          All-Time Favorite Tour
This might have been my all-time favorite tour! Our guide, Roberto, was incredible! He was knowledgeable about the Mayan culture (He is Mayan) and was also very well versed in the scriptures. But he didn't put things together that just didn't work. (Like saying this WAS a Nephite temple) We also took the Chichen Ita Tour with this same company and had a wonderful time. They have a max of 12 people, so we didn't have to be on a tour bus with a million other people. All the tours for which we hired Alma Tours was incredible! And since we booked two tours, they provided transportation from our hotel to church for free. Lunch and the Cenote were also fabulous! We were able to eat authentic food and still feel safe eating it. If we go back to Cancun, they're the only company we'll use!

          Thoroughly Impressed
I was skeptical before going in the tour but it was the highlight of our trip. The trip from our resort was about 2.5 hours but the vehicles were nice and very comfortable. Our guides Mario and Ricardo were amazing. I was very impressed with them both and appreciated their approach and thoughtfulness. Highly recommend!!

          Ricardo was a great guide!
Ricardo did an amazing job, the entire day was awesome and informative! Be prepared for a long drive, it was about a 4 hour round trip, but it’s worth it!

          Amazing day!
Our day with Ricardo was awesome! He was on time, very kind and personable, and took great care of us. Learning about some of the connections between the Book of Mormon and the Mayan culture and religion was fascinating and definitely a testimony building experience. It was a great day spent with our teenagers who normally aren’t interested in historical sites. The cenote was fun, lunch was delicious (best beans and rice we’ve ever had), and we added a quick stop in Vallodolid! Thank you for an amazing day!

Great tour and well worth it
Insightful and awesome tour! Loved the references to the Book of Mormon people and the Mayan culture and history. Our tour guide Mario was inspiring and funny. Highly recommend! We went to Chacchoben on our cruise excursion from Costa Maya.

          Wonderful Tours, Fantastic Guide
We used Alma's LDS Tours for almost everything on our family week-long trip to Cancun: the shuttle to and from the airport, two full-day tours (Tulum, Coba, cenote / Chichen Itza, Ek Balam, cenote Ik Kil), and a ride to and from church. We were also lucky enough to have the same guide every time - Ricardo was wonderful! Tours: Ricardo shared so many amazing facts about all of the ruins we saw as well as how they compare and connect to other ruins in the surrounding areas. His explanation of connections to the scriptures were really cool (especially in Tulum), but his overall knowledge about Mayan history and culture was really impressive. He also was able to navigate the sites with timing and order of visit such that we often had spots completely to ourselves. He also helped us map out buying souvenirs so we didn't get caught in tourist traps and could make the best use of our time and money. Pricing: After doing a lot of research on different tours (and having six people to pay for!) I really appreciated how Alma's LDS Tours truly included everything in the price you pay up front except for tips and souvenirs. So many other tours look cheaper, but if you read the fine print, they don't include entrance fees to sites or life jackets for cenotes or city taxes or something. And there are often other fees you won't find out about until you get there (we got stuck with that later on a snorkeling tour with another company). We never had that problem with these tours with Ricardo. Everything was handled for us seamlessly so we could just enjoy the tour without having to worry about anything else. Safety & Comfort: Ricardo made sure that we had plenty of water and stopped for breaks whenever needed. The van was air-conditioned and Ricardo was a great driver. We never went anywhere where we didn't feel safe and fully taken care of. Food: The food at the restaurants we stopped at was absolutely delicious - way better than the food we were getting at the resort. It was buffet-style and included one drink per person, all included in the price of the tour. All in all, we highly recommend Alma's LDS Tours!

          Just do it.
Josue was so informative. He shared a rich history of the ruins and tied everything we were seeing back to the scriptures. We had planned to go to Chichen Itza but Carlos recommended the Cobá ruins and cenote instead as being more pertinent to our interests. It was also very shady and quite a large set of ruins. Do be aware that the trip is best if you are prepared to do some biking. Lunch was delicious.

          Friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating. Loved it!
We loved our tour of Tulum with Alma’s Tours. Luis was a great communicator and easy to find. He was conscientious of our time since we had to hustle to get back to our cruise ship. We loved the perspective he had, especially the Maya and symbols of Tulum relating to possible Book of Mormon connections. It was so interesting! Definitely a favorite part of our trip. Alma’s Tours was also so accommodating when our original plan to see chachobben was derailed by our ship not being able to dock. We were so glad we were still able to do a tour with this company. Thank you, Luis! We hope to come again!

          Memorable family Easter
We loved our experience with Alma tours. The perspective on the Book of Mormon was outstanding and brought new insights to our family. Luis was an excellent tour guide and we would highly recommend him to anyone. He was conscientious of our needs while taking our young granddaughter with us, and very kind to our family. Now that we have returned home our kids all say that was one of their biggest highlights of our trip. Thank you for some cherished memories.

Fantastic tour of the Mayan ruins
This was so fun! Luis picked us up at our hotel, drove us to Ek Balam- we were basically the first ones there and had the whole place to ourselves most of the time. Luis was so knowledgeable about Mayan history as well as general information about Mexico and the Yucatán peninsula and was able to answer all of our questions. The ruins were amazing, we are so glad we came! The preservation of the Mayan temple at ek Balam was incredible. After Ek Balam, the lunch was good and the cenote was so cool! There were very clean bathrooms and changing rooms. Luis was a fantastic guide and we felt safe and comfortable and taken care of the whole time. We hope to come back and visit some of the other ruins with Alma’s Tours!

