About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- BlissfulTravels960 contributionsThrilling adventure with spectacular views! We were 3 friends doing the motorbike tour of Ha Giang + Ban Gioc waterfall. The tour was arranged brilliantly from start to finish. Our guide Nu handled the tour wonderfully and we were very happy with the bikes used. She introduced us to Vietnamese culture, fantastic food and really felt like one of the group. Even though we were unlucky with wet weather along the way, she made the trip really special. The homestays were fabulous and the views along the way just simply heavenly (at least when the cloud lifted!). Ha Giang Adventure made the tour the best ever! Hats off to them and especially Nu for making it such a memorable adventure. It was so good, we will be back to do this adventure again in the future. Highly recommended!Written 5 March 2025
- gooingtravelling0 contributionsAmazing ExperienceBest trip ever! My guide Jane was literally the best, speaks excellent English and ever so helpful :) The homestays were a plus point because I never expected such beautiful accommodations. Dont really see many other tourists so you know you have gone off the conventional stuff! Booking this tour was super fuss free, and transfer from Hanoi and back can be arranged by them. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone. Thank you so much for this amazing experience.Written 1 March 2025
- carlaoM1411AQ0 contributionsAmazing Tour GuidesThis is a must do if you go to Vietnam and we couldn’t recommend this company enough. Our riders Con and Truong were great!! We felt really safe and got to learn loads about their culture. The Homestays were all amazing and we were extremely well feed. If you’re travelling in Jan we recommend lots of warm layers as it’s colder than you think.Written 20 February 2025
- Dreamer521532799550 contributionsWonderful tripI know others have said as much but, unequivocally, this is the best adventure/experience that I've had in ...forever. Every aspect of this trip was infused with thoughtfulness and great planning. The great food, the wonderful variety of northern Vietnam's minority ethnicities, the really magical landscapes, and the feeling that I, for a brief time, was part of it all. Treasured, indelible memories. I am a changed man. Cuong and his staff are the kind of people I'd be honored to call friends.Written 13 July 2024
- V6091QGsams0 contributionsA Great Trip with Ha Giang AdventureOur experience with Ha Giang Adventure was truly amazing! After being urged by our friends, we decided to embark on the Ha Giang loop with this company. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we've ever made. Everything, from the pick-up to the accommodations, was perfectly arranged. The places we stayed were clean, comfortable, and nestled in serene villages. The food was also a delightful treat for our taste buds. Our guides, Nu and Su, played a crucial role in making us feel at ease and secure throughout the journey. They were fluent in English, knowledgeable, and seasoned in their field. I wholeheartedly recommend this adventure to everyone. Trust me, you won't regret embarking on this incredible journey!Written 26 June 2024

