“Book at your own risk” When there is a problem, this company will try to hide it. That’s not a good sign of a tour company. Our tour was supposed to take us from Banff to Jasper and then stay a night in Jasper. But it didn’t happened as they probably overbooked. So some of us (about 20-30) were left stranded with drastically changed itinerary. We only knew of the changed itinerary on the day itself even though we booked months ahead. For example, they just make up an itinerary to tour some places in Banff, then travel about 2 hours to Calgary hotel for the night. Very early next morning about 7 am, travel another 2 hours back to Banff to continue the tour. Could they have put us up in Banff hotels and allow us to enjoy the night in Banff? They could but it would incur extra expenses. A good service oriented company would do that. After all they are the one at fault. I mean problems happened. But how a company solve them tells you much about them.

Had a great tour of Banff with this company! The tour was well organized and we saw many beautiful places each day. Our guide Lisa was very knowledgeable, gave great information about each place, and made sure the group was well taken care of during the tour. Thank you Lisa for making our trip great!

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and dissatisfaction with the recent travel experience I had with Westar. As a customer who has previously enjoyed your services, I am disheartened to find that the quality of your operations has deteriorated to such an extent. Lack of Responsibility: It has come to my attention that your company has been operating with a severe lack of responsibility. The staff's indifference to customer concerns and the absence of a proactive approach to problem-solving have been alarming. This is particularly evident in the way your representatives handled the recent itinerary changes without any prior notice or consideration for the inconvenience caused to the travelers. Chaotic Management: The management of the tour was disorganized and chaotic. There was a lack of clear communication and coordination among the staff, leading to confusion and delays. This not only affected the overall experience but also raised concerns about the safety and well-being of the travelers. Unilateral Itinerary Changes: The most distressing aspect of my experience was the arbitrary and unilateral changes made to the itinerary. Without any consultation or consideration for the preferences of the travelers, we have to take 3 hours bus tour back to Calgary which is waste of time and so tired.

"It was a very pleasant trip. After my mother-in-law and wife flew from Shanghai to Toronto, I arranged for them to visit Banff National Park. Since it was their first time traveling to Banff, they were filled with various concerns and worries before the trip. Unfortunately, I couldn’t accompany them due to work commitments. However, all their concerns were completely relieved after they met Lisa, the tour guide from Westar Travel. Lisa, upon learning about their concerns, took great care of my wife and mother-in-law throughout the entire trip. Knowing that my mother-in-law is a professional photography enthusiast, she made special arrangements for them to sit at the front of the bus. Since it was their first time in Banff, Lisa also provided them with detailed explanations of the sights and shared interesting stories whenever time permitted. After the trip, my wife and mother-in-law couldn’t stop praising Lisa for her excellent service. Many thanks to Lisa and Westar Travel; we will definitely choose this travel agency again for our next visit to Banff."

It was a great tour!! Really enjoyed it, spectacular views and Simon was super nice and funny. You have a good amount of time for Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. I would have loved a bit more time at the Emerald Lake but other than that I 100% recommend this tour!

Last minute booking, as I had planned to drive, but this was so much more relaxing. Our tour guide was wonderful, getting us last minute tickets up the Gondola when we arrived. Very informative and excellent stops and timing.

Beautiful views at each stop. The bus driver was courteous and knowledgeable and told us about the history of the area and pointed out sights along the way. I would book with them again. It was a very nice trip.

First time using a bus tour to visit Banff. Wanted to go to several places but just had one day to do it. Our tour was well organized and kept to their timetable. Both our guide and bus driver were extremely friendly and helpful. Our guide’s insights added depth to the experience. Enjoyed all the stops to experience the beauty of Banff. While the tour was fairly well paced the only downfall was at the end when we had to stop off at several hotels in Banff to let most of the passengers off to continue their visit. Overall would still recommend a bus tour if you wish to see several sites in one day.

We had Joseph as our tour guide. Highly recommend joining a tour with him. He is informative and fluent in both Mandarin and English, making sure you understand the history and meaning behind each attraction. He was also super nice and helpful. Never seen him showing any sign of reluctance whenever anyone required extra assistance. We had a great time in Banff.

Habib was a great tour guide, friendly and shared so much history and fun facts of the areas visited. Highly recommend this tour.

If you want to travel to Calgary by this tour agency, try to go with the guide Joseph. He was very informative, positive, explained everything in English very well, saw to it everything happened on time without being overbearing and was pleasant throughout! I still remember the information he gave during the tour because he was so enthusiastic about it!

I am very disappointed with the service I received during the Columbia Icefields trip with Westar. The poor communication from the tour guide, Kelvin Chau, and the uncomfortable seats were major issues. Firstly, Kelvin never responded to my calls. I tried multiple times to confirm the special booking time for the Ice Explorer, even leaving voicemails the day before the trip. I also asked my travel agent to contact him, but nothing worked. Kelvin never checked his phone, even leaving two passengers stranded in the hotel lobby during the pickup. Secondly, Kelvin’s English was not up to standard. His language was basic and simplistic, which meant his explanations about the attractions were brief and lacked detail compared to other tour guides. Thirdly, despite the Columbia Icefield being closed due to a mudslide that happened overnight , Kelvin was unaware when other groups already canceled the trip and led us to the parkway as planned. This lack of communication resulted in wasted time on the road, ruining my entire day. Kelvin then arranged several downgraded attractions as replacements, which were not only uninteresting but also overlapped with my itinerary for the following day. I’m extremely disappointed with the cost I paid for the Icefields trip, which was higher than regular Banff tours. Lastly, my experience with my travel agent, Singme Travel, was also unsatisfactory. There were numerous miscommunications between her and the tour guide regarding pickup and drop-off locations. She also failed to check the availability of optional services, resulting in us missing out on them and having to book tickets ourselves. Overall, this trip did not meet my expectations, and I feel that the price paid was not justified. 我对这次跟Westar去哥伦比亚冰原的旅行真的很失望。导游Kelvin Chau沟通太差了，旅游车座位也很不舒服。 首先，Kelvin从来不回我电话。我想确认冰原探险的预定时间，打了好几次电话，甚至在出发前一天还留了语音信息。我还让我的旅行社帮忙联系他，但都没用。Kelvin根本不看手机，甚至还把两个乘客丢在酒店大堂没接上。最后那两个乘客自己另外坐车赶上来的。 其次，Kelvin的简装英语让我觉得他是不是精神不正常。他说的英语并不专业，很简单，他对景点的介绍大多很简短，没什么细节，很多时候我们就是上车睡觉，下车打卡景点。 第三，哥伦比亚冰原因为半夜的泥石流关闭了，其他旅行社都取消行程了。但Kelvin居然不知道，还是按照原计划带我们去了冰原大道。这样沟通不畅，导致我们在路上浪费了大量时间，整个上午都毁了。Kelvin后来安排了一些档次低的景点替代原来的计划，这些景点不仅没意思，还和我第二天的行程有很大重复。 我都不想提我那个在xhs找的Singme Travel 的对接。不帮忙确认门票的时间和位子比如雪车和硫磺山缆车，这些全要我们自己去订。还把我的上车点和下车点弄错了。弄的我自己去跟导游更正。整个行程真是恼火。
