Overview
Enjoy this full-day tour from Banff, visiting the Athabasca Glacier and the stunning scenery lining the breathtaking Icefields Parkway. This adventurous tour gets you up close with Canada’s stunning Athabasca Glacier, including visits to other attractions such as Bow Lake, Peyto Lake, and Columbia Icefields along the way. Your tour also includes round-trip transport from Banff, a mountain picnic lunch, Glacier Skywalk, and an all-terrain Ice Explorer tour.
What to Expect
Explore the dramatic glaciers of Banff and Jasper National Park on this adventurous Athabasca Glacier tour. Along the way you’ll get a first-hand look at the key role these huge ice formations played in shaping the sweeping valleys, colorful alpine lakes, and soaring peaks of the region.

Sit back and enjoy the ride along the Icefields Parkway, one of the world’s most stunning scenic drives. Because you don’t have to navigate or watch the road, this tour lets you focus on the amphitheatre of mountains towering above. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife at the edges of the forest.

Afterwards, dig into a hearty mountain picnic and take a photo stop at Peyto Lake – famous for its stunning pale milky-turquoise hue.

Climb aboard the Ice Explorer (a six-wheeled behemoth of a vehicle) and drive across the surface of this glittering sheet of ice. Getting thirsty? You’ll have a chance to drink pure, cold water straight from the glacier. You’ll also walk the glass floor Glacier Skywalk, hanging from the edge of the Sunwapta Valley, for unparalleled views of the canyon below and mountains around you.

Please note: This tour is seasonal, operating April through October.

AMAZING!!!

The glacier tour was amazing and informative! Our driver James was very informative, funny, and we felt safe during the visit. Great overall. Strongly recommend booking in advance as times get sold out quickly.

Awesome tour

Brewster sightseeing tour was an awesome tour. Our tour guides, Mitch and George, were great. At our age to say we walked on a glacier is something to remember. Very informative and helped with my husband as he is a slow walker!

This is not baby friendly if you want to walk on the glacier. There is no point in going past the carpark at the visitors centre, however the views from there are stunning!!