- N6415WGjoans0 contributionsA beautiful thrilling adventure! After 6 weeks in Vietnam, this is by far the most amazing experience we did. We were pillions and our tour leaders and riders was Chinh and Khanh. Chinh is a great leader, he kept us safe, informed and showed us so many beautiful sights Vietnam has to offer. There is a great joy riding on the back of a motorbike in Vietnam. It was such a beautiful and thrilling adventure.Written 1 April 2024
- Scott_A_FL0 contributionsEpic AdventureDoing the Loop with Ha Giang Adventures was the highlight of my 30 day trip to Vietnam. Truong guided our small group of 4 people through local villages, over high mountain passes, stopped at numerous vistas to take in the views and introduced us to some great local food over our 4 day journey on the Loop. Thank you again..will be back to conquer the western route next time.Written 6 March 2024
- Patrick Q0 contributionsLife Changing Trip - Book it!!From the beginning when I was booking until the last minute…everything was highly organized and made very convenient for me. I requested a small size group to really get a feel for the Vietnamese culture instead of going with the large groups from the popular hostels. I am so happy with my decision. It ended up just being me and my guide Chài and he was super cool. He had so much knowledge, has great English and was very accommodating. He introduced me to the locals, kept an eye on my driving skills and gave me an extra challenge with some off roading / alternative routes when he saw I was a confident rider. He is also basically a professional photographer. The bus transfer from Hanoi up and back was also very easy and it was a very nice and comfortable bus. I will be back again. The food was also amazing every day and Chài took care of all the ordering etc. as several places have zero English in the small villages. If you’re thinking about booking and are on the fence….JUST DO IT!! Not to be dramatic but this was a life changing experience. My eyes have been opened.Written 3 February 2024
- Navigator5774150 contributionsAmazing Ha GiangThe scenery was spectacular, but the guides made our trip. Su, Cay, Viet and Tony were amazing, They were kind, genuine, experienced, fun, very safety oriented and knowledgeable. They shared their culture with open hearts and passion. This was definitely one of the best experiences we’ve had as a family.Written 23 January 2024
- twinkletwinkle0 contributionsVery Rude and Arrogant from the Start ~ Recommend to avoid. We did not even join this tour because the owner whom we had the unfortunate (or fortunate) first contact with. In total agreement and empathy, with the less than 5 star reviews given here by other reviewers that he came across totally arrogant. We are guessing if it were not for his polite riders, this whole enterprise would collapse with his distasteful attitude. Cuong was absolutely rude - and in our opinion, without any provocation at all. We wanted a private tour and asked for the cost and he said - "how much are you willing to spend". What kind of question is that? He then claimed & boasted wildly to have also taken Mark Zuckerburg around, who paid thousands for his tour. Subsequently, on our trip, we actually came across a couple of his riders that he hires that said the same about him. Very unpleasant encounter and this is just over email and phone. We definitely would not want to, nor recommend, joining a tour with such black vibes in the background, running the show. Many others to choose from.Written 28 December 2023
- Sebastian H0 contributions7 out of 5 possible stars!Unfortunately, I can not give more than 5 stars. B st experience ever. Fantastic guides and drivers. Felt very safe, they make sure to adjust to the speed of the slowest driver (me). Nice accommodation, outstanding food. And enough happy water…. By the way: 🖕(insider joke)Written 21 December 2023
- Helge R0 contributionsI had the time of my life with Ha Giang AdventureThe perfect Ha Giang loop with Chai as the perfect guide. Chai is the best - professional, calm, helpfull, full of knowledge, went the extra mile, kind, and warm - simply the best. The overall plan, route, breaks, Hotel and homestays were excellent. In particular, the last homestay we did was was just an out of this world experience - dinner with the big familiy, plenty of laughs and happy water and a huge amount of choices for a hungry stomach.Written 11 December 2023
- Getaway408387091010 contributionsWonderful off road experienceHoang Su Phi was an extraordinary and immersive experience. The landscape's undulating rice terraces, like cascading green ribbons across the mountains, painted a mesmerizing backdrop for our adventure. Riding along winding mountain roads, we were treated to breathtaking panoramic views that truly captured the essence of Northern Vietnam's natural beauty. Our knowledgeable guide not only ensured our safety but also provided valuable insights into the region's culture and traditions, enhancing the richness of our journey. Interactions with local communities allowed us to gain a deeper appreciation for their way of life and witness their skilled craftsmanship first-hand. This motorbike trip through Hoang Su Phi was an awe-inspiring blend of natural splendor, cultural immersion, and adventure, leaving an indelible mark on our travel memories.Written 1 December 2023

Fantastic, small groups and very safety concous. I booked thru airbnb so unsire of price differences, but it felt safe and was worth it for sure. Stayed and two lovely homestays and had Fantastic food. The team were welcoming and freindly, nothing was too much bother and they happily answered all the daft questions we threw at them! When i needed personal help they never hesitated, they organised everything very well and can really recommend them .

My boyfriend and I did the 4-day/3-night motorbike tour last week, and my only complaint was that we should have made it a longer trip! We wanted an authentic experience with a small group to truly experience Northern Vietnam, which was precisely what we received. We were paired with another awesome couple and our tour guide Mikey (Nguyen Michael), making our group of 5 setup to have a perfect time. Mikey was highly knowledgeable about the lands we were riding on, the people who lived there, the local food, and the customs we observed. Mikey took us to excellent local restaurants with unique, delicious, and accommodating menus that genuinely allowed us to experience the place we were visiting. We always stopped at viewpoints that had amazing sights and were not flooded with other tourists. Mikey made sure each of us was well prepared for our journey, he was confident in his riding as well as supportive to those who drove their own bikes on our trip. Mikeys proficiency in English made our communication and understanding along the way seamless, while his deep roots to locals along the way allowed us to get an authentic experience with the kind Northerners. The two countryside Homestays we lodged at had incredible views and spacious rooms and full bathrooms. If you are debating on doing this tour this is your sign to take the leap. This trip was our favorite part of our two week journey through Vietnam, we will hopefully get a chance to visit again!

