The staff was really on point with their timing, I never had an empty drink in my hand We were welcome by the staff and right after we departure they lighted up the party and everyone got in the mood We skipped the snorkel since my friends did not care much for anything other than the party At the beach club we danced and had many drinks, the food was pretty good and the music was lit

Disappointed and did not meet the expectations they presented
My itinerary for the excursion did not match with the actual times that we met and departed the marina (it was an hour later than stated). My information also said that we would have free drinks and free food on the boat; we had drinks, but there was not any food on the boat. The snorkeling was too short, only lasting 15-20 minutes. The beach club was nice. There was tequila tasting and a buffet, as well as a DJ on the beach when we arrived. They strongly encouraged us to join the hour long golf cart tour, boasting 3 stops with amazing views. This was a total waste of money, and I would not recommend this. When we returned to the beach club, all of the buffet food and tequila tasting was gone. The DJ was also gone. They said that we could use the paddle boards and kayaks, which was not true. There wasn't anyone at the equipment and not all the equipment was present, so it was useless. We had another hour at the beach club with no music and nothing to do. The boat trip back to Cancun was fun, with music, dancing, drinks, and tequila. The staff on the boat was fun, yet many times they were inattentive and seemed to be encouraging unsafe actions (it was really windy with rough waters, and it was not safe to even walk around the boat, yet they were encouraging us to do so). Overall, I was disappointed in this excursion and would not book it again.

          Worst guided tour ever
The photo in this advert is rather misleading. Only one lagoon turned out to be worth the visit. The first two were murky, full of screaming kids, unappealing. We could not bring ourselves to even dip our toes into the dirty waters. The tour guide was rather rude, hardly explained anything. We were all cramped onto a large sized bus with painfully narrow seats and hardly any leg room. The Aircon was on full blast all throughout the entire journey which made it so unpleasant, it left us shivering to our teeth! The driver and guide refused to turn it down despite our pleas. There was no WiFi internet service to kill the time for the rather long boring journey. One could not even watch the landscapes as the seats were so narrow that we were unable to move right or left. The guide dropped us in a horrid filthy restaurant. We were offered a terrible breakfast, I would not even offer it to a dog, we wasted a very long time in this dingy place having to wait for those who opted to take a dip in the murky waters. Our second stop was no better, another crappy restaurant overlooking another boring lagoon, nothing to rave about, full of concrete and swings, crowded with a lot of small kids. We were forced to stay there for another good boring 2 hours. We were driven to another lagoon which was much better than the other two. At least it has clear waters. They dumped us in the shallow part for one hour, unable to swim properly. The boat trip itself lasted for 45 minutes only. Finally, we were dropped into another dingy restaurant. We were offered a terrible inedible bland undercooked soggy greasy fish meal, a sprinkle of sweetened lettuce salad and stale rice. We then headed back to Tulum, another long harrowing freezing cold uncomfortable lengthy endless journey. The toilet on the bus was dirty, had no soap, no toilet paper and no hand towels. Stay away. It’s a total con and a rip off. Total waste of time. In conclusion, the entire journey focused on 3 bad restaurants with bad food, bad atmosphere and hardly any fun or adventure or educational activity or experience. A total waste of time and money

          Lovely Sunset Cruise
Excellent tour, especially the attentive crew, Willy Wonka, the talented, entertaining Saxophonist, the nice lady host/server and Captain of the catamaran, that steered us safely to Isla Mujeres and back. My husband recently had knee surgery and the crew was very helpful and patient with him during access and egress, on and off the boat. We look forward to sailing with them during our next visit to Cancun.

          What an amazing day
Our guide, Christian, was amazing and engaging. We learned soooo much about the Mayan civilization prior to arriving at the ruins and even more through our guide while there. The cenotes were beautiful and such a unique experience. It was a great day and opened up lots of conversation in our family.

A long but mostly enjoyable day
The cenote il kil was beautiful, definitely worth a visit. The second cenote was okay. Overall had a good experience despite the negatives. I wasn't quiet expecting us to go from tulum to playa and then from there. Otherwise I would have booked another tour going just from tulum direct. It was a 14.5 hour day. I was a bit disappointed that at the end of the day we had to take extra guests which added an hour to our trip, who were all dropped off at their hotels. Then we were dropped in tulum to walk home in the rain at a main super market. Lastly, I feel like things weren't explained well in English which seems to be a common theme in Tulum, probably no point booking a tour in English.

An amazing, beautiful tourist trap that will cost you dearly
Let me be very clear here from the start, Mexico is an amazing place and Tulum has some of the most amazing natural sights you can see. The Mexican people are generally wonderful people as well. But this place, Tulum is a place you visit once if you are very careful and very adventurous and never go back! This is the worst tourist trap I have ever been to, and I have travelled all over the world to over 20 countries! People there have become so desperate and greedy! The stories of police stopping tourists and doing random searches that make your money and valuables disappear are true, I saw it. Literally everyone in Tulum overcharges you for everything. 4000 pesos for a day taxi with driver? Yup. Booked a tour and the agent cheated us, charging additional fees that were not mentioned in the listing. They could not be reached by phone or email to find out pickup time, only contacting us last minute to let us know. We were charged an additional 'environmental fee' of $27 US dollars per person. This I can accept., but what was not acceptable was the agent insisting on charging us this additional fee bringing the total extra to over $100 US. To make it worse, they added another $10 randomly when we got on the bus. Be prepared to pay! But you may decide it's worth it. Maybe not the best place to go with kids...

