife
We had an amazing experience with Yellowknife Vacation! Thank you Pei for taking a lot of pictures for us. Pei is a good photographer and she captured the stunning aurora beautifully and even provided us with free download of all the beautiful pictures. Amit is a very nice and thoughtful guy. He organized the trip for us and made our trip unforgettable. We were so happy that we could see the aurora two nights out of three nights. Thanks Pei and Amit for making our trip so special!

          A successful, but chilly tour.
Overall, it was a good trip. The bus picked us up from our Airbnb, which we appreciated. The tour guide was enthusiastic and did a fantastic job taking pictures of people with the aurora in the background, which she then emailed to us later that night at 3 am when she got back to the office. The hot chocolate and cookies were a nice touch. My main complaint is that the bus was cold. It was a very cold night, -20° F with a -38° F windchill, and the heating system on the bus could not keep up. I don't know what the exact temperature inside the bus was, but it was below freezing as none of the snow that we tracked in melted. The bus needs a supplemental heating system. And just a note for future subarctic explorers, consider renting parkas, snow pants, and boots from a local shop. We're from Chicago, and we thought our winter gear would cut it if we put on enough layers, but we were still cold.

I highly recommend this tour. This is a safe and professional experience- from the safety and driving instructions at the start. I wasn’t sure if we would get appropriate clothing given but we were kitted our in fabulous Canada Goose jacket trousers gloves and boots as it was -30 before we got out on the mobiles. We were off through trees and narrow terrain and then on to a couple of frozen lakes where we had a brilliant ride to explore up and down before heading back. I had an issue part way around and the instructor Tong (?) sorted me out and safely got me back on the trail. Thank you. An amazing experience and highly recommended

Had a wonderful experience on the snowmobile tour with Yellowknife Vacations. Amit was our main goto guy, and he really took care of us all of the way. We joined another group of 6 (if I remember correctly), but we all had a great time. Felt like a small group and the best part is the instructors and guides give you alot of independence and free-time to ride. We were on a winding trail and on 2 lakes, where we could speed and spend some amazing time. The mobiles were well maintained and the heated handlebars were highly useful in minus 30°C.

In short, we had a blast and was a once in a lifetime experience for us tropical natives.