Absolutely recommend booking this tour over a larger group tour with 10+ people!! Our guides Mikey, Hoc, ALy and Cuong were funny, kind, always thoughtful and total pros at keeping us away from the large crowds. The itinerary is timed perfectly, the homestays are secluded and gorgeous, the food is delicious and the happy water always flowing. Couldn’t be more pleased and truly can’t stress enough how great our drivers were. If my butt could handle it, I’d wish the tour was even longer!

An incredible adventure! Great communication, high level of safety and organisation, definitely a cut above the rest (this is not your backpacker madness bike tour).
We spent 4 amazing days in a small group riding along small roads and mind blowing scenery led by the extremely capable Vey and Nuc and staying in high quality Homestays.
Having visited literally every country in Asia I can say without hesitation that this is the highlight of SE Asia, and if you are looking for a safe, well organised tour with very easy communication then Ha Giang Adventure should be top of your list.
In a sea of tour operators all offering near identical tours it can be hard to choose and only once you've committed and seen how other tours are run can you tell if you've chosen well....Ha Giang Adventure were the easiest to communicate with, have a safety standard much higher than I observed other tours having, and really cared about our trip. I would recommend them to anyone wanting something a little more bespoke and personal...we will certainly use them again and recommend to all our friends.

We couldn’t have been happier with the tour we chose for the Ha Giang loop. Unlike other tours, we there was only 4 of us in the group with our guide Tranh (other tours have 30 ppl). He adjusted the speed based on our group, we could stop for photos when we wanted to and he took us to the best hidden homestays on the loop away from the crowds. The food was also amazing as we always shared everything with each other. Tranh was a great tour guide, he organized it so well without us even noticing it and he explained a lot about all the places. Plus on the dinner table we always had nice chats with enough happy water🤩. I drove on my own with my girlfriend on the back and Tranh went at an easy speed to follow and still we never had any stress to move on. We also once had a problem with our bike and it got fixed within an hour. It’s best to have some previous experience before driving yourself as the roads are quite challenging sometimes (potholes, traffic, gravel). But the views are just REALLY breathtaking all the time plus we visited a cave, went to the hemp factory of the local women and on a boat tour. This was one of my favourite trips of our travels! So whether you want to drive on your own or with an easyrider I can’t recommend this tour enough (4d/3N is best to get the full experience).
Go ahead and support this company run by locals from the Ha Giang province who also donate a part of the profit to less fortunate people. Plus you will really have the best experience and away from the masses❤️

With this tour we visited beautiful places and our guides made us avoid the crowds of other groups. The places where we slept were local and always very nice, away from the noise and crowds of larger groups; in the places with the shared bathroom we were still warned before and everything was always very clean. On our tour it was just me, my partner and the two guides. Our guides Thang and Vey speak fluent English, explained very well the local traditions and Vietnamese in general. They took care of us, at the end of the tour Thang even repaired my phone that got wet because of the heavy rain!! We were a bit unlucky with the rain, particularly on the second day, the rain covers provided by the company were not adequate, we got a lot wet, both us and our backpacks. They could have warned us before buying a disposable plastic suit, they are quietly on the street and we have been wearing them since the third day.
In general we recommend Ha Giang Adventure to anyone who wants to discover the most authentic part of this region.

Hagiang-adventure company was an amazing experience. They were so professional and really focused on safety and creating an overall experience. Other tour companies will run 30 people group tours and just want money. These guys focus on much more than a pay day and only run smaller groups so they can keep a close watch on the riders. My guides were Micheal, zian and cho and they took amazing care of us every step of the way, and made sure we rode at a pace everyone was comfortable with. The homestays, meals and other activities were all amazing. They included hiking, waterfall swimming, going to china border and hemp clothing making tour, there was a cave hike too which we had to forego due to driver running late due to traffic (out of their control) but apparently it's really good. This tour company was recommended to me by other friends I met along the way who used them and I'm glad I went with them. Bikes were pristine condition as well. Highly highly reccomend, wouldn't want to go with anyone else. (If you get cho as a guide make sure u ask him how fast it will take him to run up the mountain side...I've never seen anyone climb so fast in my life it was insane lol)

I completed the 4 day 3 night trip with Ha Giang Adventure this week, and had an amazing time. The landscape is incredible, and passing through local towns and markets gives you a window into the lives of local people which I found really interesting.
The team of guides themselves were great too - I’m a 23 year old woman travelling alone but Cuong and my guide Manh made me feel so safe and looked after the whole time, from the initial early-morning pickup to my dietary requirements and of course the motorbiking itself. Ha Giang Adventure is more expensive than some of the other companies, but having a really small group meant my trip was so much more enjoyable, because I got to ask questions and really understand the local culture. It’s been my highlight of Vietnam so far without a doubt, and wish I could do it again.

