    Taxco
    Stop: 7 hours
Taxco, its name comes from Nahuatl (Tlachtli-Co) which means: ball game or place where the ball game is played, is a small town located in the State of Morelos in Mexico. It is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the country. Taxco has had an important role in the history of Mexico, in 1821, in the Convent of San Bernardino de Siena de Taxco, the Plan of Iguala or the Three Guarantees by Agustín de Iturbide was drafted, which later, on February 24, That year, he would sign with Vicente Guerrero in the city of Iguala, establishing the Independence of Mexico from Spain and unifying the insurgent and realistic armies. The National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) named the area of historical monuments of Taxco as a national heritage on March 19, 1990, which consists of 72 blocks comprising 96 buildings with historical value, built between the centuries XVII and XIX. It is one of the most important tourist centers of this state and for its architectural beauty it is considered by the Ministry of Tourism as Ciudad Luz. The city was named «Magic Town» of Mexico in 2002, being the third town to receive this appointment due to the quality of the silverware, the colonial constructions and the surrounding landscape, because many of Taxco's buildings are of Viceroy style and date from the golden age, such as the Temple of Santa Prisca, a church more than 250 years old, built in the Baroque style of Novohispano that is an icon of the town. Taxco also belongs to the state's Triangle of the Sun tourist zone, along with Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo and Acapulco. The large mining exploitation developed in the place, especially for the obtaining of silver, consolidated Taxco as one of the most significant mining centers of the Novo-Hispanic times, being the second oldest mining center in the continent after the Zacualpan Royal Mine.9 His traditional silver work is world renowned. In this tour we will visit: - The Church of Santa Prisca: This church is considered one of the most beautiful works of baroque art in Mexico, its architecture is charming and you can witness the great work that was done to create this church, which was finished between the years 1751 and 1758. - The Christ from the top: From this place you will get the best panoramic view of Taxco, the ideal time to take many photographs and capture the beauty of this Magical Town. - Colonial Streets: It is joy to walk through these narrow streets with so much history where transcendental episodes of the Mexican independence era were lived. { - Silver Crafts: We will have the opportunity to visit and buy the world-renowned Taxco silver, there are hundreds of high-class jewelers centers as well as craft workshops, a joy for shopping lovers.