          Good experience but Over-Rated
Getting away from mainland shore and the water is cleaner. We did see dolphins and turtles from the tour boat, but once we got in the water, the fish and aquatic life were minimal. (A smaller group may have been better.) And the ‘coral reef’ the guide took us to seemed non-existent. I did see the biggest turtle in the bay at Contoy island, but there were more fish and stingrays in the water at the beach on Isla Mujeres. The trip was OK, and we saw Hermit Crabs and Iguanas on Contoy Island, but spending an afternoon at Playa Norte on Isla Mujeres was more exciting for a fraction of the price.

          Must do !!!!!!!
Wow ! This place is brilliant. My family consisting of me my wife our 3 sons aged 21 /17/ 7 all had a fantastic time at this place . There’s nothing like this in the Uk. Get the photo package up front they are definitely worth it . We got there for just before 10am and left at 5pm and the time just flew by . I was so impressed with the all inclusive food choices at the restaurant it was such a refreshing chance to the usual overpriced crap at any of the UK attractions that we have . Any family looking for a great day out don’t miss out on this trip ! You won’t regret it .

          It was OK but...
The beach was great. Clear water, the tour was awesome but, you must definitely take repellent for mosquitos. Otherwise, they'll eat you alive. NO KIDDING. It's a virgin island so, no drinking water, no running water so the bathrooms were awful. They could find a way to have them clean somehow. You're not allowed to take glass bottles but we saw some people from other tours with beer bottles so, yeah, maybe a little bit more control. Don't let this island become like Isla Mujeres!

          Worth a visit!
We booked this through TUI holidays at the hotel so the transfer was included. We had a great day out and it was worth the entrance fee. I was a bit disappointed with the snuba in the Cenote at $104 (US). It was a short dive and you barely made it into the cave. I’m an experienced scuba diver so that’s may be why I felt it was poor. I won’t be repeating that error again. The rest of the park was good fun and the food was included and it to was pretty good. The kids had a great time and were barely out of the water all day.

          Only for Spanish Speakers
I had booked the English Guide tour and the guide was mostly Spanish, he didn’t really bother much with translations. If you don’t speak good Spanish this is not a tour for you. You will miss instructions, explanations, and other tid -bits.

XelHa pronounced as Shell Ha is a water based eco park so if you or the kids cant or dont want to swim DONT come on this trip - if you like swimming, zip wires, water slides, cliff jumping - great food and great drink (all inclusive once in) then this is the place for you and the family - only 15 minutes from Bahia resort is a bonus if you are staying there.
You dont have to buy any of the picture packages but one tip I will give you is you MUST have a waterproof case for your phone to "really" enjoy what the park has to offer re photo opportunities.

My favourite place to go and have a really good time. Food is amazing and free all day (no just one meal), they have 3 or 4 restaurants so you can chose what you like. Is all fun to be there. Price is worth it. I would come every day and never get bored. I highly recommend this place.

If you love water go!! This park is worth the trip. We booked the swim with dolphins and it was fantastic.
Lots of walking though. It can take 20+ min to walk from activity to activity. Don’t bother to snorkel the lazy river. It is murky and really not a lot to see. Snorkeling is best done where the flags are in the water. The flags mark the best places to see fish and they are great spots.

Water slide is super fun. We have been on better at Disney but it’s worth the ride.

They include lockers. Bring dry clothes to ride home in. Depending where you stay it can be a really long bus ride in wet suits after a long day.

You need to wear biodegradable sunscreen to help preserve the natural habitat. I wear it anyway so it wasn’t a problem for us. We bought natural bug spray but didn’t even need it. Water shoes are a big help but not absolutely necessary.

Go! You won’t regret it. The reviews that say they ran out of stuff to do must not have read the map. We stayed all day and still couldn’t fit it all in.

Many congrats !

I went with my daughter & son in law yesterday. We went down the lazy !! river which was quite good to start off with, but half way down there was a terrible current my daughter & son in law managed to paddle their dingy to one of the jettys to get off,but I was stuck on my inflatable paddling against the strong current, fortunately my daughter swam out to help me ashore. Not a lifeguard insight,I suggest that the life jackets have whistles attached & more life guards around. Also it's not all inclusive you have to pay extra for any other activities you do. Wont go again.

I visited Xelha (pronounced shellha) with my children grandchildren and a group of twenty plus year olds. The ride through the mangroves should have been a calm and peaceful ride, however, my 6yr old granddaughter was soooo scared. Once through into the wider river she was fine. I have no idea why or what she was frightened of.
The river flows very slowly and takes about 11/2 hrs to get through.
Many challenges on the way around with zip wires and rope walks.
The food was very good which is inclusive in the price.
Saw manatees and dolphins They looked healthy but in small environments
The snorkelling wasn’t as good as I thought it was going to be.
There is a 20 dollar fine for any equipment you loose and there are many many mask and fins in the river!!!!
The cenote was in poor condition and rather disappointing. If you want to see a good cenote go elsewhere.
I’m sure that at one point it was a geographical wonderland but less so to accommodate the thousands of visitors that visit there now.