My wife and I recently went on the 3 night, 4 day motorbike adventure and it exceeded all expectations. We lucked out with the weather and were able to see the amazing mountain views as well as many additional attractions such as a local hemp linen business, a swimming hole with a waterfall and a scenic boat ride just to name a few.
I shared a motorbike with the guide, Cáy, who was such a joy to be around the whole time. He taught me so much about local Vietnamese and Hmong culture in the mountain region and answered any questions I had. He was an extremely safe and experienced driver and would seemingly reveal a new party trick that he had up his sleeve to help me and the other guests stay entertained at all times.
Although riding along the Ha Giang loop itself is an amazing adventure, it was really the positive energy and friendliness of the guides that made this trip the BEST experience I've ever had while traveling. The leader, Su, Phuong and Mr. Binh always checked in on us and made sure we were comfortable and having a good time. I cannot remember a time in which I have continuously laughed so hard in a 4 day span of time.
The food was also so delicious and the places we stayed overnight each had their own unique charm. I couldn't wait to simply have dinner and chat with all the guides and other guests even after a long day of riding.
Long story short, book this tour. You will not regret it.

It was best thing we could ever do in Vietnam the View, the Fun riding the Bike and of course our Tourguide ,,Trang", He is a great Entertainer and we had a blast with him.
And you are also a nice and small group so it is not stressfull at all and for a small upcharge you can ask for an easy Rider if you are not comfortble with riding yourself.
10/10 would recommend and I personolly will do it again. If you have the chance ask for ,,Trang".

We need a pick up from Hanoi. So the pick up will be 1 day before the tour begins? Whats the price for the pickup? And is there a chat like whatsapp where I can ask you questions for the tour?

I organised this tour through my hostel in Hanoi. There was a Whatsapp chat a few days before to discuss things, and I did get picked up directly from my hostel early in the morning on the first day of the tour. Definitely do this tour, amazing!

Can I do this loop in 1 or 2 days?
Written 6 May 2020
Locals who are familiar with the route and terrain can literally ride this loop in one or 2 days. However, for tourists, riding more than 300kms per day in the mountain road is not that fun. To complete the loop with rest time, photo time and some hiking and other activities besides riding motorbike you need at least 3 days. For many tourists who ride motorbikes, this 3-day schedule with preparation is advised. In our experience, this is a very fun and relaxed schedule that limits the stress from riding motorbike, as well as gives you some time to enjoy this stunning province rather than just passing through it.

What is Ha Giang - Eastern Loop Motorbike Adventure? Isn’t Ha Giang in the north?
Written 6 May 2020
Ha Giang is both a city and a province in Northern Vietnam. Ha Giang City is located right in the center of Ha Giang Province. The famous Ha Giang Motorbike Loop is the route that goes in the shape of a loop through Ha Giang City – Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Dong Van – Meo Vac – Du Gia – Ha Giang City. This loop is on the east side of the city, hence we call it Eastern Loop Motorbike Adventure. The further you are away from the city, the more beautiful and remote it becomes. The furthest point in the loop, if starting from Ha Giang, is Meo Vac City. This loop can be done by normal bike, scooter while people with limited riding experiences can ride (but please join our riding session). Since we also do an awesome off-road dirt bike trip in Ha Giang which is on the west side of Ha Giang City.
We’d like to make sure people don’t get confused. The Western Loop is much less developed hence you need to be an experienced or licensed motor-biker to do it there though the trip is amazing. We must use proper manual dirt mountain bike to do this trip. We hope you choose the right trip given your own ability. Otherwise the 2 trips can be done by sitting on the back of the our trained drivers. Ha Giang Adventure Team

I am an experienced and licensed biker. I live in HCMC. I plan to fly in from HCMC.
1. How can I get from Ha Noi Noi Bai Airport to Ha Giang?
2. What brand/models of motorbikes will we ride on?
3. Do you have three day tours for experienced bikers? I am not looking for off road.
4. How can I return to Noi Bai airport?
Thank you.
