Coba Ruins and Punta Laguna Monkey Reserve Day Tour from Tulum
USD 190.00
Overview

If you’ve got an appetite for adventure, then this exhilarating 8-hour excursion to the Coba and Punta Laguna Nature Reserve is perfect for you. Family-friendly and suitable for all ages, this tour combines Mayan history with cycling, kayaking, ziplining, rappelling, and swimming in a cenote. Climb Nohoch Mul, the highest pyramid in Mexico’s Mayan kingdom, and observe a purification ceremony performed by a Mayan priest. Lunch and hotel pickup and drop-off in Tulum are included on this small-group tour, limited to eight people.

What to Expect

Begin your adventure with pickup at your Tulum hotel, where you’ll board an air-conditioned vehicle destined for the archaeological site of Coba. After a 40-minute drive, you’ll arrive at the Mayan ruins and receive a historical introduction to the area from your guide.

Hop onto a bicycle for the scenic ride to Nohoch Mul, the highest pyramid in the Mayan kingdom, and Coba's crowning feature. You’ll have the chance to climb the landmark and enjoy panoramic vistas from the top.

Your next stop is the traditional village of Punta Laguna, where you’ll witness a Mayan priest performing a purification ritual. Then, stroll through Punta Laguna Natural Reserve, home to a population of monkeys, exotic bird species, and excavated ruins, until you reach a lagoon, and kayak to the opposite side.

Prepare for your adrenaline levels to surge as you glide over tropical scenery on a zipline and then rappel down the limestone walls of a cenote into crystal clear water.

Refresh with a swim, stop to purchase artisan souvenirs, and then conclude your tour with drop-off at your Tulum hotel.
