The bus picked us up at our hotel in the hotel zone so that was convenient. The music was pumping, the lights were flashing, and the energy was contagious. Arturo and Vanessa, our hosts, were phenomenal—they kept the party going with fun games and made sure everyone had a great time. This is not the kind of activity I normally do when travelling and I'm not really into nightclubs but I had a blast! Imagine: a disco on wheels! Drinks (beers, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks) are included too. This is must-do experience in Cancun. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an unforgettable time!Written 6 February 2024

I went on this tour with some friends and it was nice to get an overview of the city, take photos, and buy souvenirs during this. I mostly enjoyed driving outside of the Hotel Zone and learning about the city from the guides. We were told about nearby murals, architecture, and the general landscape. Made me want to visit some of the stops like el Mercado 28 since we only stopped in one store, and Playa Delfines for an extended period of time in the future!Written 29 November 2023

My family and I were looking for an inexpensive excursion that would allow us to tour Cancun while we were on vacation. After reading the reviews about this wonderful excursion from Xsighting Xcursions, we felt this one fit what we were looking for. And we were right, the tour guide gave an excellent history of the city and was very friendly. I recommend this excursion if you just want to see the city with not many thrills.

Our trip with Edgar, Tony, and Pedro was professionally conducted. They were highly responsive to all communications prior to the trip and picked us up on time. The tour was informative and the tour guides were considerate and caring. This tour is great if tourists are interested in getting to see Cancún's different neighborhoods without walking arou nd. The bus will cover the major areas of the city and the tour guides will share information about the history of those places. The first two stops are purely for shopping. The last stop is Playa Delfines where the famous Cancún sign is located. At the end of the trip, tourists are conveniently dropped at their hotels/resorts, without having to worry about transportation.

My driver Max and my guide Tony from Xightseeing Xcursions picked me up at my hotel on time. They emailed me the day before of the pick up time. I was the only one signed up that day but they still took me so I got a private tour. I love city tours and have always wanted to see the city of Cancun. He told me about the history of the city and showed me the old part and where the locals live and shop. Then we stopped at a Mexican marketplace where I found some nice souvenirs at good prices. We drove through the hotel zone and saw all the beautiful resorts. Then I had some free time at a high class outdoor mall. I walked around and got a gelato. Our last stop was the Cancun sign on the beach and Tony took several pictures of me with the sign. We couldn’t go to the ruins because they were closed because of Covid-19. I didn’t miss it because I have seen lots of other ruins. I told him to skip the Tequila Factory because I don’t drink. I was gone about 3 hours. I really recommend this tour as a nice break from the beach and pool at your resort.

We were picked up at the appointed time. We were the 10th and 11th people aboard as the first o was one family of tourists.
We had to go to the back of the van which was elevated. As a result in order to see anything during the 'city tour' portion of the tour we had to actually lay down on our seats to see out as the windows did not elevate with the seating. There was another row of seats behind and higher than us. Had anyone been seated there they wouldn't have been able to see anything. The guide was a nice guy but only the people in the first two rows could hear him. I have some very expensive hearing aids and turned them up to max volume and still only caught a word every so often. The guide was in the front passenger seat wearing a face shield and his head was behind the headrest so it was made worse. There should be a speaker system in the van because otherwise it was not a tour, just a cab ride.
You go to several shopping locations that I suspect were giving kickbacks to the guide and driver. They advertised a Tequila factory and chocolate making place but it was a large shopping store that usually had tequila and chocolate tasting but they were closed due to covid. This tour does not go to the large nice shopping mall though I think you drive by it as best as I could tell while lying on the seat looking out the window.

It said this was 9-3 city and shopping tour. We got on the bus at 9am and it took about an hour to pick up other passengers. This is more of a city tour, but not shopping . We stopped at market 28 and we were given 45 minutes . Second stop was at the tequilita tasting museum and apparently it was also part of a shopping stop but by the time tequila presentation completed you didn’t have much time to shop. Tour started around 10 am and ended 1:30pm we dropped off first passengers at their hotel at 1:30pm it says they’ll stop at the Cancun sign to take pictures but they gave 10 min and line to take picture by that sign they said 40 minutes long. So whole tour lasted 3.5 hrs roughly not 5-6 hours. If you looking to shop this is not the tour to take. If you want to shop take either taxi or bus $1 per person to Selecta supermarket it’s like Wal-mart but has better quality products and it’s located on the hotel strip. You can even put address in your phone GPS so you know when to get off.

