About
The route consists of going all along the river until you reach a beautiful waterfall in the jungle. All participants must descend from their horses to take a walk towards the mountain and the waterfall. We will cross hanging bridges and climb steps to reach the waterfall. When we reach the waterfall, there will be enough time to cool off in the river water. Once we reach the waterfall, we head towards a steep hill, then descend and this is where you can run your horse a bit.We will drive an ATV through the jungle of Puerto Vallarta. Feel the power beneath you as you run along the banks of the beautiful Sierra Madre Rainforest. These ATV rides include incredible experiences.

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- G7754OGkevinr0 contributionsGreat Day in the city and mountains! What a great trip ! Ramon was the very best tour guide , and Frederico the driver was excellent also . The tequila tasting and lunch was one of the best we have ever had. Great value would highly recommend this trip !Written 4 May 2024
- D4873ZGsandys0 contributionsBreak Away and Learn!A great day! Salvador was the most knowledgable tour operator! From the tequila distillery to the town of San Sabastian , all of this tour was amazing!Written 7 March 2024
- KamloopsPaul0 contributionsNot a good dealWe were given this tour as a bonus perk from the resort. The guide picked us up at the resort and went to several other resorts to gather the other people. Three people failed to be there on time, so we had to go back to the Riu twice and the Occidental once more. It took over 90 minutes to get to the first viewing place. The tour consists of a brief stop near the Malecon, a quick walk through the Plaza, and a prolonged stop at a store selling silver. The tequila stop was a very small distillery in a rundown area of PV. The products for sale were extremely expensive ($60-$105 US) and not special. The final stop of the day was lunch at restaurant on the way to Mismaloya, a 45 minute drive from PV. The food was mediocre and very overpriced, a platter for two of tortillas, chicken, pico de gaio, nachos, and avacado was $63 US. There was no other place to eat. Bottled water was $4 US. Thankfully for us, the tour was free. For the other guests, this would have been an expensive, and not very good trip.Written 5 November 2023
- Getaway7884560 contributionsUnnecessary RequirementRight before our tour we received an e-mail from the company requiring us to download a boarding pass. We had printed out the tour ticks previously. We don't have e-mail on our phones so we had to spend an anxious, unnecessary hour at the hotels tech center trying to hook up one of their printers to our computer so we could print this out. No other tour company in Puerto Vallarta has ever required this of us. Most don't even ask for our printed tickets but usually have a clipboard with participants names on it, and just ask us our names. This experience soured the trip for us. - RemittanceNinja0 contributionsFun way to spend the dayGreat way to see the city and countryside! Our tour guide's name (slipping my mind at the moment) was very knowledgeable and personable, though he had a great line... "you make do with what you got". The tour itself was quite spectacular. Good way to see downtown Puerto Vallarta, the coastal highway, and the countryside to the south. Lunch was great at the tequila ranch. I could have done without the obvious marketing towards some businesses (it has a lengthy jewelry store stop and multiple vendor stops), but overall pleasant and convenient.Written 2 October 2023
- Q675WDmichellet0 contributionsSuper FunSo Much Fun! Wish it was in English only because it was hard to follow the entertainment story. They did try to do both, but it was hard for me to pick up what it was about. The staff was amazing... Funny.... and so accommodating! Unfortunately, it was raining at time that we left but that did not stop anyone from entertaining us or serving us. they tarped the ship in minutes of the rain. The dinner was amazing, cooked perfectly. Lobster was HUGE! Drinks a plenty! Keep in Mind this is not for someone who has a hard time doing stairs as the dinner room is down a steep Set of stairs to the Bow of the boat. (which had A/C) so comfortable. Music was awesome as well! NOT For KIDS! Taxis were available right outside door if transportation is needed.Written 23 August 2023

- timd390 contributionsGreat Tequila, Rest of Tour was to access your wallet with local peddlersTour misrepresented details of tour. We were forces into local shops that had cut a Rev share deal with the tour. Lots of walking in extreme heat, easily 10k steps. Half of the tour was forcing us to walk backstreets to to go Pre-arranges shop. My reservation was changed to a different time without contacting me to approve the time change. I then had to call the tour agent when the transport didn’t have my name on itinerary. The day was ruined by treating the tour like a gift shop exit at Disney World. The Tequila Distillery was amazing and had lots of fun. You unfortunately can’t just do the distilleryWritten 13 July 2023
- Teethcleaner7140 contributionsBest tour ever!!!We had the most amazing time on this tour!! Mario was our guide and we were fascinated by his stories of history and his jokes were hilarious! It was our favorite part of our visit to PV.Written 9 June 2023
- RanchWendy0 contributionsCity and tequila factory tourI’ve done the city and tequila tours before that were recommended by the airline that I use and really enjoyed them. This was my first since the pandemic and with friends who had never been on this before. We were al rather disappointed. The tour downtown is fine, hasn’t changed in years including going to a sliver jewellery although a different one than the last time, all fine. Where we stopped up top to take photos is t a spectra view as in the past, the location is now different. Pretty but not as vast and in my opinion not as good. Still for first timers it’s fine. It was the tequila tour that was most disappointing. It was very rushed, not a lot of information, so noisy from another group there that is was really difficult to hear anyway. Tasting were quickly poured around the room, no time to actually do anything but shoot it back before another one was poured, no chance for questions. Rushed off to purchase if you wanted then over for lunch. We chose not to prepay for lunch, we don’t eat big lunches, we were told we could order a light lunch off the menu. There was no light lunch, just full meals, 4 choices, from 800 pesos to 1200 pesos noting that the most expensive one would feed 2 people, we made it for 3. We were the last ones to get food, then kind of rushed through. Seafood lunch for 3 with 2 beers was $150 CND. I guess not crazy however we’d only wanted something small as is our usual. This should have been pointed out at the booking not told it’s a full meal only. I noted that a few people just ordered a beer, they also said they thought it was misleading. Then off back to the hotel. The photographer never did come to us to show us photos of us that he’d taken along the way, we may have wanted to purchase one or two. Over all I wouldn’t do this again. I’d built up the tour to these friends because the last one I did was so much fun, it was a different tequila factory we’d been taken to on the tour from our hotel (same hotel as this time) the guide there was amazing, so much fun, full of info and stories, it made our trip. For the cost and then the big lunch bill I think it was not to our likingWritten 13 May 2023
- Storyteller5919460 contributionsTequila tourI definitely got my money’s worth from this city and tequila tour. I was super impressed by the customer service the tour guides and driver had making sure each guest experience was pleasant. Sorry, I forgot their names (wish I had written to give each of them the recognition they deserve). I highly recommend this tour to experience what Puerto Vallarta has to offer and to learn a bit of history. Book this tour while planning a trip to Puerto Vallarta, you won’t be disappointed!!!Written 26 April 2023
- U7628UUterriw0 contributionsOkay! It was alright. The coffee along the mountain side was my ultimate favourite part of the whole thing my friend loved the tequila part of it all. I wish I had bought some of the coffee that was offered. I was disappointed alcohol was given without food for no cost and better selection as some people don’t prefer sea food! Just a thought!Written 25 April 2023
- justnanci0 contributionsAMAZING DAY TOURVallatra Tours was awesome. Very fascinating history for this tiny town in the mountains. Gives a deep dive into the spanish/Mexican beginnings. - Ajdpistons0 contributionsVery informative tour with shopping and lunch (for an additional cost)We did this tour, booked through our tour company. Our driver was Paco with our guide, Alex. Alex was very informative and definitely knows the history of the town. Had a great lunch in the jungle (be prepared to pay a hefty price).Written 7 April 2023