          Amazing experience
Exceptional experience to Ek Balam and Chichén Itzá. Our guide, Mario, was very good and explained history and culture of the Maya as preserved in these historic sites. Interesting to see how many things we know about the history of the Nephites and Lamanites that mesh with archeological discoveries of the Maya. Temple of Kukulkán is breath-taking. Missed the spring equinox by a few days but didn't miss the extra crowds it draws as well. If visiting Cancun or Playa del Carmen, would definitely recommend adding this to your travel plans.

          Spring Break family vacation.
This tour was awesome. Luis was our guide and was amazing. My teenagers weren’t thrilled for “site seeing” but loved every minute of it and Luis did an amazing job of keeping their attention and relating the Mayan history and culture to possible BOM history. Restaurant was good food. Cenote was a great cook off and experience for everyone. Luis thanks for an awesome adventure and memories.

The adventure that we experienced with our Tour Guide, Luis, was absolutely magnificent. When you think of the perfect tour, multiply that by 10, and you'll get our experience. We first went to the Cobá Ruins, which doesn't seem like it would be that exciting upon entering the park, but when we went through the entrance and started on our bikes, the stories and experiences of the ancient americas came to life.

After Cobá we travelled to Chichén Itzá, where we were able to cut the lines and learned very quickly that heat and humidity do not mix well. At Chichén Itzá and Cobá, we felt the presence of God with us. We felt that what Luis was teaching was true and that early mayan civilization was heavily influenced by Christ and His ministry in the americas.

We were able to recognize at the end of the tour that even if all the evidence of the Book of Mormon stories that Luis taught us was false, that the events that occurred in the Book of Mormon are true because of the witness that we receive each time we read it.

The delightful and uplifting tour, ended with going to a cenote, showing our tricks off the diving board, and just having a great time. The whole experience was just superb and we would highly recommend Luis as your tour guide as he was professional, understanding, thoughtful, and attentive!

We had an amazing day touring Ek Balam and Coba with Luis as our guide. We keep coming back to Ek Balam because of the ability to climb the ruin and the amazing preservation of the art and statues. Coba is fun with the bike ride options. We love Alma tours and recommend them to all our friends. We wouldn't want to tour the ruins with any other guide!

Coba was such an amazing experience, we looked into Alma's LDS Tours because we wanted a private tour for our family to enjoy our experience better. The guide had a good understanding of the scriptures and the Mayan culture, he was very good a tying things together for a spiritual experience. They provided waters all day long and food for lunch. The archeological sight was a great adventure because we got to ride bikes all over the site and we were also able to climb the pyramids. The day was so HOT and finishing with a cenote was the perfect combination for this tour. The cenote was perfect for the kids and the adults! Would do this tour again and I will definitely have to come back and do tours with ALMA'S TOURS again!

This was our 2nd tour with Almas and it did not disappoint. It is easy to book online or by calling a USA number. There were 13 of us and we were picked up on time from our resort in a very comfortable van. We have been to Coba with another company but really enjoyed the insights of our great tour guide, Marnie. He spoke very good English, and was very knowledgeable, even answering any question we came up with. After eating a delicious meal at the restaurant there, we went to a refreshing cenote to swim.. We concluded our trip with a visit to a traditional Mayan home where we were treated with delicious homemade tortillas with delicious eggs and a pumpkin seed salsa. All being made right there over a fire.
It was a great day and we will be using them again.

We did three tours with Alma Tours and also used them for airport transportation. Every tour was professional, informative and most importantly fun! The guides were top notch, drivers were excellent and so nice. We saw Coba, Ek Balaam, Tulum, Cenotes and Xcaret. Loved them all. Coba was the largest sight and we were able to hire some one to bike us around. It was sooooo hot and we were grateful for the extra help. So many structures in this location, plus all the trees around made it feel beautiful. Tulum is beautiful and right by the ocean. Love that it was dedicated to the God who descended from the sky. Fabulous pictures, beautiful ruins, what more could you ask for? Ek Balaam was our favorite. It's the only one you can climb and it's the oldest. Really great preserved carvings and not crowded at all. We went in April. Xcaret was so fun, I could go back several more times and we really loved the show at the end of the day. Totally worth staying for. So much to do and Alma made it all easy, enjoyable and informative. I'll use them again for sure.

What a tremendous experience! This was our second tour with Alma Tours. This time included a fantastic adventure with Mario. We rode bikes through the jungle to different sites all around the Coba ruins. Mario shared so many amazing facts and insights about this archeological treasure. We also had a delicious lunch and then jumped into the clear waters of a cenote. Mario even took a few minutes for a requested pit stop at a painted pottery store. He was on time when he picked us up, talkative on the way, and the van was clean and well air-conditioned with plenty of room for the eight adults in our party. We look forward to our next tour with Alma Tours.

This tour was supppper awesome! I’ll admit, I accidentally booked this not realizing it was a Mormon tour, but I love learning so it worked out:) Our guide was knowledgeable, the ruins were spectacular to see, and the biking through the jungle is delightful in helping cool you down lol. The cenote and lunch were a great ending and I’d definitely book with LDS Tours when we’re back. Also, they come to your hotel for pickup, there’s AC in the van, and if you need to contact their support staff, they’re fast and helpful.

We’ve done two tours with Alma Tours and we love them both… German our most recent guide is my guy (never knew him before and we quickly connected as brothers)! He was so friendly and knowledgeable. We are hoping to bring our entire family back in the future and do a multi-day tour with Alma to some of the other southern Mexico sights like Palenque. We were on a cruise ship porting at Costa Maya along with 4 other couples (all LDS). Alma drove down and provided us with such insight and knowledge of the ruins we felt chills a number of times throughout the tour! She was gracious, kind, loving, and made us feel "special" as we walked around. The amount of information she shared with us has made us all grateful to have taken the tour. Even if you're not LDS this is definitely a tour you'll want to take!!
