Overview
Enjoy the calm water of Ixtapa Island, where you will have the opportunity to swim and practice other water sports in crystal clear water.

The Island has three beaches, all within a very short walking distance. Varadero and Cuachalalate beaches have calm water with sandy bottom where you can swim, and the Coral Beach on the back of the island it’s a great place to snorkel in shallow water because of its beautiful coral reef and wide variety of marine life.

The amount of fish on coral beach is so good that you will be able to see them right from the shore line.

On the island you will also have the chance to relax in a lounge chair with a constant breeze or take a short walk into the bushes to see the tame white tail deer.

On the way back from the Island we will visit at a lagoon full of crocodiles, iguanas, lagoon turtles and beautiful birds in a natural habitat.
Highlights
  • An all-inclusive, worry-free beach day on Ixtapa Island
  • Save time for relaxing with round-trip hotel pickup and ferry transfers
  • Enjoy three different beaches and some of the world's best snorkeling
  • Choose from four delicious local lunch menus (included)
What to Expect
Skip the hassle of arranging your own ferry transportation during this relaxing and all-inclusive day in Ixtapa Island, one of Mexico’s most tranquil resort towns. After front-door pickup from your hotel, enjoy a short and scenic drive and admire the sparkling blue waters of the Mexican Riviera on a relaxing boat ride. The tour visits no less than three different beaches, and you have plenty of free time to strap on some snorkeling gear (own expense), unwind in a lounge chair, or hit the waves. With one of the world’s largest coral reefs at your fingertips, you’re sure to spot some colorful marine life. After a tasty local lunch with your choice of chicken, quesadilla, or fresh seafood, stop at a lagoon to look for crocodiles, iguanas, and turtles in their natural habitat before heading back to your hotel.

You'll have your choice of restaurants, etc. We did go on a tour and the service was not the best at our restaurant. Also, if you wanted to go snorkeling (which I did), the vendor our tour used did NOT supply fins (why?) as other groups did have fins. In the future, we would

This was a great experience and the water was clearer than expected on the pacific side. Take the time to spend the day snorkeling and enjoy a relaxing lunch.

We went on an organized tour of 5 hours. For us this was too long. Great if like to snorkel, you can rent the snorkeling equipment for 150 pesos. Great massage for $18.00 usd. The lunch they served was not the greatest, and they Island does not have great facilities, quite

If you want to do it on your own inexpensively, take the bus from Zihuatanejo...( the same ones that pass the hotels in Ixtapa) to Playa Linda. The water taxi at Playa Linda to Ixtapa Island runs frequently. On the second stop at the island, get off and take a short walk to

I guess for the price this wasn't too bad. We were picked up (late, but this is Mexico) in a nice air conditioned van, and taken to the launch point for the ride over to the island. Our tour guide's English wasn't that great, considering she's a tour guide, but she was nice and
