Overview
Drive a 4WD through the Yucatan jungle on an adventurous tour from Playa del Carmen or Riviera Maya that explores a lush forest. You’ll get behind the wheel, visit a local ranch, and cool off in a freshwater cenote, watching for native plants and animals throughout your travels. Pickup and drop-off is available at hotels in selected areas. The tour makes the outing a breeze by providing all the necessary protective gear.
What to Expect
Meet a driver at your Playa del Carmen or Riviera Maya hotel for morning or afternoon departure. Then, travel to a jungle buggy base camp that’s 10 minutes from downtown Playa del Carmen.

Suit up with everything you need for the off-road adventure, including goggles and a bandana, and begin the 3-hour drive into the jungle. Listen to the sounds of nature and revving engines as you tackle the jungle terrain, and arrive at a local ranch for a snack and swim break.

Jump into the cool cenote, grabbing snorkel gear to see beneath the surface, and then dry off for the trip back out of the jungle. This jungle 4WD trip concludes with return transfer to your hotel.

It isn't a "commercial" cenote. It is private on private land that is owned by ranchers I believe. Not sure of the name.

Hi, Our booking included hotel pick up, we stayed at the Bluebay Grand. The Cenote was shallow at one end to deep at the other, but nothing scary about it really, it was really nice and also not too big. One tip is that... More
