About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Just-InK0240 contributionsAvoid this agency! We spent a terrible time!!!This was our worst experience, wasting our time on vacation in Cancun. We were instructed that we would be collected at 6:50 am at our hotel lobby and they showed up 1 hour later! The person who went for us was sweating and looking awful. We were in a van getting suffocated since the air-conditioned was barely working. We decided to decline our participation because of all the failures and asked for a refund, which never happened. Just avoid this guys!Written 6 October 2024
- 936cathl0 contributionsNice trip and Great Staff/ServiceThe trip is okay, I think the trip is overrated for the price we pay per person. We had a boat ride to isla mujeres, 25 minutes snorkel, which both were nice, then had a small assorted food plate as a small lunch along with an open bar (which was ok nothing too good) then swam for 30 minutes in the ocean which we enjoyed and had 3 hours to explored the island by ourselves which the island itself doesn’t have much to offer unless you pay 500-800 pesos for 1-2hrs for the golf cart rental to go to the south part of the island. I think for the price we pay its just too much for the above mentioned activities. Just a thought it didn’t satisfy what we payed for. But then KUDOS to the customer service/ transportation/logistics department as we left a pair of black sandals that they were able to drop it off at the hotel before going to the airport. I appreciate the customer service and logistics team KUDOS to the team. The overall experience was still good just those few comments they have to improve.Written 6 October 2024
- 407harjinderk0 contributionsBitter experience with easyjet (not easy at all)`Utmost shocking and horrible experience with easy jet from Manchester to Geneva. Easy jet just decided themselves to cancel the flight on the planned weekend day and forced to fly ahead on week day instead without even bothering to call us about the changes made. We ended up loosing our flight as planned as didn't even realised that flight was flying ahead of scheduled time. And when checking in online then it was not even accepting any details even a month earlier when they emailed us to check in repeatedly. Strongly recommend to check your flight timing before you fly else could risk loosing your precious holidays altogether. Don't rely on Easy Jet flights!! They can cancel whenever they want and if you have to fly then probably book just before flying! Atleast you might have more chances to fly if you book at later date rather than well in advance !Written 26 August 2024
- Vacation077254597940 contributionsBuyer b warnedWe booked through Nexus tours. Do not buy this. The Island is beautiful and worth visiting but this was not a snorkeling experience, it was hurry up jump in, hurry swim between all the other anchored boats and passing boats, hurry, hurry, keep up and we are back to the boat. Crazy! Also, how the excursion on the island is presented as if it’s w us or not at all and you’ll b bored otherwise. The audacity to go person to person collecting a tip. No thanksWritten 23 July 2024
- khairuld20240 contributionsAmazing experience!Amazing experience! Would go to Selvatica again and definitely recommend the place to my friends and family. Shout out to all the staff (those names I could not remember one by one) that took care of the entire trip and activities.Written 14 May 2024
- J7102CPellier0 contributionswould not recommendThis tour lasts 13-14 hours, but understand that you will be in a van driving around around Q. Roo for 8-10 hours of that. You only spend 1-2 hours at each location, and then drive 45 min to an hour to get to the next stop. The cenotes are underwhelming compared to other ones I have visited. These two are pretty touristy. Bring your own goggles/masks and life jackets because the tour does not provide them. If you choose to rent a life jacket (and it is required at one of the cenotes) bring pesos, because the location will charge you extra for using USD. You are unable to rent goggles/masks. A lot of other tours will provide these items for you. I think the tour guide experience depends on who you get, because some of the reviews say positive things. Our tour guide said a few things about where to go and then went and sat somewhere to wait. He didn't explain anything about the locations and their significance. The beach they took us to was covered in seaweed 12 inches high. There was a large volunteer cleanup crew with dumpsters and boats making it so that we couldn't swim in the water. We were also at the beach so early, the beach clubs/restaurants weren't open. They should have changed the itinerary instead of taking us to this beach. I am sure it's beautiful normally. The only star goes to the lagoon, which was nice, and the lunch was decent.Written 29 April 2024
- eliasZ3560KO0 contributionsOverpriced and overratedOnce welcomed we were offered coffe & juice, that was nice! The first guide explained how things would go, it was very clear and he brought it in a nice and funny way. A propper welcome! Afterwards, we had to pay 36 dollars for a sunscreen that would not endanger the sealife and choral reefs. They had a sign for the substances that weren't allowed to be in your average sunscreen. After checking we thought our sunscreen was legal but some guide made up that a substance in there wasn't allowed so we were forced to buy it. 1,5 hours later, we finally could board our catamaran. The crew wasn't really excited or didn't really connect with the passengers at all. They had a crappy communication system that malfunctioned and therefore we couldnt really hear a thing. The first stop was the snorkeling adventure. This was an absolute joke. The guide just dropped into the water and told us to follow. It was a group of people following a dude that kept yelling 'just amazing' (name of the boat). We came all the way from Europe, excited to do some propper snorkeling. We ended up seeing nothing but seagrass and a couple of statues. For me, this part wasn't even worth a dollar. Wouldn't recommend. After the snorkeling, they offered us a first drink. We saw in the revieuws that the drinks were okay but not anything special. I can confirm. We got a couple of drinks but there was no 'open bar' experience. Still the crew didn't give us a propper welcome. For me it looked like they didn't like their job and were pushing throug another day. Finally we made it to the Island, there we we had a giant buffet and free drinks. This part was lovely. 100% Would recommend! After 3 hours we went back on the boat and went to another island where you could buy souvenirs and stuff. We didn't really bother and went for a drink. I would rather have a longer stay at the first island. In general the communication and transportation was immaculate, the trip itself wasn't worth the money. Kind regards EliaWritten 22 April 2024
