Coba Ruins with Cenote and Lunch from Tulum
USD 150.00
Overview
Discover the ruins of Coba, an ancient Mayan city located deep in the jungle, on this day trip from Tulum. Explore this mostly unexcavated site by mountain bike or rickshaw, and if you still have energy, scamper up the 120 steep steps of Nohoch-Mul pyramid for fantastic views from the top. Then, cool off with a swim at a beautiful cenote. Enjoy a delicious lunch of traditional Mexican fare before you’re transported back to Tulum.
What to Expect
Your Coba Ruins day trip starts as you meet your group in the morning at a central location in Tulum. From there, you will head to the ruins and learn from a local Mayan guide about the history of the area. You will see the pyramids, temples and ball courts used as far back as 200AD. After exploring the ruins, you will get on mountain bikes or rickshaws and ride to Nohoch-Mul pyramid. If you feel adventurous, you can even climb all 120 steep steps and enjoy the jungle views from the top.

After this, you will swim in the absolute best cenote in Coba, Tamcach-ha. Two platforms have been built for those who would like to jump into the cave from 30ft (9m) or 15 ft (5m). For those who prefer a more casual swim, the platform at water level is a great option. After a refreshing swim, you will stop for a traditional Mexican lunch before heading back to the Tulum office location, arriving at approximately 4pm.