Hello! Thanks letting us know about your experiencem we´ll make sure to let the operations tieam know about your comments in order to improve this part. But for the 20 years of experience that we have doing the City and Shopping tour, it is very hard to calculate the perfect time for Shopping, the tour last it 4.5 hours and two of those are for shopping.
The passangers dropped off first are usually the ones that have the oportunity to take the pictures with the Cancun Sign at the begining, since they are the very first passanger on board, so they didn´t miss this part of the tour, they did it before is start it.
Our goal is to make the Cancun City Tour a complete experience, the right combination between culture, history of Cancun and Shopping, knowing the right amoun of time for each activity in is very complicated.
Once again we apologize for the inconvenient and we will look into improvement for your next visit.

Terrible experience! The microphone and speakers did not work. We were seating at the back of the bus so I could not hear a word of the very little information that was given about the city. The tour guides did not seem knowledgeable to be able to teach the city’s history. They gave us about 30 minutes to go into 2 stores to shop. One of the stores did not have any tag prices on the product, so if you wanted to buy something, you had to rely on any of the employees to give you pricing which I thought was weird, they could just give you whatever price based on how you look, either you have money or your don’t. They did not give us time to eat so we had to starved until dinner time when we got back at our resort . When we got to the Cancun sign at Playa Delfines, where we were supposed to take pictures, they told us to get off the bus and quickly take a picture anywhere but not make a line (there was a line to take pictures at the sign) because there was not time. They gave us 5 minutes there. so we took a pictures with partial Cancun sign and with other strangers coming on our pictures. The heat was brutal and the tour company doesn’t even provide you with water, it was until one of the on board passengers who told the tour guide to at least provide us with a water bottle. One of the tour guides try so hard to be funny but instead he came out so inappropriate specially since some kids were on the buss. Don’t waste your whole day and your money going on this tour. For sure, at the end of the tour, they expect you to tip for the terrible service they gave you.

Hello Gloria! First of all we´ll like to apologize for the experience you wen´t through on the tour. You should knwe that we´ve made many changes in our operation, including a different bus with a good quality audio, now we include water, soda and beer we don´t understand why you weren´t giving water, those are included. We also had a meetong and talked about your review so we´re able to provide a better service.

I felt that we were doing things that the dollar bus can take you to. Nothing was off the beating path. There were no historical stops one market place and if you do not know how to travel I spotted that the first store was a tourist trap. working with the tour guide. The mall and the public beach were just that public and free. The tequila tasting gave you such a small amount that was not worth your time, and the guide worked for the bus company. This was a waste of time and money catch a city bus see and learn more

Hello Lexi, am sorry to hear about your experience, however, we believe you´re mistaking us for another company, we run our tour only tuesday, thursday and saturday, it last 5 hrs and we have two guides on board giving all the information about cancun and talking about history, we stop at market 28, also stop at equila museum for more history and tasting as well is the chocolate factory. We include drinks during our tour too.

I think doing a private tour in future would be better as some people on tour were rushing saying it's boring, complaining making the operators felt threatened and rushed the rest of group to hurry, end there lunch and or shopping and get back on bus to move along. It's was during time they give you most on tour to move around freely shop tequila taste etc. Another thing is everyone didn't want to do the tequila tour so the rest of us were not allowed. The operator of tour said oir whole group had to be there and tour was to be before we all ventured around. The only experience we really got was photos and upon questioning since we were sitting in front got alot of historical culture breakdown of Mexico, the reason behind the art on residences, and closest to fans. Which learning from an operator young gentleman who was kind and very knowledgeable he who was in his 70 was my highlight!!!

Great trip and excellent tour guides! We were picked up from our Playa Del Carmen hotel and driven to the tour bus in Cancun which was very convenient and included in our ticket. We had a good amount of time at each stop during the tour and had greatly informative history shared about Cancun throughout the drive. Cold bottled water was also included and restrooms are available at most of the stops. 100% recommend, especially if you are staying further away from Cancun but would still like to explore a few of the main attractions of the area!

Fun tour. Bus is very nice. Tour guide is very fluent in English/Spanish and funny too.
Tour stops are mostly shopping/Souvenir type. Second place they stopped at (Plaza La Fiesta) was more reasonably priced for decor items, Wall art, etc.