- markwN6298AU0 contributionsGreat TimeWe did this trip as a family of 4 which included my 2 daughters 7 & 9. Angel Franco was our guide for this trip and made sure we all had a great time along with the rest of the crew. It was a great way to go and see isla mujeres which is well worth a visit and had more then enough time to explore the island before heading back. Lunch and service on board was really good and would definitely recommend.Written 15 April 2024
- Shanice B0 contributionsGreat activities! We had Renaldo as our transport driver and he was absolutely amazing!! The excursion itself was run by extreme adventures and we had the most wonderful time - it was the right amount of time for each activity and was a very thrilling experience. First we had ATV, then tequila tasting. Sante was our tequila tasting guide and he was very knowledgeable about the tequila! He sold the tequila well, and whilst slightly expensive it’s the best/real tequila and it tasted real good. We then had a snack handmade by someone for the Mayan village herself. Following this, we had zip lining and cenotes and tacos. Our photographer Alex took some really beautiful pictures which we absolutely felt compelled to buy. Unfortunately, for only air-dropped photos, these cost us 75 USD. Pablo was our main tour guide for all activities and he really made the experience, making everyone feel safe and engaged. I would definitely recommend this organisation for activities in Cancun! Thank you!Written 31 March 2024
- _kareng04940 contributionsThe best day ever!!An unforgettable experience! I recently had the opportunity to enjoy a complete tour at the park and a speedboat ride on the caribbean sea. Shout out to the amazing crew that made my day the most fun I've ever had. I am afraid of ziplines however the guides were supportive at all times and ending the day relaxing at the cenote were magical, while the speed and excitement of the speedboat and atv left me breathless. I would recommend this tour for sure to anyone looking for a unique adventure in the Riviera and the Caribbean!Written 26 March 2024
- maxlN4930IB0 contributionsHighly recommend the tour and this serviceAmazing sites and very knowledgeable guides. Laguna Rosada is very pretty and get to go up to a viewpoint of the whole site. Rio Lagartos you get to cruise on a speed boat and see wild flamingos, crocodiles, pelicans fly up to the boat, and many more wild animals. Tasty and filling authentic lunch at oldest restaurant in town. Crocodile farm was crazy, being able to feed and take pictures right up next to the crocodiles. Every guide was nice and friendly and spoke good English!Written 8 January 2024
- mommalou40 contributionsA beautiful day on the water…One of our best weather days in Cancun was our catamaran trip to Isla Mujeres. We stay at Villa del Palmar & normally take the local Punta Sam Ferry across, so this was a nice switch up. We got the boat at the dock, just off the resort beach, so it was super convenient. The staff were friendly & hospitable. The boat was clean. A few from our group enjoyed the snorkeling. Everyone wore a waist floatation device, as required. We enjoyed our day on the water to the fullest! I will list a couple of “CONS” though: - docking fee to be paid before boarding @ an additional $20USD per person. We did know this in advance but an additional expense nonetheless - we were told maybe 22 people on board and that’s not the case. Boat felt very crowded & overbooked. - two hours on the island is not enough time if you are wanting to explore and rent golf carts. Felt rushed. - drinks are quite watered down but that’s probably not a bad thing! LOLWritten 2 January 2024
- boramc20210 contributionsFun day tripIt was long trip to get to the pink lake, Omar was the best travel guide! He knows how to make the road trip safe and fun Pink lake was pretty And boat riding was great! Saw too many crocodiles! It was almost 11 hours of trip, but not boring at all!Written 1 November 2023
- GorgeousDreams0 contributionsWorth the driveTour operator was very passionate about the things we were going to see and did a great job communicating. I really enjoyed visiting the PInk Lakes and felt that it was a one of a kind scenery. Really cool seeing the pink flamingos in the wild, but wished we could have gotten closer. Otherwise, a very good experience.Written 3 July 2023
- B5669WGscotts0 contributionsScamWhere do I start with this review… completely car crash of a tour. - told pick up time was 5:55am to which the driver turned up at 6:15am - told us the travel time (which is stated in the tour description) was 3 hours to first stop, took 6 and a half hours, as the tour bus driver and tour guide decided to pick up random people on route and drop them to another location before making our journey. - tour guide allowed vendors enter the coach to try and sell plastic phone cases to people onboard. - served a “breakfast box” which was in fact a tiny ham sandwich with a piece of chewing gum… - tour guide made no interaction with everyone onboard, all he done was speak mostly in Spanish and anyone from Middle of coach back couldn’t hear anything. - told us we had to pay a Federal Tax as soon as we walked on the coach, and then advised I was only able to pay by cash or with a physical bank card which we didn’t have present. (So agreed to pay once back at the hotel at the end of the tour) this should be included in the price anyway 🤷🏼♂️ - our “lunch” was at 3:30pm-4pm as clearly the tour was running behind schedule, so no food available until then. - when arriving to the boat tour with crocodiles in water, they had no life jacket for my son, as they stated it wasn’t needed which I found hilarious… - arrived to the crocodile sanction where they only spoke Spanish language, so no idea what they where saying the whole time. - then for another 5 hour drive back to our hotel, luckily our hotel was the first drop off point back. We then get on to paying the Federal Tax, which the tour guide followed and waited at my reception, once I grabbed my bank card and returned to the lobby, he told me it was €19 per person, which is incorrect as they advertise it being €16 per person, and then once paid he took a photo of my bank card without my consent, and told me this was proof of ID??? A picture of my bank card….. when I asked him what the hell he was doing, he then showed me pictures of other peoples bank cards explaining it was for ID purposes, I have since rang my bank and cancelled this card so these fraudsters can’t try and use my card. Also note when contacting this agency through trip adviser, they message back in very rude manors and are not interested in helping (have plenty of screens shots available). Please note this was all with a 4 year which they took no duty of care.Written 23 June 2023
