Just completed my Advanced Open Water Diver class with Cabo Private Guide. I initially felt a little dubious about taking a completely solo on-line class component and then a seemingly detached in-person segment a week afterward at a vacation spot. However, my instructor/divemaster Ophelia, was clearly aware of the material I had completed and did a good job of targeting my hands-on dives to my specialty selections. She was efficient in her briefings, the way that she aligned skills practice with various dive sites, and even bringing along a second advanced diver to be available as a rescue prop. I am very satisfied with the one-on-one attention that I received and feel that I and PADI achieved our goals with the class. No money wasted. I am especially grateful (yet was unaware at the time) that the entire dive staff seemed to be collaborating to make me even more successful. After completing the class, I was sent out with Benjamin, a second divemaster during recreational dives where he guided me during additional deep dives including pretty quick negative buoyancy entry and descents. A second day of recreational diving exposed me to additional company staff and allowed Ophelia to continue drilling me on specific skills, ultimately permitting me to attend a two-tank outing to deep-water Gordo Banks on my last day. This includes a set of dive locations where Private Guide only takes advanced divers whom they have observed during check dives. The reward was floating in blue space at 100', in the company of some really nice people, while being observed by dozens of curious scalloped hammerheads and some really big black marlin. It's a nice feeling to be temporarily adopted by a group of people who prioritize your safety and betterment.

My wife and I decided to get away for a few hours and go snorkeling while on vacation. Ran across this operation and easily reserved a spot with them. My wife isn't the most keen individual, initially, with getting out in the ocean and Benjamin, our guide, was patient and attentive to her concerns. Captain Charlie and he took us away from the crowds and went to a spot that was just us. They were very easy to talk to and we felt comfortable from the first introduction. I highly recommend this operation to anyone looking to enjoy a nice few hours out on the water.

I was visiting Cabo for a bachelorette party, and I was hoping to get in some dives before I met with the other girls. Everyone at Cabo Private Guide was super kind and accommodating! I was a solo diver, and I usually only dive about once a year as an add-on to a vacation. This was perfect! They let me join a twilight and night dive near Neptune's Finger and Pelican Rock for my first day, and the next day I did my very first "wet" Nitrox dive at Gordo Banks, and it was also my deepest dive yet! We saw quite a few hammerheads (yay!) and lots of sharks overall. My dive masters, Ophelia and David, on both days were incredibly kind, patient, and safe. They were also really great at helping me get outfitted, since I haven't dove in cold waters for yeeeaaarrsss. I also paid extra for a personal photographer, Pepe, who was FANTASTIC! He was fun and got tons of great photos for me to add to my album. HIGHLY recommend hiring a photographer - it allows you to just enjoy the experience. I was definitely the least experienced diver on the boat on both days, but I felt like everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely go with Cabo Private Guide again in the future. My friend and I have dived worldwide and this is one of the best dive shops and locations anywhere. First experience was in March 2024 - crossed 5 items off my dive bucket list. Based on the first experience, decided to return in June 2024. Everyone from Chloe in the office to our dive masters, Ophelia and David were very professional, competent and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure we had great experiences. If you have the time to go to Cabo Pulmo or Gordo Banks, highly recommend these locations in addition to the dive sites near Cabo San Lucas. We will be back in Jan 2025 for more diving.

One of the best dive shops I have been to. Communication through Whatsapp was great and even stayed late to confirm my booking the next day. Service was exceptional during the dive and saw it all just during the dive in the bay: rays, guitar fish, tons of puffers. Would recommend a hood if you're susceptible to cold as water was deceptively cold even out in Cabo San Lucas bay.

Booked a SCUBA diving package with Cabo Private Guide and I had the best experience during my 11 dives. Everyone I came in contact with were very competent, capable, and professional. Chloe handling the scheduling with good communication. The guides Ofeilia and David were very helpful and informative. The boats and captains performed well. Shuttle driver had a run in with a stray dog, but got us safely to our destinations and delicious empanadas on the way to Cabo Pulmo. When I was attacked and bitten by an albatross after surfacing from a dive, David did not hesitate in coming to my aid. Ofei worked with me to sharpen some skills that I needed to improve on and pointed out the two Guineafowl puffer fish in a lip lock together. I even got a reply from the business owner about an inquiry! I felt well taken care of the entire time. Thank you all for a memorable trip and see you next time!

I highly highly recommend cabo private guide if you're in town and looking to dive or snorkel! This is a 5* top tier dive operator, with enthusiastic and professional staffs from reservations (Chloe) to dive guides (David)!! Chloe was always patient in answering our endless questions about our booking, while David was always making sure we were comfortable and safe in the waters and also pointing out marine life that we would have otherwise missed!! We did the summer mobula ray package with 2 days of diving at the corridor and cabo pulmo national park and 1 day of snorkeling with mobula rays at la ventana. We had such an amazing time seeing large schools of fishes while diving but the highlight was definitely snorkeling with a large school of mobula rays! We definitely lucked out with the wildlife but there's no going wrong with this operator as they will do their best to make your experience an amazing one! Tours are also conducted in very small groups (2-4 people) and are therefore very personal!

Had a private dive with Le Roux, he was very knowledgeable and kind. I felt safe the entire dive. I started a big nervous but as soon as we were in the water he made sure I was comfortable. Le Roux pointed out marine life and was communicative during the dive.

Great dive shop. Ophelia was great. We didn’t see sharks but did see lots of fish and good marine life. We got picked up from our hotels in Cabo San Lucas which was very convenient. The tacos for lunch were also very nice.

My wife and I had a 5-star experience with Cabo Private Guide last weekend. We wanted to see the Mobula Ray migration during our visit to Cabo San Lucas. Chloe was very helpful in directing us to the right tour - the Mobula Rays had not made it down to Cabo San Lucas yet, but were in La Ventana. Chloe helped us arrange a private snorkeling tour in La Ventana with transportation provided to and from our resort in Cabo San Lucas. The actual snorkeling experience was amazing. Our guide Ophelia was very knowledgeable, super thoughtful, and very fun! We were able to swim with hundreds - perhaps thousands - of Mobula Rays while also seeing many dolphins, sea lions, some beautiful coral reefs, and even a hammerhead shark! Ophelia took some amazing pictures and videos on the GoPro for us too! We would highly recommend working with Cabo Private Guide and would like to thank both Chloe and Ophelia for helping us check off a bucket list item snorkeling with the Mobula Rays!

I did the Gordo Banks Dive with Ophelia and it was amazing. Everything was well organised from beginning to end and we had a great dive! Safety instructions were helpful and the dive was really relaxed. Also the girls from the office were suuper helpful and nice. I had a lot of questions about organizing all my daytrips and they helped me a lot and tried zo make it work for me - absolut legends!🙌 Highly recommend!

Had the greatest time and the views were amazing. Ophelia was my guide and she was awesome and very knowledgeable about the area. I got my advanced open water certification with Ophelia and then had an amazing experience diving with sharks at Gordo Banks. Ophelia and Lauren were amazing with my wife diving for the first time as well. Top notch group with safety in mind at all times. I will definitely dive with them again!!
